What isn't there not to like about this gem? The rooms are beautiful, clean, beds are super comfy, feels so much like home away from home and the little snack basket was the perfect touch. I had a horrible experience at another hotel while on vacation and this place is the reason I stayed a few extra days. Owner on site is super friendly and easy to talk to. Absolutely loved all the plants around the building, the way that it was kinda hidden but also out in the open and loved the gazebo 💕

Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the AC worked great. The only challenge was some of the standard amenities (towels, cups, hangers) weren't available. But the front desk staff was great and helped us where they could.

Each room had it's own challenge on these things. Hangers, Tissues, Towels, Cups. Maybe need a checklist for what would be standard for a room. Some of our rooms had towels, some didn't. Same thing for hangers, etc.

Very cozy and unique place. Each room has its own “theme”. Seating areas outside the rooms and walking distance to the square downtown. It’s old, so don’t expect the Hilton, but it has so much character and the staff is awesome. We stay here every time we go to Ocala, which is 2-3 times a year! Not a chain hotel, so you’re supporting the average citizen and not making a millionaire richer.

Safe location and king bed is nice

Second time staying here. Liked the first room better but still love the 5x mirror just could have been lower for me as I am 5”2’ and I enjoyed the tub better than showers. Bed not as comfortable this trip as must have had recent larger person leaving it saggy and in need of a replacement so not a bad reflection on the property. Did leave a message to change rooms and never got a call back so only stayed one day this time. Office could be open mornings pre checkout

decor, convenient layout and extra appliances like microwave and fridge, large tv, big comfy bed, good amount of storage for clothes and bags, chairs to sit outside on a nice day. They also provided a nice Welcome goodie bag with chips, snack bars and large bottles of water free of charge. Convenient location to walk into historic downtown or drive to Silver Springs State Park. Staff responded immediately to a noise complaint and resolved the situation within minutes.

I really like how each room is designed differently. It gives just a little bit more than what you’re paying for. Also, the gentleman at the front desk was nice and easy to talk to.

There wasn’t really much to dislike. I’m an easy person to please, but if I really had to nitpick some things could be a little more updated. But overall, I don’t think that’s the look that they’re really going for.

Cute and super comfy bed. Rooms quite. Loved the fireplace and 5x mirror and long dressing mirror. Safe location with police across the street and if you need car looked at also across the street Firestone total auto car. Super great for couples or singles. Staff friendly

Tub could be better for bath as drain didn’t shut. Maybe better lighting and plug ins but no true complaints quaint and definitely stay again!

The best Motel we have stayed in!! Welcome snacks on arrival was a lovely touch & the rooms are so individually beautiful. Sure, they are retro but that just adds to the charm of this place. No deposit required which was a bonus & the bed was unbelievably comfy, perfect for our one night stay!

Adorable little roadside motel. Beautifully decorated rooms. Each room has a different decor theme, as the very kind employee was happy to show us! Pretty landscaping with trees, flowers and a covered pavilion. Wonderful staff. Very clean rooms, original touches remain, but modern amenities have been added. A short drive away from restaurants and shopping. Good coffee and snacks in the lobby. Despite being located on a busy highway, the rooms are very soundproof

Rooms are a bit small by modern standards. Beds were a bit soft. No doubt when the motel was built, it was on a quiet street, but now it is a busy 4 lane highway, across from the police station. Lots of cars driving fast. It is a shame, because this motel is really adorable. Be warned that pets and children under 12 are not allowed here

The owners are really what make this place shine. John was so helpful and very polite in answering all of my questions and trying his best to accommodate us. The decor isn't for everyone, but it was put together with a lot of heart. I love how walkable the location is. I've stayed in other places in Ocala that are not walkable, and it gets annoying to have to buy a Lyft for every little thing. AC worked fantastically, and the shower pressure was amazing. Wifi was fast and allowed me to do any remote work that I needed. The antique desk was cute and fine for my work. There was also a cute little black cat wandering around outside at night. A very homey, friendly vibe. One of my friends who visited me was also very happy to see a place that is explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly. He lives here and doesn't often find spaces that are friendly to him. Just make sure to tailor your expectations. You won't see big hotel style amenities here, but the price for the walkability is more than worth it. Plus, the owners will go above and beyond to take great care of you.

The mattress was too firm for me and hurt my back, but it couldn't be helped. My partner found it very comfortable. I was still able to sleep well.
