We liked how modern the rooms were compared to what the hotel looked like on the outside. We also liked the very plush pillows and the comfortable beds. The price was equal to or lower than motels in the area and we liked staying in a hotel MUCH better.

The area outside is a little run down. It seemed a bit unsafe, but the hotel itself was safe. It was also a LONG walk to our room, which was kind of annoying. It seemed like a Vegas-style hotel with all the arms of rooms.

We made sure to reserve a room with a view that overlooked the pool, golf course, and mountains, and it did not disappoint. The rooms were clean and comfortable, other than the bed being a little firm for my wife's liking. The best part was the service. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast chef and server was friendly and helpful. We particularly liked Tina who managed and served at the in-hotel restaurant for breakfast. She was delightful and helped each day get off to a bright start for our family. The hotel itself was a little retro and a bit outdated, but we'll absolutely stay here again due to the service. It truly was terrific!

When the food at the breakfast buffet had been there a little while, it was overheated by the warmers and became inedible. They were always quick to bring out fresh food when we asked though.

It was wonderful having breakfast and lunch at Lumia Leah. A Black women Owned restaurant. We the food was amazing and The Cappucino great! With the excellent service by Leah herself, my grandmotther and I felt like a king and Queen. Go support her amazing business!

The water in the hotelroom was cold on the first day. Also thy handout vouchers for 5$ at breakfast, it would be easier if thy would give these when we cheched in, now we had to ask for them every time we went for breakfast.

Before we even arrived we were welcomed by Misty and her five star level of hospitality and customer service! She addressed all of my concerns and was very prompt about handling things before our check in time/ day of arrival. Misty you are a star ⭐️! The gal in the restaurant for the next day was so slammed and short staffed, she was running the show all alone ! Back of house, front of house and everything, meanwhile she was so calm and pleasant to everyone, she didn't even break a sweat! The food was amazing and she created a wonderful flavorful cappuccino especially for me and I was very impressed by that ! I will definitely return to the Satellite the next time I am in Colo Springs, because of these two gals who obviously have customer service mastery and shine in all they do ! Thank you each for the very warm welcome to Colorado Springs:) All the best to you Tracy

The air conditioning was more powerful than anything I’ve ever seen. I like my room near arctic, and I actually had to turn the a/c down at one point. The interaction with staff felt like interacting with people rather than paid actors on a payroll. The eclectic group of residents who live there are wildly entertaining and very friendly once you get them to open up. They have all sorts of on-site services like a barber and a vet office. It’s such a unique place to stay.

We tried to call early to confirm check-in time, but no one was manning the phone. Once we got there, it took a while to get anyone’s attention. One of the residents ended up banging on the counter to get someone’s attention for us. They just seemed to be generally understaffed.

The staff where very friendly the room was large and had three balconies, the beds where very comfortable and the view was spectacular. Everything was very clean and we enjoyed the apartment size refrigerator. We were hesitant at first because the property is dated and there are full time residents as well as businesses on the first floor. I wasn’t sure if I had pulled up to an apartment building or housing complex. But once we checked in we were very happy with our room as well as the breakfast. We never had time to use the other amenities but I would stay here again. Most modern hotels you can’t even open the windows, our room had three sliding glass doors that led to three decent size balconies (end room) and two rooms. Bedroom with two comfortable queen size beds and a living room with lounge chair and couch. You could live in this room.

I didn't have anything to eat. Don't think there was a breakfast, but there could have been. I had a little trouble being warm and was greatly helped by the woman who worked that night. Unfortunately, I did not get her name, but she went out of her way to help me. I slept better than I have in years - which was the whole night without waking up. However, I'd been up for 48 hrs. Everything was comfortable and very clean. There are people who also live there and I believe they do some of the work. All that I met were really nice. Lots of friendliness and smiles. I go back to COS every 6 mo and will stay there again and again. It was a comfortable environment. I think if you ask to face the mountains you probably will get a room facing that direction. It wasn't important to me. I used to live there so have seen them many times. There are restaurants close by and markets. There is a little deck and if you want to stay warm at night you might want to bring a blanket. AC works good. This was my first stay. lots of perm tenants had dogs, but I never heard them bark. I liked it so will return.

The heating system is older so is on a different routine. You get heat in the winter and AC in the summer. We've had lots of high temps this summer, but still cools at night. I had some surgery so needed a little more warmth at night.

It was a great deal. Everyone was friendly, and the room was really nice. The room claimed to have a balcony before, but I was sure that was some sort of exaggeration. But it wasn't! It had a legitimate balcony that was quite nice. We were able to see a bunch of fireworks from it on July 4th.

Our room smelled fine, but there were some places in the hallways that smelled like smoke pretty badly.

The air conditioner was not on when we arrived in the room and it only stayed cool with the curtains closed during the day. Parking was a challenge for me due to handicap parking was taken for residents and not handicap parking for hotel guests. Everything was great.
