I have stayed at this same hotel during and after three different renovations/acquisitions over about 20 years. This interior renovation and change of management is by far the best that I have experienced, re: staff helpfulness, efficiency and room features. The hotel's rooms and common areas are very nicely designed and very clean.

When I stayed at this hotel in July 2023, I had a room without a closet; it had only hooks on the wall. During this visit, I stayed in a room that had a closet. Not sure whether closets have been included in all of the rooms or not. Also, the elevator is a bit rickety, slow, and not very clean or well-kept.

Although the building is a bit old and in need of of some renovation, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and completely adequate for our needs. Location is excellent and the value is good. Within easy walking distance of several good restaurant options. The staff were great.

It shows the signs of age and needs some esthetic improvements.

nice hotel, but was wondering, after overcharge happened. Next day , nice lady on front desk,explained to me, help to fix what was done wrong by previous front desk representative. Hotel nice, good breakfast. But unprofessional personal , who not looking for way to make right, just try to blame booking company, computer... left really bad feelings.

Liked the tea, coffee and flavoured water in the lobby. Comfy beds. Pleasant staff. Located right next to a diner.

The first day at breakfast were yummy cheese omelettes and hash browns, but the next day they weren't there and instead they had flavourless scrambled eggs (which was honestly all I had expected). I heard another patron complain there had been bacon the day before but the second day they only had sausage (I'm vegetarian so didnt pay attentionto the meat). I think they should only serve the yummy options!

The employee at the desk was very helpful and understanding because Booking.com had not forwarded my reservation to them when we arrived and we had to just pay for a room with them. It was 3 hours after we got there before they received the reservation!! Won’t be using booking.com for hotel reservations again!

The location and the age of the hotel. We loved staying in a historic hotel.The hotel was great. We Loved the porch and location. The room had a lot of space and the bathroom was in great condition.

We really liked the property. My parents are in their 80s. The stairs were hard for them. We were on the first floor.

Everything was clean, everything worked. Shower was nice and spacious. Beds were comfy room was big the people at the desk were polite, helpful and friendly and knew what they were doing to get us checked in quickly and efficiently. The gym had great equipment as well for a quick workout on the go and the amenities seemed endless.

There really wasn't anything I didn't like.

It really was well run and the location was good with restaurants and easy walk away. You could not ask for more from the breakfast buffet. Staff were very cordial and the room was very clean as were the halls. I also liked that there were signs posted specifying that the areas with rooms were considered quiet areas, in clouding the halls.

It was quite pricey I thought but you get what you pay for.

Staff were extremely courteous and helpful.

Fire alarm went off early Saturday morning,power went out twice, once late Saturday night, and again early Sunday morning, though not much could have been done about either incident.

The staff members were very helpful and respectful. Peaceful rest, room was clean and stocked beautifully with towels,soap etc...Loved the breakfast set up. We will definitely revisit this hotel for our future Delaware visit. Thank you everyone for your beautiful service/hospitality. The Pickett Couple
