Kitchen and bathrooms are somewhat dated but clean and functional. Area is very quiet and safe. Parking is free.

This is a very comfortable place to stay in the middle of a naval support site with former and some currently active military buildings around. I believe that it was previously a navy lodge. The room was large and comfortable. Internet connection worked quite well. Very calm and relaxing area that is just a couple of minutes walk away from the Mississippi river. Very enjoyable stay.

The room was not really clean but it wasn't dirty to the degree that I was disturbed. There was 24 hour reception at the entrance to the building but there wasn't a receptionist always available or visible during late night hours. Anybody can just walk into the building and immediately access the corridors with the rooms without anyone seeing you, which felt slightly unsafe. The safety could be improved by some access mechanism (lock, pin pad etc.) for the main entrance during late hours.

Was staying there for the second time and loved it! Quiet, safe location, always clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful! My pups liked it too, plenty of places to walk them and actually close to a river walk. The downtown and the French Quarter are 15-20 min drive away from the hotel, everything is super accessible. Will definitely stay there again next time we visit NOLA!

I enjoyed everything about my stay at Federal City Inn but especially the courtesy and professionalism at the front desk. She said her name was Brandy, she was extremely helpful. She gave me immediate assistance when I had technical difficulties while watching TV. Then checked on me to make sure I was ok. These are the "big," little things that makes all the difference. Because of the way I was treated I give Federal City Inn high recommendations.

Although the room was extremely clean, it smelled of urine when the AC clicked off. This was brought to the attention of the housekeeper and she assisted us with offering a solution and it worked

large room, just like their picture, I’m only one person, the reception gave me a little pricer queen bed instead of my double queen beds booking, the room was clean, well maintained furniture, comfy beds, functional kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge, pot, pan, and tableware. The staffs were friendly and helpful. There is laundry and vending machine. Out of town but surrounded by huge green areas, very nice. There is a public pool across the street featured on TV news, a fair on Saturday, don’t know if every Saturday, food from different regions. Bus to fairy, Walmart, Dollar Tree, a little challenging cause only every 30 mins but almost fit the schedule. The price is less expensive than the hotels in town, more nature, more comfortable stay.

not much close by but plan a trip for shopping can store what’s needed

The location is perfect, Algiers Point is away from the noise of the town but close enough to hop on the ferry to get to all the attractions (plus the kids loved riding the ferry every day). Beds were comfy, and we felt safe. Well priced.

It was a bit dirty. The kitchen was not stocked with anything. the floors were sticky, and it had a damp smell. Aircon was also very noisy.

I like the location of the room. It was not in the heart of the city and in a quiet area near a navy base so it was a pretty safe place. I am told it can get dangerous in other areas. I love that the room had a stove and appliances. The room was clean and simple. Not a luxury room but comfortable and very easy to relax.

I didn't like that there was not much easy transportation to the heart of the city. To go across the bridge the ubers were costly. However, if you plan the bus schedule it would be less cost. if you have a rental then you will be in perfect shape.

I liked that the hotel was exactly as described. It is a budget hotel that has what is necessary for a comfortable stay. Comfortable beds, a complete bathroom, a mini kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave, sink, etc. Its location is also relatively convenient because it is close to the ferry station and it is 10 minutes by car from all the important locations to visit. The hotel is in a quiet area, and I felt safe.

Improve cleanliness. The air conditioning vent was extremely dirty with insects, dust, tree leaves, which means that every time the air was ventilated we breathed all that. In addition, the drains in the bathroom and sink were full of dirt, almost clogged, and when I brushed my teeth, seeing that was very disgusting. There was also a lot of dust on the head of the bed and the lamps.

Friendly helpful staff. First day our t.v. was goofed up, 2 different front desk ladies came to room and worked on it until they got it straightened out. Housekeeping was great, friendly, helpful. Laundry area very convenient.

Both snack and pop machines were being phased out.
