This property is located in a pretty isolated part of the island - near the southern tip of the island and the furthest southern point of the United States. We have stayed here twice in the last few years. The property is very clean, modern and well maintained and we enjoyed using the outdoor pool, hot tub. It is only a half mile of the famous Black Sand Beach and its many sea turtles and only a 30 minute drive to the visitor center at Volcanoes National Park. As an amateur astronomer I especially appreciated the dark skies and viewing celestial wonders that can't be seen from my home in Michigan.

The property is rather isolated. Some folks will miss ammenities like restaurants and night life right outside their door but if you are more into nature (like my family is) this might be a great fit.

The location is between Hilo & Kona. Hawaii Belt Road is a beautiful Drive from either location. Upon arrival I was so impressed with the ocean and mountain views. The condo sit on a old golf course and you can walk the fairway and I found little trail to the beach below the unit. Wow. Perfect get away. Wonderful Pool and Lava Rock Jacuzzi Wow. There is a little bakery with some food service and great sweet treats about 8 miles away, but its suggest to bring in food. I had plenty and so enjoy this location.

The only thing I didn't like was I had to leave and come back to Oahu. Big Island is calm, spread out and was like going back in time. You must do your own house keeping, but it was pleasure to keep it neat. Loved the condo. It had everything I need. I cooked several good meals. Nice dishes and pots and pans. Even baking stuff...

This is a beautifully located resort with charming cottages, lush greenery, palm trees, a pool, and a jacuzzi for guests. The entire property is immaculately maintained and simply stunning. The apartment has everything you could possibly need – well, maybe except for a kettle ;) It was the perfect base for exploring the entire island. We especially loved how close it was to the Black Sand Beach and Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park. The nearby town has a warm, welcoming vibe and some amazing spots to enjoy delicious local food.

Property has a "corprate" feel and everything was as minimimal as possible in a disappointing way (for example beach equipment was not provided but had to rented from office and the size of unit would not be comfortable for a multi-day stay). If air conditiioning is important, arrange for it an advance. A/C unit is locked and unusable without a nonrefunable $10 per night payment. (There are fans in the unit and screens in windows so that was not an issue for us). If you plan on cooking, the only condiments provided were salt and pepper and there are no near by stores or restaurants so come prepared.

The site was lovely. Our studio condo was adorable and was a good amount of space. Kitchen has enough room and laundry was in bathroom. Relatively close to volcano and we walked easily to the black sand beach. Lovely grounds, friendly staff. Easy after hours check in, if slightly inconvenient.

Condos are not near anything. There isn't a true grocery store for miles and by the time we got there from a delayed plane there was nothing open. Restaurants are also few and far between. We found one that was open on a Monday or Tuesday and while excellent was also the only choice open and ended up there twice in the 3 days we were there. While the facilities were nice we felt the extra charges like for air conditioning and shampoo were excessive and made it feel less relaxing. There is a small window to check in (4-5) and while the after hours worked well, not knowing that made us forgo going to the grocery in Kona. Don't make that same mistake since you will not find anything else nearby. Bare minimum was found in the kitchen. Enough for us, but it's always nice to have little extras.

I cannot say enough about this resort and how amazing it is. Photos do not show how incredible it actually is. Our cottage #10 was so amazing. The view, so gorgeous. Pool and jacuzzi also amazing. So quiet. And at night, so many stars. Also it is close to the magical Magic Sand beach where you can see a lot of turtles. Staff in the resort is super friendly. We only stayed one night there because we were on a road trip, and we regret we couldn't stay longer. I highly recommend this resort and I can only hope we will come back again.

Not a minus nor it is a big deal, but I would rather have liquid shower gel and shampoo instead of a soap bar.

Such a gem of a place. It is very remote though so you do have to plan where to get groceries and gas but clean remarkable little units. Staff are very friendly and helpful and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again. Although remote, you are right next to black sand beach and close drive to south point, green sand, and volcano national park. The staff alerted us to best viewing of volcanoes if they were active and they were while we were there

We liked everything about this stay. The location is excellent - at the most southern point of the Big Hawaii island (US intrinsically), close to the black sand beach, green sand beack and within reasonable driving distance from the National Volcano Park (for a longer stay). The accommodation is excellent - the room is actually two leveled, with direct access to patio via a double glass door. There is a kitchenette including all necessary appliances (highlights dishwasher, very big fridge etc), a bathroom with washer/drier. In general all the fine details needed for a stay. Extremely clean. Comfy beds. Easy access to the pool and hot tub. Easy walking access to the black sand beach. Very nice and helpful reception desk - thank you, Roshelle :)

What is not to like? We loved everything.

The grounds were very nice. The room was very comfortable and the bed was great. The location was excellent, being close to Black Sands Beach and Volcano N.P.

Images on Booking.com suggested that we were closer to the ocean than we were. Also, the greenery around the unit had had been cut reducing privacy. Also, our unit was next to the main road. It was pretty loud.

This place was so nice. It was perfect for what we needed. It is a little out of the way, but if you have a vehicle no big deal. The accommodation called ahead and offered us an ocean view room which was very nice and unexpected treat. It was a very quiet resort with all the things we needed.
