The location of this hotel is amazing. It is located in a very central location to get to everything New Orleans has to offer. Everything in the French Quarter is within walking distance

The room was much much smaller than the pictures make it seem.

Love the location in the French Quarter. Easy walking to everywhere. The hotel itself is very charming and historic. The room we stayed in was beautiful. Comfortable bed. The room surpassed our expectations and was much nicer than depicted in the photos.

Not so much a real negative for us but something to bear in mind for guests with mobility issues - there is no elevator - so you need to carry your cases up and down flights of stairs.

Brilliant location, next to Bourbon St and riverside, so a great base to explore the city, but still peaceful. Really friendly helpful desk staff and the rooms were immaculate with daily housekeeping.

We booked a petit room as that was all that was available. They're well equipped and comfortable but as the name says small, so if you're planning on a longer stay, recommend going for a larger one. That said the size is reflected by the price which was really good for French Quarter, and as we weren't planning on being in the room much wasn't a huge issue.

I came to New Orleans to celebrate my birthday and staying at the Hotel Royal was an absolute pleasure and honor. When first arriving the staff was absolutely very friendly and informative of any and all questions I had about the city. If you do not like walking up steps with luggage please think twice about your stay here with there not being any elevators but the staff do offer to help carry them to your room. When looking for your room it’s like a maze. Opening the door to my room (CO7) it was beautiful and very clean. The ac units worked very well. My view from the balcony was great, especially if you’d like to have a morning coffee or just people watch throughout the day. Unfortunately they do not offer miniature fridges to store drinks or food in. If you’d like to have lunch or dinner here at the hotel definitely eat in the courtyard. Throughout the nights of my stay I have no complaints or issues with the noises disruptions of my sleep.

The hotel is full of charm. It is obviously a very old property but all of the amenities have been brought to modern standards. That being said, if you are looking for a five-star hotel experience, this isn't that. However, if you want to stay somewhere full of history and charm with an amazing location ( walking distance to everything!) this is the place for you.

The daily parking fee was not my favorite, but it is definitely hard to find any parking with reasonable prices and street parking is hot or miss for sure .

The location could not have been better for us. We walked everywhere we wanted to go during our stay. The staff was wonderful, especially Pery at the front desk. The rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable. The building was gorgeous as well.

The parking was pretty ridiculous. The lot was extremely small, and the price to pay per day on top of the hotel already being one of the most expensive in the area was completely unnecessary in my opinion. If only tenants of the hotel can park there, I don’t understand why you have to pay to park there.

The hotel is located in a perfect place to enjoy the French Quarter. We were in New Orleans for a wedding, and we were within walking distance of all of the places we needed to go. The room was very small and had few amenities but was quite comfortable. A few tweaks like more lighting, a shelf over the bathroom sink and a hook on the back of the bathroom door would make nice improvements.

Our bed was difficult for two people to use since it was up against the wall on one side, and you had to crawl in from the foot of the bed to get in. The coffee maker was not in a convenient location as there were no outlets near it.

The motel is old but rustic. They are updating things. It's in a convenient location. The bed was comfortable.

There isn't any elevator in the establishment. If you're unable to climb steps, make sure you get the ground level. The steps are very steep and slick. Be cautious using the handrails on the staircase. Your fingers will get caught in the cracks along structures that have been built. The rooms don't have a refrigerator, and you'll have to carry ice to your room (bring a cooler). The rooms are very small. We had plumbing issues and couldn't use water or any facilities for a couple of hours. If you need parking, you're going to pay $70+ per day to the motel on top of the expensive room prices. Be prepared to listen to people climbing up and down stairs.

It was a nice room very clean. It was small but it had that old world charm to it. I enjoyed my stay very much. The host at the front dest was very helpful. I missed the hotel when driving i called to ask where to pard because the roads are very small. He stayed on the phone with me talked me back to the hotel. Walked with me to show me where to park. He walks you to your room to make sure your keys work. We left at 330 am they had a guard walk with us to the parking lot. Iy is only 1 block off of bourbon st so you are close but don't get all the noise. I wold stay there again

It said onsight parking but it was around the corner and down a ways.

I liked the location and the effort of the staff. Also I loved the balcony view.

The room quality. The sound on the TV didn't work. Maintenance had too come and reset it. The sliding door too reach the balcony needed too be oiled. Almost got stuck out on the balcony. Should do a pre-check on all of the amenities before renting out the room.
