I enjoyed my time at the Howard Johnson. The staff at the front desk were friendly and very helpful and it brought me comfort that they genuinely showed concern and offered help during my stay. The rooms were very clean it was by far the cleanest room I’ve stayed in on this side of town. Housekeeping checked in everyday asking if I needed more towels or needed a linen exchange. They came through with a broom and mopped and cleaned out the fridge and the microwave everyday. I will definitely be returning to the Howard Johnson when I need a motel ! :)

Homeless traffic

Quan was excellent at providing our room when arriving and our room was very clean. It's not fancy but very clean and love the long mirrors. It's right near all the main shops and bars, and the hiking places were also nearby. Very respectful staff. 24 hour office is a lot of help when planning to leave at midnight.

Need an air refreshner for the smoking room, the smoking room was heavy on the cigarette smell or air out the room a bit. Most of the staff was great except a lady named Angie when leaving was kind of rude about the paperwork when paying to stay an extra day. Other than that it was a great stay.

I loved that the whole place was as described. I loved that when I rented the room, there were no hidden costs & the staff knew what was up or down, along with deposit being charged, it was given back right away! The room was checked before you left, so there were no issues. The staff was nice & respectful!

I would like that coffee maker was bigger & that getting coffee would be a problem if don't know about where single coffee packets are to have coffee during the time that I stayed.

Sparse! Nothing substantial to eat. Wife likes tea =N/A. Only coffee & packaged muffin. HoJo had reputation for food =Disappointed, but with room rate, expectations low.

Pool was closed! Shower was not clean had hair on the wall

The staff was amazing and the housekeeping was clean every day. Trash taken out and new towels there. Beds made.

It's obviously in an area with a lot of transient people so that seemed like it might be sketchy. But I never felt unsafe. $50 cash deposit required. I wasn't warned in advance, so that was confusing. But I got it back at the end.

Breakfast and room was very comfortable

There was a stain on the comforter and hair behind the toilet. Please pay coose attention to detail but otherwise it was good.

I liked the privacy and solitude! The internet is really good! I stayed a total of 10 consecutive nights and did a spiritual retreat which always includes lots of meditation practice. I considered it a success and left a happy customer!

This place does attract a lot of noisy people who party and fight w/ each other (the area); but I'm on a budget, and they mostly refrain from bothering me too much. I usually get up at two or three AM to begin my day of meditating, that way most of the other people in the building are asleep!

Location and my parking spot was always open. My thought cleanliness is zenith matters not how new or old a building is. Enter and your guest should find clean floors dusted furniture clean fresh towels and clean fresh sheets

It was a good location for me traveling by bus. I had several hours to wait after checkout until my bus came, and the staff kindly stored my backpack in a safe location until my bus came, so I didn’t have to carry it all day.
