Yes, this is an older property, but it appears investments and improvements are being done on an ongoing basis. The room was clean and comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was FANTASTIC! And the water was not hard as it is in so many hotels at all price points. I did, though, miss the vanity having a stopper so as to allow one to fill the sink for washing, shaving, etc. The room also featured a large flat screen television (50+ inch diagonal). Please remember this is a basic hotel; if you want extra frou-frou find a hotel that offers that. If, on the other hand, all you want and need is a great place to stay for rest at an affordable price this is a great choice near the corn and soybean fields of rural Illinois.

Wi-fi was marginal and the in room phone was not operational; a situation hotel staff responded to by noting repairs were lined up for the following week.

It was clean, the owner/operator/staff were very pleasant and helpful. The beds were comfortable. Its ratings and price is what attracted us. We concur with the high ratings for cleanliness and price.

This is an old worn out motel that shows a lot of use and bare minimum repairs and upkeep. The motel needs a lot of quality work and appealing upgrades. There is a sense there is little funding available in the near term to make this happen. For us, the motel is aesthetically unappealing. Hopefully investment, saving up resources and good management can put back the shine on this place. Then again, that may never happen.

I was concerned at first from the previous reviews. However, it was fine. The King bed was comfortable, new carpet, new microwave, new refrigerator, an updated bathroom, the room was large with a sofa and two nice side chairs, and new electonic doors. There was no issue with noise or others. The owner has listed many rules, and all other guests seemed to follow them, making it a good hotel experience.

The lobby /registration was a bit off-putting, but the owner was nice.

We did not eat breakfast at the Lodge, there is a restaurant just across the parking lot.

It is an older style hotel, let's call it Vintage. Needs more outlets in the room and the towels were too small.

The staff is very friendly. The location was great. The fridge is large. Plenty of seating. The shower worked well.

The exhaust fan was loud. Could use more overhead lighting.

When I first saw pictures I was a little nervous, but it was a very nice place and the price was great.. we will definitely come back to stay.

My family and I have been coming up to Kewanee from the st.Louis area since I was born yearly. For the longest time I can only remember this motel & each time we were very happy with our stays. Now I make the trip alone. I have to say it’s still just as wonderful. Thank you 😊

I suffer from sleep apnea and have to use a CPAP machine at night. My stay here with absolutely wonderful. I have not slept that sound in that comfortably for over a year.

There were no amenities. There’s no breakfast, pool, vending machines for exercise equipment.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Room was cleaned daily and fresh linens provided. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very accommodating for our older dog who has hip displaysia and moved our rooms to lower floor
