The rooms were nice and clean. We were able to request the floor we preferred to be on. We even received text messages from the property asking if we needed assistance, and they were definitely there to help when we needed. We will return when back in the area.

The Tiki bar was a nice add-on to the stay. However, a lot of the guests smoked cigarettes, and that was a complete turn-off to my husband and I, who are socialites. We would have spent more time there if it wasn't for the abundance of cigarette smoke.

We were grateful to find somewhere clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced during peak holiday travel season. Location was ideal for the Sarasota airport and car rentals. Our room was very clean and modern. We were impressed by the recent renovations. They were still doing some construction work, but they gave us a room that was far away. We were not disturbed by it. We had the impression that the friendly staff genuinely cared about the property and guest experience. They were happy to do that little something extra. If we stayed longer, we would have made use of the pool and tiki bar. Conveniently, it is on a main road, but there is some noise from the cars of course. With the fan on, we were not disturbed. I always bring earplugs when I travel, but I didn't need them.

The metal bedframes. Smart choice for design and hygiene, but I kept accidentally kicking it which made a loud echoing noise. On the plus side, this isn't somewhere that you have to worry about bedbugs. I'm sure it's much easier to keep these bedframes clean.

Our customer service rep, Fabio, is an expectional asset to Lanterns Inn. Not only was he professional in this line of work, he was more than accommodating in an error made by another rep who mistakenly gave us a room with only 1 queen bed instead of 2 queen side beds which we had reserved for 3 nights. There should be more reps like Fabio in this line of business. Thank you again, Fabio, for the compassion you showed us.

A woman on staff at the office abruptly asked my son why he was getting coffee rather than politely asking him what room he was staying in. More compassion and less negativity is warranted here.

Great location, beautiful facilities, pool, tiki bar, friendly staff that performed regular check-ins, comfortable beds, clean room, cable tv, fridge, microwave, everything was great

The only issue was that the filter on the rooms dehumidifier needed change on arrival, however this was not something brought to the staffs attention so I'm not docking them for not correcting it. All things considered a slightly musty smell wasn't near enough to ruin our stay!

This is a hit and miss hotel. It sometimes has long term tenants that make noise late into the even, or morning. The place is comfortable and priced reasonably for the area. Dont be afraid to ask for a different room if you get a bad one, they will usually accommodate you.

Big clean room and at the end where we could drive in and out of the parking lot smoothly. I come for classes so I am back and forth to the school several times a day.

There was no breakfast available at the hotel.

Tiny ants ....but I find it's not uncommon in Fl. I suggested indoor /outdoor ant spray around the threshold at the door. It's suppose to be good for 12 months

Front desk clerk was super nice. He alerted us that our second nights rate was going up and that we should check a second party (booking.com) to see if we could find a lower price, which we did. The rooms are big, and very clean. The only downside is the noise from street and planes. The hotel is right next to the airport, you can see planes take off and land right over us, kinda cool.

Location and cleanliness

There was no breakfast, so that part of the question doesn't apply. But the room was very clean and suited us fine.

Only one thing; one night there were kids making noise right outside our window while we were trying to sleep.
