The location is great! A few blocks walk to Waikiki beach and all the shopping and restaurants. Turn left and on the very first street when you come out of the hotel and there’s some food trucks lined up at night if you’re not on the mood to walk to the strip for food. Past that street is an ABC store that’s really convenient when you realize you bought too much stuff and need some extra bags and more souvenirs! Our room overlooks the mountain ( thanks for the upgrade Booking.com! ) it’s clean, the queen beds plus the pull out was comfortable and it’s spacious enough for 5 women. 5 suitcases opened at the same time and there’s still plenty of room! Each of us found our own corner to get ready without bumping into each other . The most important and special thing about this hotel is the customer service. The staff are all genuinely friendly, kind and eager to help. We felt the good vibe coming off of them as soon as we stepped out of our car! Speaking of car, Valet service is on point!! We never had to wait too long to get our car when we need it, thank you Maynard! Check in was a breeze ( thank you Joy!) with some freebies: two water bottles in a reusable bag that we appreciate once we’re out and about, the thoughtful detail of the hotel anticipating the guests’ comfort is an A+ for me. Lastly, a BIG shout out and Thank You to Duncan and his brother from the Tita’s of Manila ( that’s what they called us after a few days staying there! lol ) , they made our stay a joy!! They’re both very friendly and helpful we felt spoiled specially by Duncan who went out of his way ( after helping us with our bags ) to come back and surprise us with bubblies after he learned that we were in our “girl’s trip”!! Hyatt together with its excellent staff made our trip special and memorable!!

No complaints. It’s all good vibes!!

Loved the location. It was close to the beach and the beach walk so we could easily walk back and forth as needed for our family. The staff were exceptional and so friendly. The beach chairs and boogie boards we borrowed from them saved so much money and were great for the kids to keep busy while my husband and I enjoyed relaxing. The restaurant was good as well, and we enjoyed the food trucks that were right outside in the alley. The breakfast had a large selection and was very delicious

The sliding door for the patio didn't line up with the latch, but thankfully, they had another way to close it. Normally, it wouldn't be a problem, but with a toddler, we had to be extra cautious of the door. It was very difficult for me to close so it wasn't used much. The air-conditioning didn't work either so the room was very hot and muggy. That was our only real concern.

Free breakfast included porridge or cereal plus a hot cooked meal and toast or bagels. The king bed was really comfortable and the pillows were great. We had a seafront view in and around other beachfront hotels (the hotel is a few buildings back from the beach). There’s a microwave for guest use in the Lobby and tables and seating to use there without needing to go to your rooms. The ABC stores are conveniently on nearly every corner. Dominoes Pizzas are attached to the hotel. There’s also the “Placery” which sells light meals, but is more pricey.

There was no evening dining restaurant, although plenty in nearby streets. The swimming pool was shut down- even though it was advertised as shut under renovations until end of May, by the end of July it was still closed, which was false advertising. We were offered another a pool a block away as consolation, but it was very small and unappealing. So no relaxing by the pool on loungers like we were really looking forward to!

Rooms were large and beds were comfy. Valets were honest and told me that I can park at a nearby multistorey carpark for USD30 a night. You can actually park for free at the beach car park if you park after 8pm and drive off by 9 am.

Great location, kind staff, clean and beautiful rooms! We really enjoyed our stay and most things about the hotel!

Most things were awesome, but there are a few areas that could use improvement. The biggest downfall at this hotel was the breakfast. We paid extra to include breakfast every morning, and it was a huge let down. Rubbery sausages, stale coffee, cold eggs and all around just very disappointing. The bathroom sink and bathroom area was quite small, and the counter space to get ready was limited. The lighting also wasn’t great in the bathroom area, making it a bit hard to get ready at night.

Our family stayed in a room with a beautiful mountain view, and it was amazing. The room was spotless and spacious, with a comfortable couch in addition to the two beds. Breakfast exceeded our expectations — we enjoyed fresh fruit, miso soup, coffee, sandwiches, vegetables, scrambled eggs, and sausages. Everything was delicious. The hotel staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. It was so convenient to pick up beach towels, chairs, and a bodyboard for my son at the front desk before heading to the beach. The location is perfect, too — just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, the zoo, aquarium, circus, and more. Overall, Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is a wonderful place to stay. We’d definitely recommend it!

The hotel was beautiful with a close proximity to all the beaches in Waikiki. The staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast was great, it was busy, but my family of 5 was able to find a table to eat at all week with no issues. Housekeeping kept us stocked with clean towels daily. The lobby lent out boogie boards and chairs. We all had a great time. Would highly recommend. Previous reviews stated the elevators were slow, but we didn’t have issues. We did opt for the stairs more often just because we were on the 2nd floor. Also they offered lei making! So cool! Thank you to the friendly staff!

The laundry room was a little pain. Only 3 washers and the 3 dryers were out of order by the time we left. I was able to use 1 of the dryers even though it said out of order but only after I paid money on 2 others that ended up blowing cold air.

We have stayed here on several previous visits to Honolulu and will stay again. It is next to Kuhio st where most of city buses travel to get to and from airport and down to the harbour for excursions. It is walking distance to Waikiki beach and they give you free towels and beach chairs for days at the beach. The deluxe rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable and what I recommend with either ocean or mountain views.

The pool is being renovated, so but noisy during day on our balcony, but obviously this is only short term. Our room was looking over street where city buses travel, and a bit noisy at night, so we shut the door and used air conditioning.

Great location, short walk to beach, shops and food. Bus stops right outside hotel. Friendly staff. Reception staff were very helpful. It was great having access to clean, fresh pool / beach towels when we wanted them. Clean, modern spacious rooms. We stayed in a mountain view 2 Queen bed suite with sofa bed with our family of five and found it roomy enough. Our 15 year old son found the sofa bed comfy and big enough - probably an equivalent of a double bed.

The breakfast not the greatest unless you are just after toast / bagels, however it may be because it is very different to the buffet breakfasts you get in New Zealand. Also if it was raining it may be a struggle to find seating as most of it is outside without cover. Air conditioning in rooms was quite loud at times, but didn't keep the kids awake.
