Location . Staff quickly responsive if there was an issue, eg window blind broke.

After paying almost$50 US resort, it was nickel and dime action to be asked $2 per bag for storage on checkout before departure time . Not enough information about what was available, eg beach chairs and towels 🤔 There were lots of dogs in the hotel but no indication that certain rooms were kept pet free , or pet friendly . First hotel in many years where there was no in room coffee maker.

The location was perfect. It was across the street from the Honolulu Zoo. The restaurant was excellent with the best views where you had a full and close view of Diamond head mountain with good food. There were free activities and I made a beautiful lei.

Some of the stores on the property were vacant so I felt like I was missing out on something. This property didn't seemed rather mature for children but there were a few there.

I liked that Queen Kapiolani was so close (around 3 minute walk) to the beach and shops and restaurants. I loved the lobby.. it was just so Hawaiian. I also liked where the pool was situated. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We were given canned drinks and shelled lays. Plus a box of Honolulu Cookie Company cookies since it was my birthday. That was very thoughtful of them.

They didn’t have a coffee maker in the bedroom like other hotels do. We needed to ask for one. Also no toothpaste in the bathroom. Just wondering why hotels in the US don’t include toothpastes in their bathrooms anymore. It makes no sense as it is a necessity and sometimes travellers don’t bring bathroom essentials with them assuming that hotels will provide.

Fantastic location, on edge of main tourist area. Great views of diamond head and ocean. Easy access to beach, shops, restaurants. ~15-20 minutes walk to Safeway, snorkel bobs, Leonards bakery and Rainbow drive-in.

The one time we tried using the valet service ($50 a night) it was full. Was directed to the zoo parking lot across the street, worked out as it was cheaper, but can be difficult to find a parking spot in peak times. Most parking options in the area are either expensive or inconveniet, valet staff were very apologetic, not a big deal, but something to be aware of.

Fantastic location. We chose a Queen bed room with the view of Diamond Head and it did not disappoint. We woke up every day and could see the sun coming up over Diamond Head from the bed. The pool deck was excellent. Loved the turf, comfortable chairs and honestly never so busy that you couldn’t enjoy it, the pool was clean and refreshing. The morning yoga class offered by the hotel was also fantastic!

Would be nice to have the option of coffee in the bedroom. At least for that first sunrise cup. Totally understand they want people to visit The Knot each day for coffee but still, coffee is a room amenity in most hotels.

We loved the location. It was close to the beach and the beautiful park and zoo. Loved the view of Diamond Head from the pool. Really enjoyed the pool. A little cool at times but we got used to it. The hotel was so soundproof. Slept so well in the comfy bed and quiet room. We were very impressed with housekeepers, especially Rebecca. She was kind and very accommodating. Our room looked so beautiful after she looked after us. I particularly enjoyed the yoga classes. The instructors were amazing and what a beautiful way to start the day. We would definitely stay at your hotel next year and have already told our friends how nice the Queen Kapiolani is. Thank you.

The only thing I missed in our room was not having a coffee maker. We have always had one in other hotels but when I asked I was told only junior suites and penthouse. We had to go out to get coffee every morning when it would be nice to have one in our room as soon as we wake up.

The gym was the best I’ve seen in a hotel. The location is right next to the beach and easy to all food options, surf and shops. The pool lounges were really nice and comfortable.

The room on the website is really small and not the same in the picture. I had to pay more to upgrade. The room I was upgraded to was excellent. It’s an older building so expect that. Also the tv and movie options were an additional payment which was disappointing. Other hotels offered dvds for free - something like that would have been nice. No beach towels - where other hotels have this. Parking was limited and expensive - $60 for valet… if they have room. We had to park across the road at the zoo which turned out to be $30 / 19 hrs which is affordable and cheap in Waikīkī - BUT you have to stay on it and monitor it and you can’t come and go as freely as you would like with valet.

When I booked a room with 2 queen beds we were shown what turned out to be their suite. We received a small room with 2 queens, but later upgraded to the larger suite which was satisfactory. They should show the correct room photos for each size room rented.

Espresso coffee maker was difficult to operate. Would suggest a regular coffee pot. Only the suites had a coffee maker which is standard in most US rooms of any size. Should have one in every room.

This is a great hotel. It's not a small place, but feels much more cosy than some of the large chain hotels in Waikiki. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and I loved the decor and the overall friendly vibe of the place. I was lucky to be given an upgrade to a larger room than the one I'd booked, on a corner with lots of windows, a sitting area, a small balcony and a view of the Diamond Head crater. The views from "The Deck" restaurant were great too. Breakfasts there weren't cheap, but nothing in Waikiki is and the food was excellent.

My only two minor criticisms are that the bath was tiny and that the air-conditioning installation outside of my window was quite loud.

Location is perfect for the beach, Diamond Head,, the Zoo, Honolulu finish and Getting in and out of Honolulu with our rental car without needing to drive downtown. The Deck restaurant is a great place to eat, meet with friends. I really enjoyed the open air lobby, it was very comfortable and I spent time there with friends having coffee or just enjoying the evening breeze. The staff in this hotel from the front desk, concierge, garage and hotel housekeeping are most professional and helpful staff. I have worked with during any stay in Hawaii. The hotel offers free beach chairs, and the towels are in the downstairs where you can pick them up without having to ask. I use valet service for my vehicle. The guys were very fast and helpful. Unlike some of the hotels in Honolulu they have bell service, which was great

I paid for a room with a view of diamond head, which I received. It was great except I was on the fourth floor, and this was level with the atrium ceiling and the deck and the pool were in front of the window. I would’ve preferred a room that was several floors up because I like to sit on the lanai without having to look at people or having them look at me. The hotel provides a hot water kettle, which I’m assuming is for tea. I asked if they had coffee makers available and they said no. They do have a small refrigerator but no microwave.
