This is the 2nd time we've stayed at the Dockside Inn. The location is unbeatable, and the hotel is quaint. The rooms are large and have a beautiful view of the Darien River. The check in was easy both times, and we appreciate access to the 24/7 coffee and water.

The water backs up a little in the basin while taking a shower, however, this seems common with coastal properties. This building is very old and its tabby-style construction is hard to find, so I'm willing to forgo perfect plumbing in order to experience historical ambiance.

The location is perfect, right in the middle of Darien in walking distance to everything. The lobby is great with all ice machine, coffee 24 hours, water bottle station to refill water bottles, a full kitchen with microwave. Everything is keyless entry which was also great.

We had a bit of trouble figuring out the remote for the AC, and the mattress was softer than we’re used to. But definitely a great place and will definitely be back!!

The room was great and the place was quiet. I wasn't disturbed at all and it was the peaceful trip I needed. I felt safe being there alone. *Bonus- they provided great toilet paper in the bathroom, not the John Wayne rough toilet paper you usually get in a hotel. That's important to me! I'll definitely stay there again!!

Everything was great but I have a suggestion..... put a small lamp on the desk. I used the desk a lot for writing while I was there.

Location. Set-up (self check-in, etc.). Coffee bar was good. Did I mention, location. Rooms are very spacious.

Minor stuff: Bed closer to the porch (room #2) has a mattress issue. It is clean, but has a depression that makes it uneven. Is better when lying down on it. Porch fans need new outdoor-rated blades. Currently, they look "wilted". Mini-fridge appears old. Probably works ok but just looks tired. Needed to use the AC but was not working.

This is such a beautiful inn. Everything is convenient and the place is just beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck overlooking the river and visiting with other guests.

Other guests smoking and the smoke wafting to our area. You are right next door to one another. No fault of the innkeepers. Guests should be courteous and walk away from other guests.

Excellent location. Convenient to restaurants and bars. In a small quiet coastal town where you can walk to everything.

The room we were in could only be accessed by walking around the building. Not convenient in the rain or at night.

Location! Allowed us to travel into Savannah as well as explore Jekyll and St Simon Islands. Breakfast at local coffee shop was a plus, with free options to Dockside guests.

Noise from other guests and the neighborhood rooster too! Maybe use white noise machines? The are is being developed and the Dockside is next to a gutted building - maybe some description of what is nearby and what the future plans are for the neighborhood? I can imagine within 5 years it will be a hip little spot!

The location was good. I am not a coffee drinker but we found a Waffle House nearby. I enjoyed the views of the water and historic places.

A dirty wash cloth was on the bathroom floor when we initially entered.

Was a seamless process to get codes and checkin and out. Owners answered text messages in no time at all. All around great experience.

Showerhead was a little wonky.
