Location was right on the beach with beautiful cliff views of the ocean. Pacific Terrace Hotel is pristinely maintained! The staff were all very friendly, professional and always eager to assist. We stayed in a junior suite with partial ocean views. Plenty of room for a family of four. The bathroom area is very large as is the living/bedroom area. I love that they had a large vanity area outside the shower/toilet room. Bedrooms were very comfy, nice dining room table and kitchenette in our room. We had delicious restaurant breakfasts each morning on the patio near the pool. Our 10 & 12 year olds loved the closeness to the beach and all the amenities too. Highly recommend and will return to Pacific Terrace when visiting San Diego area.

Nothing… everything was wonderful!!

Beautiful hotel location and felt very safe walking the boardwalk, the surf, and going to nearby restaurants. Staff support was outstanding. Parking under the hotel was very convenient. Would stay again.

Reserved two deluxe rooms with full ocean view. One of the rooms was on the first floor and the other was on the second floor. The first-floor room was behind the pool area, behind the tables and umbrellas, behind the people at the pool. Not exactly full ocean view room. The people in that room were able to negotiate to move to another 3rd floor room for one night but had to move to another room the second night. The second night was a partial view room.

We were on a ladies trip (we're in the 35-44 yr old age range). We wanted to party in PB, but then go and retreat to a quiet hotel and also spend some time chilling having cocktails by the pool. This place was perfect for that. It was mostly retirees and a family or two. We got an Uber to Bird Rock for dinner (6 mins), to a club in the gas lamp district (20 mins) and could walk to all the restaurants and bars of PB. We tried out Water Bar for afternoon drinks overlooking the ocean and Hideaway for Sunday brunch, both very close to the hotel. There was no noise at all at night despite our room overlooking the boardwalk. The parking lot ($40 pn) has two EV spots. We also got the free bikes and did a little ride alongside the beach. The service at this hotel is 5*. When we were by the pool staff were constantly checking in. We ate on the patio by the pool 3 times, tried lots of different menu items for breakfast and lunch and it was all great. Highly recommend.

The plumbing in the shower was in need of some maintenance, but we still had good water pressure.

The Hotel meet our expectation!! The room was great, clean, smell good, great location, perfect terrace size, love the ocean view from our room, nice pillows. We also love the 4:00 o'clock chocolate cookies for guesses. Nice and friendly staff including receptionist, cleaning and maintenance personnel. Beach chairs, umbrellas, body boards, and bikes available for the guesses was a plus.

In the room's bathroom, probably need a stronger extractor fan to removes the heat and odors quickly.

Paying the price for a costal view but mosly viewing cars entering garage drive in and having the wonderful view of the employee entrance. Not having a full costal view as I imagined I was paying for.

Breakfast was great. The yogurt, granola, fruit and oatmeal with walnuts were good and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. I used a hotel bike at no charge and since they had many available, I didn’t need to return it in 2 hours. I rode it 11 am to 7 pm.

It was a little pricey for the area, but the room was spacious and had a pretty good view. I stayed in LaJolla for 4 days prior to staying at PTH so the area in Pacific Beach wasn’t as nice, but I did have wonderful, fresh seafood at Nico’s Fish Market a block or 2 away.

A major problem to the otherwise perfect stay was what can only be called the “coffin beds”. The comfortable mattresses sit atop a high, 5”-thick wraparound frame that was difficult to climb over in getting either in or out. PROBLEM: our 8-year-old granddaughter banged into the protruding corner abutment of the coffin frame. At one point she has been sitting on the bed playing on her tablet when she accidentally slipped off backwards, banged her back on the wood-frame abutment, then fell painfully to the floor. Also, my short wife had to kind of roll up onto the mattress to navigate her body over the large frame. Recommendation to the owners: get rid of the coffin bed frames. You don’t want to have an injured or, worse, a paralyzed kid on your hands.

The pool and hot tub are the perfect temps. The views from our room were spectacular! The TV was HUGE and had a great picture. The whole outside area around the pool was inviting and comfortable (tiki torches, fire pits, heaters, chaise lounge and comfortable tables and chairs, and free lemonade and iced tea or fruit infused water). The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is large. Everything was comfortable and clean.

I wish there was the Cafe was more appealing and bigger.

Everything!! First and foremost, the Staff are AMAZING! They are so friendly and accommodating! This hotel has a 5 star resort-like feel, and every single person goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and exceptional! They have everything you need and more! Beach chairs, towels, bikes, secure parking, room service, poolside service, with guest laundry services and robes! I loved the convenience of charging everything to the room! The beds and pillows are really comfortable. There is both AC and a ceiling fan. They offer 2 large complimentary bottles of water, which was nice! The food from their partnered restaurant was awesome! Great location and within walking distance to many restaurants and shops! We enjoyed the spectacular sunsets and surfers every evening!

We loved the view from our room and our granddaughter enjoyed the pool immensely 🙂 Our room was cleaned everyday !! Plus the chocolates were yummy

For our extended stay complimentary breakfast would have been appreciated and the furniture looked tired, especially our kitchen cabinets plus another dresser would have helped store all our belongings
