I travelled solo to Wilmington from Ireland so I did lots of research before booking my hotel. This hotel matched my needs and it did not disappoint. The suite I stayed in was very spacious, extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were so welcoming and helpful as I'd lots of questions with it being my first time in Wilmington. The hotel was in a great location downtown and across from Chancery Market that has lots of eateries, a coffee stand and a bar. It is only a few minutes walk from the landmark hotel Du Pont and approx. 15-20mins walk from the Riverfront. The Christiana mall is approx. 20mins in an uber if you like to shop. If I returned to Wilmington I would stay here again. I travelled by train from Philadelphia as I was in Philly on business and I wanted to take a trip for a few days to visit Delaware. I booked an Uber to go to the hotel from the train station which was less than 10 mins in the uber.

We didn’t use all the kitchen extras, only staying for one weekend, but it all looked very well stocked. The location where we stayed felt like all carpets were new, all room and hallways freshly painted, bathroom units brand new. The water dispensers with fresh fruit available at check in was a pleasant touch. (Personally would prefer to see paper cups offered instead of plastic.) The attendant at the main desk gave me very good advice about overnight parking, and informed me about anticipated crowds for.a city event taking place nearby the next morning.

It seemed that the Sunday morning breakfast service was understaffed. Coffee mugs, silverware, plates ran out. A couple of the hot items also ran out.

Staff was very friendly, room.extremely spacious. Nice to have a full size fridge with the kitchen area. Plenty of extra pillows and great mid town location.

Breakfast was a little chaotic. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unprepared for the amount of people. There were no regular size plates or silverware available for 20 plus minutes. You could hear the kitchen working on it though. Food ran out quickly and wasn't replenished until we were leaving. We spent about 45 minutes in the dining area getting down there around 9:30 and leaving at 10:20. That's when all the food was restocked but at that point we had to pack up our stuff and get ready to check out. In hindsight we should have thought to bring silverware and plates from our room.

From the moment we checked in, we were treated with wonderful hospitality. Exceptional service was provided to us from the security manager, Lawaune, who made it a point to share her favorite places to dine in the neighborhood. Later in the lobby, a very professionally sweet Tamara treated us to a glass of wine and welcomed us to the hotels “happy hour” with delicious snacks. The chef’s creations were amazing! Tamara even made sure we had ice to take back to our room for a drink. At the end of the evening, a most attentive front desk representative named Tracey printed out a parking pass for our next day’s destination in DC. Wow! We were blown away by the staff and the accommodations, including a most comfortable bed and nights sleep.

We had a very comfortable stay! The room was spacious and quiet, beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the bathroom was updated. I enjoyed the breakfast, especially the sweet potato bites. The cucumber water and cookies in the lobby were a nice treat! We actually used the comfortable and cozy lobby several times to visit with family and eat take out one night- nice chairs and great natural light. Very comfortable stay!

The parking was a little awkward and I didn't appreciate the extra, unexpected fee.

This location is convenient for us as it's close to our family in Claymont, De. Also, very easily accessible to many local points of interest such as Longwood Gardens, Brandywine Museum of Art, Winterthur, etc. This is our third stay, and we enjoy the friendly staff, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The breakfast buffet is an added bonus, and the staff overseeing the dining area are pleasant and friendly. Very quiet and peaceful for a downtown location.

the night staff and the breakfast staff was phenomenal!! Check out staff was no where near as helpful as the lady who checked us in. she had multiple things happening but was extremely helpful with two elderly handicapped ladies.our room on the 8th floor was beautiful - we had a suite that could of easily been a live in long term condo. everything needed for preparing meals- cooktop, full sized fridge with ice maker, toaster oven, dishes, pots/pans, real dishes and silverware - microwave, full sized coffee maker. the bathroom was modern with a step in shower which was wonderful for us both being handicapped - and the shampoo/conditioner/body wash/ moisturizer were full sized and a great fragrance. living area as well as sleeping area were spacious and very CLEAN!!! our breakfast hostess checked on us several times and offered to carry our items - overall the stay was very good!

being that my mother and I are both elderly and handicapped, being able to unload and load our luggage near the entrance was extremely challenging. the parking lot is several buildings away and the hill is quite steep . it would be very nice to be able to have a designated area near the entrance to make that process more accommodating. as much as we enjoyed the facility, that hiccup would deter us from booking any future visits unless we had help with transporting our luggage. the night clerk did mention that discussions were being held to address the need of a better check in/check out loading & unloading area.

This hotel was very clean, spacious and bright. Well located across from Chancery market which was convenient for a quick bite. The room was very comfortable, lots of hot water and having a fridge and toaster in the room was great.

There’s nothing I did not like

I had a great room with a nice view of downtown. The rims are super large and look fairly updated. The layout is excellent, and talk about Windows! There is tons of natural light and an excellent workspace for laptops.

Parking is a little expensive and is around the corner from the hotel. Getting from your car to the hotel lobby Could get interesting if the weather is bad. There was a little mold on the shower door where the water guard was, so that needs to be taken care of.

This hotel is wonderful. It’s perfectly clean and smells great. The rooms are huge and perfect for a family. The facilities are great and has everything you might possibly need in the room. They also have convenient text messaging so you can let them know of your needs instantly, and they are prompt with helping. Staff also very professional and courteous. We would definitely go back to staycation. We were just passing through but definitely loved our short stay
