Although this was clearly a budget hotel, the location and particular staff members were amazing. Little Italy is the place to stay in if you're looking to stay in downtown San Diego, especially at this hotel which is right next to India Street. Michael and Clayton were receptionists who were very friendly and helpful during our stay - you could tell the rest of the staff was normal/kinda bad but we love Michael and Clayton. It may be right next to the airport, but if you go to the rooftop terrace, there's a beautiful view of the city.

In our first room, we had very loud plumbing, but as soon as we told Michael and Clayton about it, they upgraded us to one of their suites and we had no problems there. It also wasn't the cleanest hotel or had the best facilities, but you can tell they care more than your average budget hotel. I would honestly stay there again.

The location was perfect. Great restaurants around, close to the church where the wedding occurred that we were attending and the walkability was also supreme. It was the weekend of the Little Italy Art Walk-very fun!

After our first nite we did not have cold water(hard to shower with scalding water). Our air conditioner also was not working. However both of these issues were fixed after reporting these issues a few times during the day. There was also toothpaste/water that was spit on the wall (they obviously missed) close to the sink. LWe reported this several times and were finally comped a room clean and gave us a free breakfast. However the cleaners failed to remove this drool on the wall-gross.

Reception was friendly and helpful. We were able to check into our room early, which enabled us to make the most of our afternoon. A beeping smoke detector was fixed with 5 mins of asking. Additional coffee for the coffee-maker was instantly provided with a smile. We were pleased to have paid a little extra for a better room when we booked, and much enjoyed the room and the view. 10min walk from the station, very close to the vibrant cafes, bars. and restaurants of Little Italy and close just a few mins walk to the seafront and the very good Matitime Museum.

The only morning we had breakfast, a Sunday, service was frustratingly slow. While adequate, the breakfast was not the best

We stayed in the Cabrillo Suite. It was very spacious and overlooking Little Italy. The suite had a pull-out couch, standing shower & a tub. Felt very homey and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location of the hotel is amazing, especially if you plan on staying in the downtown area of SD. Lots of great restaurants around!

The valet for the hotel also valets for the restaurant on the 4th floor of the hotel, so it can get pretty full quickly leaving guests to have to park in other lots making it inconvenient. The bed was moderately comfortable but very bouncy and springy.

The location is prime, in the heart of Little Italy, close to everything.

The staff were rude and unreliable. We asked the night staff for late check out by an hour. He was on his smoke break, so he wrote down the two rooms we are staying at and said he will put it in the system. At 11 AM, the housekeeping started knocking on our door, we told her that we have a late check out and she said no you don’t. We called the front desk and they said there was no note about the late check out, but the front desk staff was accommodating and gave us the hour we requested. Unfortunately, the housekeeping lady had different agenda and kept knocking at our doors amd threatened to charge us an extra day for not leaving the room. We reported the housekeeping staff to the front desk upon check out.

It’s was convenient. Close to highway’s entrance, in the midst of Little Italy, and a lot of restaurants/ coffee shops around. Transportation nearby for ComicCon. Staff was accomodating and pleasant. The manager event allowed us to store our luggage in an office to accommodate us, greatly appreciate it.

Minor things, like no big trash bin In our room, rooms are not all that great but they are clean And decent.

I liked that the views of the sun going down were amazing. The rooms were clean and the lighting in the rooms were really good. I would recommend booking a regular room and not booking the suit room since the bed is way smaller.

I didn't like that the bed seemed like a full sized bed instead of the king size bed I had booked. I also didn't like the female with the red head working at the reception area. She was super rude and dismissive when we were both checking in and checking out as well.

I liked that the area was really great and it offered a great value and had amenities I didn't expect at this price point. I sort of felt like a VIP!

The people next to my room seemed a bit unhinged? Had a dog that would bark if it saw or heard me in my room or patio so I ended up not using it. Also the older woman in the room was shouting at either the dog or someone a lot. And lastly the dog would scratch at the door when I'm guessing she was away, which sort of shook the floor in my room, but I was so tired that I thankfully knocked out, but i would imagine the hotel would want to be on top of that, but maybe nobody Else complained for them to notice.

Location! Basically in Little Italy! Close to dining, pet friendly, has a pool, and hotel restaurant. Restaurant has a bit of a view. Bedding very clean as were towels. Plenty of pillows that were comfortable. There’s a vending machine. Some fun areas to sit/see art on display are available. Staff was helpful. Has a chill relaxed vibe.

It’s a bit less fresh than last time. The room and closet had a slight odor maybe from being closed off? Also the “nooks and crannies” could have been more clean like shower corners. Not enough soap provided. Dispensers in shower we’re empty but, they did have small shampoo and conditioner bottles on counter. Pet fee is high! Should be based on size or something. No view from room.

The location in Little Italy was very convenient for attending the conference at the Convention Center and being close to great (mainly Italian obviously) food options.

Although there was a sign that they are not cleaning the rooms except on request I had the impression they randomly did “something” - like one day making the bed, another day changing towels but not cleaning the bathroom, another day taking away the towel without replacing it (there was still a spare one). I also had an issue at the gym for which I had the impression nobody bothered to trying to solve it. And one day we didn’t have water and didn’t receive any feedback from the reception what they are doing about it.
