The main Inn building is truly classic! There is a lovely enclosed porch where a substantial breakfast included in the room rate is served, a stately wood paneled bar, and a welcoming formal dining room where dinner is served to the public several nights a week. The Copper Beech Inn is the real deal! Even better were our rooms, large, comfortable queen-bedded rooms with spacious tiled bathrooms with separate bathtubs and walk-in showers. The decor reminded me a bit of a simplified version of a Williamsburg Inn room with very nice Regency style mahogany furniture and excellent amenities, including choice Williams-Sonoma towels and other upscale touches. Our rooms were lovely.

The Copper Beech Inn is a classic for those who appreciate a historic inn set in a lovely landscape. There is nothing to dislike about this property, and Ivoryton, where it is located, is a very interesting old mill town with its own unique history.

Proximity to the Goodspeed opera House. The main Inn is very inviting and was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The staff was very professional and friendly. Our room was so great! And the breakfast was well done.

The Inn appears to need some repairs/maintenance on the outside. And the road to our building has lots of pot holes and really needs paving. If we came here again we would bring a large bar of soap! It was tiny. Also we asked for a late check out (half hour) and were denied.

The property was beautifully landscaped and the 3 buildings were richly decorated. The room was spacious, loved the comfortable bed, amazing bathroom, and great deck to sit and look at nature. The breakfast was delicious and the setting or the restaurant was lovely. It was easy to find and a convenient drive to towns nearby.

Ice was a little far from the room , hard to find

The breakfast was poor at best....The idea of a sit down was appealing but cold and weak omelet with cold stale toast and awful potatoes topped with awful coffee just didn't do it for us. BTW the server as well as the check in attendee can use some more training

Magnificent hotel in a lovely environment, although being close to a road, there is little traffic and therefore calm. The staff is very welcoming and warm. We ate there, refined cuisine, with an astonishing French-inspired menu, but adapted to American tastes, the chef is French. Breakfast was also excellent.

Everything! Were going back in December 28! For the past 30 years we had gone to the Bee and Thistle Inn which has closed. We are so pleased to have found the Copper Beach Inn which we have recommended to ourvgriends who previously went to us to the “Bee”. One of our friends,the Browns, will be joining us at our new favorite, Copper Beech Inn on Devember 28!

Since it’s an old house, the soundproof isn’t good. The solution could be like ask for the room on the second floor. Otherwise, everything is perfect.

The entire visit was wonderful. Room was quite large and extremely clean. Staff were very accommodating and the service was excellent.

The kitchen closed too early (8pm on Saturday). Breakfast was nice but limited to continental fare.

The room was beautiful, comfortable and felt quite luxurious. Our room in the Comstock House had a deck off the back with chairs. It was so nice to have housekeeping daily to change towels and tidy up. So many places aren’t providing or can’t provide that service these days. There is a fine restaurant at the inn and breakfast is included . the location was convenient to Essex and other nearby historic towns. we were five minutes away from the historic Ivoryton Playhouse where we enjoyed a great summer production of Ring of Fire.

it would be great if coffee were available earlier than 8:00 AM.

outdoor lacked comfortable places to sit/relax (the few chairs were soaked even though it hadn’t rained), the breakfast was only fair and very limited
