I gave this motel a “10”, but not because it is opulent, lavish, trendy, updated or four-star lodging. Most of the excellent reviews on here are very accurate in regard to the good, the bad & the ugly about this aging icon, and definitely give fair assessments to the maintenance, upkeep, appearance etc. But the real actual charms of this place come from the experiencing of a throwback in time vibe, getting to live within the vintage architecture and witnessing one of the best water views in CR. If you crave and seek out existing “Old Florida” anything, you really owe it to yourself to stay here. Especially since it is still here. After all, “The King” himself deemed it cool with his stay, and that hasn’t been lost all these years.

Staff was great. On site Manatee Swim Center staff were great. Restaurant on site was great. View from the room was great. Microwave and mini fridge in room were great. TV with cable was great. Pictures are accurate and room was clean on check in.

The wifi signal was very strong, but it went out for a day during my stay. Additionally, when I made the reservation, I was informed at check in that I might have had to move rooms during the middle of my stay. I didn't have to move at the end, but I didn't like the thought of having to move rooms in the middle of my stay.

My room was cleaned well. The staff was great. Love the restaurant as it had heaters so you could sit outside comfortably. The bartender made a perfect margarita not too strong not too weak. Great atmosphere. The neighborhood is lovely. Felt comfortable walking my dog early dark in the morning.

Curtains were too short. I had to take a comforter off one bed and put under the seal so people couldn’t see in at night. Pillows are gone please replace them. Would’ve gave an excellent rating if it wasn’t for a few things like that but overall, I thought this place was pretty good maybe just a little overpriced for what it is, but I still liked it.

We loved it. Had stayed here before & enjoy its excellent location on the waterfront & the nice patio provided & just love it's laid back kitchy "Old Florida time capsule" vibe. It has old Florida history with ELVIS himself. However we were sad to see that the side & room in which he stayed had already been demolished to make way for a new Marriott on the horizon that will SADLY make the Port hotel someday a thing of the past. We will likely return again before it's gone forever.

No coffee maker in the room ☹️ Otherwise we were delighted for the min-fridge, & a very CLEAN room

The staff was excellent. The room was clean. I love the location. We took our paddleboards out on the water every morning. I love the balcony overlooking the water. I am so so sad to think this hotel will be torn down for a bigger better Marriott. I think this hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is old and needs some updating but I heard they were tearing it down and rebuilding a new marriott hotel next door.

It's a water front property, they have a restaurant and tiki bar that opens at 11am. you can rent a pontoon boat or pay for an excursion around Kings Bay for you and your family. There's lots of good eateries close to the property. They have a small selection of apples, bananas, orange juice, coffee and assorted baked breakfast bars at 7am every morning.

Weather, it's one of those things where you reserve your dates and sometimes you live with the weather. Rain

The breakfast was very basic but appreciated, considering the nightly cost and the location/view. The view was EXCEPTIONAL-like being in Shangri-La. Some guests might not like the Port because it is old and not updated but that is what we love about it-it is old Florida which is disappearing more and more as the big guy Hotels take over and everything looks the same. We will return again and again. And the fact that it is dog-friendly makes it even more wonderful! The front desk girls could not have been more friendly and hospitable!!

There could have been a healthier selection of food. HOI es in the restaurant which was also a bit pricey.

We LOVED the patio off the room facing the bay. it was an absolutely beautiful view of the sunset and the water. waking up to that view every day was well worth the cost of the room. we also really like that we could store our kayaks on the patio and use the boat ramp. They also have a little marina shop where you can get sporting good supplies! This hotel is also extremely pet friendly, the bottom floor patio allowed us to easily let the dog out. The resturaunt was really good and the room was clean. This place is a hidden gem! If you are looking for a clean, no-frills place to stay while not breaking the bank, this exceeds expectations.

The room was clean but definitely was old--particularly the shower. However, I realize that the more updates they make the more cost will go up, so I was personally fine with the older bathroom and furniture. I also think that part of the charm of this place is it's age...I hope that if they do update things they stick with the colorful 1950s motel charm because it's pretty adorable.

Location, location ! Great bar and eatery next door with friendly staff. Room refurbished post the 2024 floods. It's very much a budget rate for Crystal River - but value wise, it's about right. For a budget room to sleep the night, it was great - brand new AC, bed very comfortable, bathroom all ok.... but it's not a romantic getaway hotel....

Was welcomed by Alyssa! She was very friendly and professional. Our room was 102A. It was nice and cool inside and smelled clean and fresh. Big window in back to see the waterfront from bed. Loved the back patio overlooking the water. Very peaceful with a beautiful view. Loved watching all the boats go by and bf caught a dozen catfish off the seawall. Thanks for a great stay! Will definitely be back!
