The hotel exceeded our expectations! It was clean, quiet and comfortable! Trenelle (sp?) at the desk was fantastic. She was very kind, welcoming and helpful. The room was stocked with everything we could need. The bed was extremely comfortable and all of the bed linens were clean and ironed!

The hide-away bed our children slept on had quite a few broken springs. However, they said they still slept great.

The hotel is in a great location, it is very pretty and comfortable, and the staff is great, with the exception of the manager. She is horrible.

Booking.com said that they would give me a refund because we stayed in a 1-bedroom suite for 3 nights for which we had paid for a 2-bedroom suite. They tried to contact the manager, I tried to contact her, and she didn't have the decency to return my phone calls or the emails that Booking.com sent her. So I'm out as much as $600.

My daughter brought me for my 50th birthday and this hotel was perfect.The room was the perfect size for me and her with the little kitchenette and to have an actual bedroom and a sleeper sofa made it so roomy and comfortable,and the price very good.Ms.Susan the host at the front desk was so sweet absolutely amazing she went above and beyond to make this the best stay I have ever had at a hotel.She recommended and helped book the ghost tours and swamp tours for us and gave us great recommendations to restaurants just well beyond her job.I would like to thank her for that.The hotel was the perfect location just a corner walk to Frenchmen Street.I will absolutely be back and I would recommend 10 out of 10 to my friends and family.Thank you Ms Susan and Hotel de la Monnaie.

Located at the eastern corner of the French Quarter, the hotel is a short walk from anywhere in the Big Easy. It is well laid out, and our suite on the 2nd floor faces an inner courtyard. The rear opened out onto a terrace overlooking Esplanade Avenue and the junction with N. St. Peters Street. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly with regard to local geography and attractions. Access and egress is easy at anytime.

The nearby train line is noisy in the morning, but otherwise, it was surprisingly quiet for a city centre apartment. There was a problem with the lifts/elevators when we were there, but I assume this was merely temporary. Finally, my ubiquitous gripe about too many American hotels is the lack of a cheap and simple jug kettle for us citizens of the tea-drinking nations :-)

I enjoyed the location being walking distance from everything and the staff. One particular young lady who worked swing was very nice, cordial and informative regarding food, sight seeing and all the other questions I had. She made my stay excellent! I can't remember her name, but she has curly red shoulder length hair, beautiful smile and always always appeared happy when passing through the office.

Within walking distance of the French Quarter, Burbon Street and riverside as well as down town Canal Street and Poydras Street for anyone with reasonable mobility. Had a small pool for splashing about in and minimal gym facilities. Had some authenticity about it but in need of a little TLC. A very pleasant stay.

Limited parking - we were lucky. Only 2 dining chairs for a table for 4. No draining facility for washed up items. Although exceeding expectations - more than one bedroom and having a power jet bath - the state of non working surfaces was somewhat dusty.

It was exceptionally clean which always make a huge difference to your stay. It was lovely to have a kitchenette and living room/dining area. Onsite parking was a huge bonus being in the centre and the location was 10/10. They decorated the lobby for Mardi Gras and had loads of helpful leaflets for things to do in the area. We also loved that they had a computer as we are travelling and needed access to some documents. It had heating which was needed and worked quickly to heat up the place. The bed was comfy and good storage space.

The WiFi didn’t work for us and the hot water was a bit temperamental. Also, a tin opener would have been useful for us and maybe some coffee to use the coffee machine. None of this majorly affected our stay and we still loved it and couldn’t recommend it enough!

We loved everything about this charming hotel! The location is perfect! We were able to walk to everything in the French quarter and Frenchmen Street. We felt very safe the entire time. Both front desk people we met were extremely nice and check in/out was quick and painless. The free parking garage is small but we had no trouble getting a spot. It was great to leave our car somewhere so secure the whole time! And for free!! We had suites 405 and 408. They were both impeccably clean, well decorated and the a/c worked great. They both seemed to have been recently updated with new flooring and paint. 408 is a 2 bedroom suite and has lots of windows with really good views. Both suites were very spacious, even 405, the 1 bedroom. We didn’t use the sofa beds but we slept great on the actual beds. We couldn’t have asked for a better New Orleans experience. Can’t wait to stay again.

The only thing we would change is the 10am check out time. We are used to 11:00 check outs but it was fine.

Very comfortable and safe with great character to boot. Fair price. Feels like it has a lot of history, has older furnishings but it’s not dingy or decrepit. Across the street from Jazz history museum and close to tons of music venues on Decatur and Frenchman. Parking garage underneath(not big enough for everyone if the hotel is full, but I had a spot). Nice communal balcony and shaded pool area(very small pool).

My room didn’t have a lot of windows, so just OK for hanging out in.

Very neat hotel located at the east end of the French Quarter with so much in walking distance. It isn't super old but does look as though it is. The hotel has furniture that is period specific and lots of old wood. Lots of character in the hotel. The staff were all super nice. We would definitely stay there again.

There are not a lot of parking spots available. No breakfast at the hotel but plenty of places within walking distance. The mattress was not super comfortable but was ok. The rooms each have a 30 gallon water heater. We had a jacuzzi tub in our room and ran out of hot water before we could get the water level above the jets.
