We were here for less than 24 hours, so wanted to make the most of our limited time. Bourbon Orleans Hotel was the perfect choice! Only steps from Jackson Square, Cafe Du Monde and the Mississippi River. On the corner of Bourbon and Orleans Streets. Close to the craziness of Bourbon St., but yet quiet and relaxing. The staff were exceptional. The valet (Deshawn) treated us with a smile upon arrival and was even kind enough to deliver my husband’s wallet and phone to the front desk after he inadvertently left them behind. We had a balcony room that overlooked the beautiful pool/interior courtyard. Once we were finished exploring the neighborhood, we enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful bar and listening to incredibly talented bands. Anna, the bar supervisor was great to chat with, as was Taz, who manned the bar in the early afternoon. Alas, we weren’t visited by any of the ghosts that are rumored to live here. But maybe next time? We can’t wait to come back for a longer visit.

This was my second stay at the Bourbon Orleans, and it won’t be my last! The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the French Quarter, yet still feels like a peaceful retreat from the bustle. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the overall atmosphere is charming and welcoming. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything we needed. From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again!

The only downside was not realizing until later in my stay that closing the heavy curtains helped reduce street noise—something I’ll remember for next time!

Location, location,location. At the center of the most interesting part of New Orleans. Nice building, you feel the history while staying there. Nice inner garden with a pool.

You cannot open a window in the room we stayed in. If this is essential for you, ask!

We stayed in a room with two queen beds, both of which were very comfortable, along with good pillows and bedding. The room also had a lovely balcony at the back of the property, which was perfect for airflow when we kept the door open. It overlooked a small side street off Bourbon, so the people-watching was fun from the balcony. It was shared with two other rooms and came with a cute bistro table and chairs, making it a pleasant spot to sit outside. Inside the room, there were only a couple of ottomans or stools for seating—an actual chair would have been a nice addition. The TV worked well, and while I didn’t use the in-room coffee maker (since the front desk rattled off instructions so fast it made me wonder if there’d be an extra charge), they do offer free coffee downstairs each morning. As some other reviewers mentioned, the shower water pressure is a bit low, but it worked just fine for us. I think some people are just extremely picky and tend to complain over minor issues. The bathroom was quite spacious and functioned well overall. My only real complaint was that the mini-fridge didn’t cool very well, and there was no microwave, which would’ve been convenient. Aside from that, it was a nice stay. We didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant or visit the bar, so I can’t comment on those.

Our room faced the alley and it was super small. We had a single king and could barely navigate around the bed on the window side. Our single friend had a large room with 2 queen beds 🤷‍♀️ The other 2 couple had water pressure issues with no to little hot water Restaurant only serves breakfast. No dinner option unless you want snacks ordered from the bar.

Beautiful property and A+ location. Phillip who works at the hotel bar was hands down my favorite part of the entire trip. Friendly, knowledgeable and hilarious!

The only reason I marked down this review is due to the internal construction being done by the city inside the hotel. When I say inside the hotel, I mean directly outside of my room. Often I would find 2x4’s, paint cans and miscellaneous construction debris in front of my door. It was also very noisy (only during the day). This place was too expensive to have this disruption outside of my door.

Loved the location. Rooms were beautiful. My goodness, the most comfortable bed ever !! WE did the upgrade to a street balcony suite - was lovely. Yes, noisy at night (we were second from Bourbon Street) didn't really worry us as we were out till late anyway. (Ear plugs on the final night helped).

The $100US charge for an extra 3hrs use of the room. We did a 5 night stay, did the paid upgrade also. Would have been nice for this to be waived (individual cases) as it was not going to be used. We had spent good money at the Hotel so that would of been really nice.

The location is awesome. The view from the balcony to Bourbon St., superb. The front desk staff was amazing and friendly, housekeeping was great. The hotel itself was clean and smelled good. The concierge was very helpful and personable with great recommendations.

I guess it was bad timing and I was extremely tired. The system went down to produce our keys at check in. They did store our luggage until we came back for them hours later as told by front desk. We were given one key for the room and had to come back the next day to trade for actual key cards. The next day we were woken up by the fire alarm around 8-9 am. Though they said disregard alarm over the intercom it stopped and started at least 2 more times.

Fantastic location. The staff were wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bar downstairs and the music that was there over the time we were staying was great.

Our fridge in the room was very noisy so we ended up turning it off during the night. So it was an easy fix. We didn't really have much to cool.

Location was great. The hotel was beautiful. The beds were super comfortable. The heated pool was good as well.

The 1st night there the shower water wouldn’t get any hotter than lukewarm. Thankfully the next day the water got nice and hot. There are no pullout couches as advertised. The hotel staff said they don’t know how the rooms were advertised as having pullout couches because they have never had them.
