We absolutely loved the location of this resort. It is right on the beach which was spectacular. The sand was like sugar, and the gulf water was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially Tanner. We booked one of the few rooms with a balcony overlooking the beach. We loved that feature. The room was comfortable and clean. The king bed was great. The furniture is a little dated, but it was still charming.

I wish Booking.com had told us that the pool not had not been repaired since the hurricanes. We were disappointed about that. The fitness room was also not available either. They also did not host the daily happy hour since the storms. The hotel staff did offer us s full refund if we wanted to go somewhere else. We stayed mostly because the beach was so gorgeous and we loved the location.

The hotel has a nice feel about it as it is not big and the 50ies design works really well. The location was perfect - right by a beautiful beach and in walking distance to a range of shops, restaurants and a dolphin watching tour company. We hardly had to use the car during our stay which was nice. It was really lovely to have a little apartment instead of just a room which you normally get with a hotel. That made us a little more independent and we didn’t feel we had to go out for each meal.

Amazing location, close to convenience stores, grocery, pharmacy, restaurants. The walk down to the beach is also very convenient, compared to some other spots I’ve stayed on the same beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful and professional. Room is simple and comfortable, clean. Fun 1950’s (?) themed decor. All sorts of great games to play outside in the common areas. Very pleasant and enjoyable overall.

The wristbands that all guests are required to wear are understandable in their function, but tiresome for my family and I to tolerate. For a brief period of time, perhaps,(think a trip to the fair, or a concert), but not for a period of days and nights at the beach. Not a huge issue, but annoying.

The location is great, and the rooms are well appointed with a good sized fridge, cooktop, and microwave. It's convenient to not have to deal with elevators when going to the pool or beach.

Plaza Beach provides parking for its guests for no additional charge. We have family members visit us during our stay. Parking for non-guests is difficult and expensive.

The receptionist was super friendly. I thought the room was a little high for one night. It ended up being 273 for a night. I was very happy that they did refund $140 for the second night because of the storm that was coming in.

The grounds were beautiful. They had multiple games available for use with no cost. Free drinks every evening and free coffee every morning. The heated pool was always clean and available for use. Overall the place was a 10 and we will definitely stay again.

Had everything you needed in a studio. Little kitchenette was well appropriated. It was very clean. Staff was friendly. Liked location of the beach. Nice area to view the sunset.

Air Conditioner was noisy. Needed ear plugs to sleep. Entry way had a slippery doormat that was dangerous. Removed it after almost slipping twice.

Excellent location right on the beach. Relaxed retro vibe. Nothing fancy but just right to enjoy the beach for a few days without going all out.

I wish the onsite bar also served food - even snacks would have been super convenient.

This tiny family run motel is in an amazing location - right on the beach. We’re not from this area and found the very small dilapidated “efficiency” room to be extremely overpriced, and I assume we just paid for location. 3 people were a tight fit. The bathroom was so tiny. The kitchenette was the smallest I think we’ve ever had, and everything is old. The pix online are misleading. That said, the staff tries hard to provide good service. They have many small games onsite that somehow qualify this as a “resort”. If you have young children I think you’d really enjoy this place - up to about 12-13. It was less engaging to adults and a teen.

For people unfamiliar with the area, St Pete’s is an incredibly busy tourist area, zero quiet, every restaurant long lines, loads of traffic. Drunk people. Just unpleasant. We’re on the east coast of FL now, near Jupiter and Juno and it’s much nicer.

The staff is outstanding. They were very nice, very responsive, and actively engaged in making our stay enjoyable. They also helped us navigate the decision on when to leave due to Hurricane Ian. They kept us informed and made sure we knew they would support and reimburse us whenever we decided to leave. We felt like we were welcomed guests that had been coming there for years and they treated us like friends or family members. The location is outstanding too and you can walk right out onto the beach. The beach right outside the hotel is very nice and private. The room was functional and had nice amenities like a full-sized refrigerator. There is a Publix grocery store across the street and a nice CVS Pharmacy with regular drug store items and lots of beach stuff.

The property has been part of St Pete Beach for a long time so it is a little dated. However, they keep it very clean and everything is maintained well. We felt like it was a good trade-off to save a little money and have such a great location even if it wasn't the most modern-looking hotel. They even lean into it being old by having a "50's" kind of theme with a front desk that is a 57 Chevy Grill. The AC wasn't super cold but it kept things cool enough to be comfortable. The internet for us was not great but that could have been our phones too.
