They did have snacks for purchase, coffee, tea & lemon water always available! The rooms were very clean and amazing. I stayed in the suite with the jacuzzi tub which was very relaxing and was clean. It had a stand in shower with glass! The regular room I had next had a standard bath/shower whichwas nice! Very exclusive and romantic environment and the outside brick patio was exquisite with greenery and two swimming pools with lounge chairs. They even had two cats that were very friendly!

The inside of the toilet could’ve been a little more thoroughly cleaned where the hard to get places were.

The location for what I required was fantastic. The hotel is located in the French Quarter, but not slap bang in the middle of it. Sleep was possible each night (!) and all things were within a very short walking distance. I arrived in quite late for check and was given a room on the ground floor (Room 149). The room was an "internal" room (next to the courtyard), with the windows covered and had no daylight! However, after a day or two, I was relocated to a different ground floor room (Room 101 - insert joke here!) for the remainder of my stay. Both rooms were excellent, but I prefer to have daylight and this was accommodated. Room 149 had a jacuzzi but I'm more of a shower person, and the shower wasn't great (poor water pressure, and a fixed head shower - not ideal for someone of my short stature). Room 101 had a better shower.

No breakfast provided, but free coffee and chilled water available in the lobby. However, having now visited the hotel, I know know that there would simply be no space to allocate as a dining room.

The hotel lobby was absolutely beautiful and they have a free 24 hour coffee bar and a mini store with snacks and cold/frozen items for sale. The room was lovely and it had so much old world charm with the high exposed wood ceiling and beams, along with wood floors. The French doors to the room were so quaint and the red brick fireplace completed the feel of being in another time. The room had a small TV, mini fridge and microwave, perfect for our needs. The AC was nice and cold and there was a portable heater if you got chilly.

My only complaint was the construction going on next door that started too early. Good thing we needed to get up anyway. Oh, and the bed had a noisy box spring mattress that took some getting used to.

Historic building in a great location about a block from Louis Armstrong Park, in a quiet, residential part of the French Quarter. In keeping with the original design of the building, there is no lobby or common area, but they do have a free coffee service in the morning. As I was travelling solo I booked a single room, which was small but comfortable. The shower was maybe the best one I had of the several places I stayed in New Orleans!

Nothing. It's a quiet place to sleep while exploring the French Quarter, so no bar, hotel facilities etc., but it was just what I wanted.

This is a wonderful, small and French Quarter funky hotel and this is what we want. We lived in the Quarter and always return here. The creole feel of the quarters and the appointments of the rooms, the meandering courtyard and small swimming pools is a great oasis before or after hiking around the haunts of NOLA. We've stayed in rooms off one of the pools, in main building, the "cabin" in the back with porch and across the street in a room in the typical Quarter house which it has its own courtyard. The staff wants you to be comfortable and they are New Orleans friendly and ready to help or just talk.

The ambiance of the French Quarter was fantastic! The room was small but who's planning to stay there while in New Orleans anyway! The location was excellent if exploring the French Quarter ... Easy walk to anywhere. The freeway was close by and easy to get to if you want to venture farther away. It was clean, the staff were super friendly, as were other guests. It felt safe. The bed was comfortable.

The heating unit did not work well, and a coffee pot in the room would have been nice.

Its a charming hotel in a great location. I like the court yard & little swimming pools. The staff was wonderful. My phone & CCs were stolen & the night clerk helped me contact my bank & CC co to shut the cards down ASAP. The entire staff let me use their phones & computer for the rest of my stay. I asked to move rooms & they were very accommodating.

My first queen room was very cramped & not in the best location but the hotel was fully booked. The staff helped me change rooms as soon as more people checked out & I really loved my second room.

Great location, very nice lobby, affordable, updated checkout process and online option for late checkout request for a nominal fee which is why I was mystified by what I encountered in my room…please see below:

Ceiling fan was covered with dust, floor not cleaned under the bed, tile edge in bathroom was grimy, had to climb on a chair to turn the heat on and off.no blow dryer-had to request twice, there were no hangers in the closet!?!? I really didn’t understand the reason(s)for any of this. I’ve stayed here many times and the staff was not as cordial as they were from pasts visits. Maybe the effort that was directed towards on line upgrades should have addressing the condition of the guest rooms instead?

The location was fantastic and I loved the character of the hotel and guests staying. We could walk virtually anywhere and were close to bus / trams.

The room wasn't the cleanest space we've stayed in. There was a lot of debris and bits of crumbled wall behind the headboard and it was a little damp smelling. Apart from that we were very happy.

The location was perfect, you can walk everywhere. Close to bars and restaurants. I stayed with my pet. The staff very nice and helpful.

It was a problem to open the door of the room. These are exterior rooms that are accessed through a patio. The lock and the handle are old and need to be replaced. We met the previous guest occupying the room, they said they had the same issue. Other than that, I would be back there again.
