This hotel was really cute. Loved the rustic look of everything. Our room was very clean and looked well kept. We had the junior suite with a fireplace. Fireplace worked good. The only complaint I would have was the bed wasn't for me. Everyone has their own bed firmness preferences though! There was a microwave, mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, tv, hair dryer, iron, drawers for keeping your items if you are an unpacker. It has a pool that a ton of people were using but we didn't get a chance to get in. Breakfast was included in ours as well and was pretty good. Had hot and cold items The hotel also had a bar inside. We really loved the seafood restaurant Jonah's next door. A bit pricey but it was in walking distance right next door and there is a market attached to get sandwiches or baked goods. We were able to sit outside and it was a beautiful day, right in front of the water as well. Amazing food. We also were there for a concert at the Peoria Civic Center and we easily got an Uber to take us there and back. It was only a 10 or so minute drive. I would definitely recommend or come back myself!

This was my second stay at Stoney Creek. It's close to restaurants and stores. Has small bar that allows me not to leave property. Weight room has the basics. Didn't use the pool but the people using it seemed to enjoy their time. Breakfast bar is OK and I like their coffee. Plenty of parking area..

Walked into room and it smelled a little musty. Tha AC wasn't pushing out cold air even though it was set to 70. So I put the AC to 65 and turned bathroom fan on to draw out musty air smell. Then my OCD kicked in so I popped over to the Dollar Tree store and got some carpet and air freshener. By the time I returned the room was cooler. So sprayed air freshener and put down some carpet fresh which took care of the issue during my stay. Room was next to a ground floor access of the building where smokers did their thing and chatted. Unfortunately, I'm a light sleeper and could hear them. .

Breakfast was very good. The location is excellent, right along the river, with easy access to Peoria. Staff gave great recommendations for restaurants. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated in a maritime motif. Whimsical, not institutional or generic. My partner and I both noticed that the place smelled very pleasant. We wondered what sort of cleaning products they used, because there was no chemical smell, just a nice, subtle "Ooh, this place smells nice" aura. NOTE: In checking that Stoney Creek did not meet my expectations, that was solely due to the two lack of signage issues I mention in the next section. Otherwise, things were great. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

There is too little explanatory signage. Case in point - virtually all hotels use arrows and numbers to indicate which room numbers are down each of the hallways. Stoney Creek doesn't do that and it is an annoying inconvenience. According to certain staff, that is a frequent complaint. Also, in the food pantry/commissary area, no prices are posted. Upon asking prices, the desk clerk had to get into their system to look up the prices. These two issues are very easy issues that I believe need to be rectified ASAP. However, it would not prevent me from returning. In fact I stayed here before and didn't notice either problem, due to the location of my room and that I didn't purchase any items during my previous stay. Barring these issues, I would rate my stay as 10/10 instead of 8/10.

We rented the family suite which had a king size bed. Bunk bed with a full and twin, and a sofa pullout. The room was very roomy, and fit our family of 6 perfect. We were located right by the entrance which was nice for our small kids. The shower was hot and had a nice flow, and the complimentary soap was very nice to have in the shower. We really enjoyed our stay, and even stayed another night in the same room because we enjoyed the hotel that much! The hot tub was NOT working, which was a little sad, I was looking forward to that the most. The pool was warm and you could even swim outside if you'd like. My kids enjoyed the pool very much. The breakfast was good, however on Sunday there was limited fruit options and there was no cereal offerings, but they had breads, bagels, and biscuits and gravy, and a pancake maker. Not a big assortment but it did the job. On Monday breakfast was a lot better serving eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, bagels, and pancakes. I give it an 8 out of 10 only because the beds were a little less on the cheaper side and the hot tub was not working, but everything else was nice. The room was warm, we had plenty of space, and the overall experience was good. The hotel is HUGE!

The hot tube was out of service, and the king size bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked.

This is a very nice hotel, clean, lots of amenities!! Decor is awesome!! Price is very very reasonable for what all the hotel provides.

Again the breakfast was my only complaint☹️ There was biscuit and gravy, pancake making machine and bagels! I say biscuit because when we got down to breakfast at 8:30 there were two biscuits I got one and my husband got one, nothing else!! No breakfast meats, potatoes were empty, no milk and cereals! There was a line of at least 10 waiting on biscuits and all the guy did that was working the breakfast area was to keep opening lids on empty warmers!!! Nothing was refilled while we were waiting for more breakfast, when I checked out the breakfast guy was back behind check in counter saying" I can't wait for breakfast to get over" Disappointed in breakfast or lack of it especially on a Sunday morning

Everything only a minor complaint.

Room for improvement: When rooms are cleaned and set up for guests, teach the staff to turn the thermostat down so the room is cool. If the guest gets to the room and want it warmer they can adjust the thermostat themselves. When we got to our room yesterday, it was so hot that we never got it to cool down. We turned the heat down as low as we could get it but stayed quite warm. We finally turned the air conditioner on about 3am because we couldn't sleep and by 330ish we were finally able to fall asleep and stay asleep. Not a bad experience, but one that could be used as a learning experience for staff.

I stayed here several years ago, but I am a little disappointed how it looked on this trip. Hotel hallways we're never vacuumed the entire time food and wrappers laying on steps and carpet our room was clean and bed was comfortable, we did find a bed sheet stuff behind a chair in our room, Food was excellent, little disappointed that the Hot tub and Sauna were OOS the pool temperature was warm, u could swim from the inside to the outside. Overall, it's a nice place just needs more attention to being cleaned better.

This place is uniquely designed but very clean. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It is located near the interstate and casino. Morning breakfast they offer was excellent with plenty of belly filling variety of food. There was no need to go to a restaurant for breakfast.

You have to check rates before booking. Prices are astronomically high during different times of the year. I was unable to return to this establishment in January of 2025 because of the prices.

Breakfast was awesome. Staff was very responsive. My kids enjoyed the pool, esp that you could swim under a wall to outside. Unfortunately the spa was out for repairs. That would have been nice. One night, my youngest son had an allergic reaction. I had no Benadryl and was traveling alone with two kids under 7. I went to the lobby area where they had some snacks and basic toiletries for sale. Unfortunately no meds like Benadryl, claritin, or even tylenol. I talked to the front desk attendant who was wonderful. She understood the urgency and concern and gave me a Claritin from her own supply. I was able to give it to my son and saved a trip at 4 am to the urgent care or pharmacy. She was so awesome for doing this for us.

Older accommodations. Could use some updating like of beds, sheets (had a torn one that the staff exchanged, but everything seemed worn out.

The gentleman, Charlie, Who greeted us was personable and as I sat in the lobby, relaxing, listening to him greet other guests was enjoying his job. Great customer service. Breakfast was fine. It’s the standard breakfast that you get. Everything was hot. Appreciated that you had a fruit choices and that you had both bacon and sausage to go with the eggs.

I cannot think of anything that I didn’t like.
