Our room was incredible. In terms of actual size versus pictures that are available the room was much bigger than we anticipated. Plenty of open space overall. The sleeping area was very adequate and the bathroom felt like I was in a spa with the rainfall shower head.

I would say the only aspect I didn't like is the fact that there was a lot of security measures in place and proximity to lack of transportation. But I do understand the hotel is in a rough neighborhoodso the security measures are needed. The lack of transportation is primarily.due to being so far away from the city street car system that is available. The hotel sits 11 blocks away from the nearest street car so unless you have your own car to get around transportation around is going to be hard to come by.

We had a 2 bedroom suite. The facility is almost brand new and everything in the rooms is brand new. It has fully equiped kitchen with refrigerator, oven, microvawe, stovetop, coffee machine. There were pot/pans, dishes, cups, cutlery - everything you may need. There is a washer and dryer in the room. It is clean and the beds were very comfortable. We spent 4 nights there and we didn't faced a lot of problems aside of the fact that the water temperature in the bathroom is not quite hot. Strangely, the hot water in the kitchen sink had hotter temperature for some reason. We paid additionally for a car parking - 15$ a day in a gated parking - secure and safe. They have a jacuzzy pool outside for their guests, so you may bring some swim suits if that's your thing. The hotel is 10-15 minutes drive from the French Quarter - you may park at the Basin Lot next to the St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 - it is only 10$ for 10 hours /20$ fo 24 hours and it is 10 minutes walk from Burbon street.

I hope that it is fixable - the hot water temperature in the bathroom needs to be regulated and increased if possible.

Pretty much everything about the hotel. Other than my bed was kind of lean but me Personally, It kind of made it a little bit more comfortable. Everything was clean And spaces, we have to 2 bedroom, 2 baths. There was like a 10 minute ride to bourbon street. There is so much Exploring To do a weekend, don't do no Justice. I would recommend this hotel. Oh, and there was peanuts in the tub And the virtual key pad I really didn't like, so I'm kinda glad I got a pin to be able to get in the doors.. But other than that, it was great. We will be staying again

The location was great and our room was very nice. Kitchen was nice..appliances worked well.

Lights were very bright in living area..maybe a dimmer would be a good idea..also seating was not very comfortable for four adults..maybe a sit up chair..bedroom fan was not controlled..only on very high speed. Also plates and silverware were very cheap.. Please know that these are only suggestions..we really liked the space and would definitely return ❤️

A Hidden Gem in the Bywater – Holy Angels Convent Turned Dreamy Hotel! Staying at the Bywater Suite Hotel was such a unique and memorable experience! The property, once the historic Holy Angels Convent, has been beautifully repurposed into a boutique hotel that’s full of character and charm. The architecture alone is worth the visit. Our suite was incredibly spacious and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. One of the highlights of our stay was the serene pool area — a true oasis in the heart of the Bywater. It felt like a peaceful retreat yet still just a short walk or ride to all the excitement of the French Quarter. Huge kudos to Rachel Van Voorhees for taking such amazing care of us during our stay! Her warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made the experience all the more special. You can really feel the love and care that’s been put into making this place a true home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a New Orleans stay that’s full of history, beauty, and comfort.

The hot tub the pool the enormous space that we had was awesome. Having two bedrooms and two baths was fantastic. Although they offer paid parking within the gate you can easily park just right across the street from the gate entrance. The number 8 bus comes within two blocks of the entrance gate and will take you within a few stops to just a few blocks north of Bourbon street. The 7-Day Jazzy pass for $15 a person is an absolute bargain for that reason. This place was amazing it is a true gem and the staff were incredible. We will stay there again without question.

Would have liked the hot tub to have been open a little bit longer because we always got back later than the 10:00 p.m. closing. I would also say that some more silverware and coffee cups and things need to be in the room itself. The kitchen implements were very very limited.

We stayed in Bywater because it’s cheaper than staying on the French quarter (FQ), but we’re so glad we did. It’s quiet and nice to recharge from being in the busy FQ. Bywater is also a trendy area with lots of quaint cafes, restaurants, bars. We had our breakfasts and some dinners in bywater, which were nicer than the FQ. The property is near many cute spots. It’s also close to the 8 bus stop which takes you direct to FQ, or catch an uber for $10-20 one way depending on time of day. The property itself was good. Its very secure and code entrance mechanism is great. We didn’t use pool due to bad weather. We used the little gym one day, its very basic and not enough weights for women, but we made due and it was nice to have it. The room itself had everyone we needed, including a washer and dryer. The bed and pillows were not the comfiest but also not the worst. There was an issue with the bathroom tap which they fixed while we were there. Then there was also an issue with the shower head, but we just used the hand held bit. Their communication was good and helpful. I’d say this was excellent value for money. My thoughts are that if you are only in town for a night, I’d stay in the FQ but if you are in town for 3 nights like us I’d recommend staying here.

Great location, spotless, secure parking, pool & hot tub well maintained, very friendly staff

< The primary reason I cannot give this place a 9 is because of the bed. The bed was terrible, like a 1-star hotel terrible. I tried sleeping on the sleeper couch the second night, and THAT was even worse. There isn't a bed inside the sleeper couch, it simply pulls out more couch cushions to extend the seating area. There weren't extra sheets nor blankets for the couch. < Another major reason is the lack of hot shower water. It's warm and lasts MAYBE 12 min max and for the first shower.

Spacious and attractive. Very nice full size kitchen. The large common area with two separate bedrooms and individual bathrooms offered great privacy. Large sectional in common room can be used as a third bed. Very clean. Beautiful pool area and easy access to French Quarter and other attractions

Reserved, gated parking very expensive, but probably needed, given neighborhood. Utter lack of table or floor lamps in common area or either bedroom was inconvenient and made it impossible to dim lighting anywhere. Reading in bed required guest to get back out of bed to turn off overhead light when done. No way to use kitchen at night while someone sleeps on sectional without lighting entire area and disturbing sleeper. Tying bathroom exhaust fans to the bathroom light switches particularly annoying, requiring guest to listen to very noisy fan whenever in bathroom for any purpose, including putting on makeup or doing hair. Fan lbs should be on separate switches from lights.

Completely new suites, with great equipment! Big car park in front. You are at the French Quarter in around 1 h walking time. The large poll and whirlpool are also great!

They had a fitness room which was under construction during our stay, but looked promising
