Good location, easy to walk into town. Liked being able to use the facilities of the Duff Green Mansion – swimming pool, garden, veranda . Enjoyed the mansion tour.

First night the room was very cold and had to wear clothes in bed. The Aircon is centralised for the whole building. The next day we were told where the building controller was and to simply change it as we wanted and was okay after that. Breakfast was at Duff Green mansion at 8.30 prompt a few minutes walk away, so an earlier start than we would have liked. Beware fierce mosquitoes at the pool. It is advertised as having a kitchen, but though there was a microwave and fridge it wasnt really a kitchen as it didnt have a sink or water. We enjoyed our stay but if you can afford to, stay at the mansion.

Charming old building near downtown Vicksburg. The same owners own the nearby Duff Green Mansion bed and breakfast where you are invited for wine at 5 PM, this morning we were serve an elaborate breakfast in the mansion in the beautiful dining room. Food was served in courses. If I had a complaint I saw no way to control the AC temp, it was too cold at night. Quiet place. Rooms are named after Mississippi literary lions, I was in the John Grisham room. They had Tennessee Williams, Faulkner, etc.

The location was good. 15 mins to the main high street. We weren’t in the mansion. Stayed in Halpino. It was a good place to stay. Breakfast was just down the road at the mansion house. Lovely house where all the guests have breakfast in the dining room there. Beautifully presented silver wear old fashioned atmosphere. Then there is a guided talk about the history. Very good.

Air conditioning would have been good, but there was a fan. Luckily not really hot. The breakfast was a fruit cocktail, warm biscuits with butter and jelly. All lovely. Followed by a sausage quiche type thing and grits. I quite liked it but my husband is a little fussy and wasn’t keen. He would have liked egg and bacon. Sadly no toast, but good coffee and a lovely experience over all.

Great location within walking distance from restaurants and museums. Excellent value for well equipped building with delightful artwork, and five rooms each with own bathroom. The shared area included small fridge, keurig coffee, and icemaker as well as a table and sitting areas. Breakfast, evening wine and swimming pool available at Mansion a short walk away. There are stairs to enter and access by keycode. Clear instructions provided by text check-in.

The house we stayed was cute…. The room was nice and clean and comfortable. Next day morning we had breakfast at the Duff mansion and it was great. Everybody got to sit together and eat a very nice well southern breakfast made from scratch. Our host was very nice and gave us the story about the house and her family ties to it…. Great place to stay…

It would be nice if you had a small community refrigerator by the coffee machine and microwave…. Just a suggestion😃

Location is superb - we loved Vicksburg! The history of the building and surrounding areas was fascinating. The staff at Duff Green Mansion were extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was amazing, and to have use of the facilities - pool and grounds - made the trip. The price for all that we had was incredible. Car parking was free too, with easy access to the city center.

Air conditioning was slightly noisy and made bedroom too cold. Water supply nearer to the coffee machine would have been useful.

This was a stop over as we carried on to Memphis which was a brilliant bonus of having a tour around Duff Green which is magnificent. The hostess was very helpful and informative. Breakfast was fabulous unfortunately we did not have time to explore the area but would thoroughly recommend the Halpino and Duff Green.

Nothing regarding the stay, from our perspective it was not giving ourselves enough time to explore the area.

Great location right in the historic district. Halpino is very unique and that’s what we look for when we travel. The common areas still look like an 80’s law firm. The law books are so cool. I love how Duff Green gives guests all access to the house and they do the same with Halpino. Our room was very comfortable. The mattress and bedding were wonderful! It was very quiet and we couldn’t hear any other guests. The neighborhood is safe. It’s a typical historic district in Mississippi. Think Natchez or Laurel. You are safe. The off street parking area was great.

Need more than 2 towels for 2 adults. 4 would be more appropriate. The common area soda/water/coffee area needed restocking badly. The little attic access door in our room being unlocked was a little creepy. We didn’t go to breakfast because booking.com said it was included but our checkin text message said “If you paid for breakfast, please join us”. We didn’t want to show up for something we hadn’t paid for. It was confusing. We have stayed at Duff Green before and the reception we got at checkin as a Duff Green guest was much friendlier than it was as a guest at Halpino. The worker seemed annoyed that we were there honestly.

It is like going into a colonial home. There was a coffee machine, fridge and ice machine in the living room. Each room was named after someone and told about them. The breakfast was served in another b and b house nearby, with a tour of the house afterwards.

When we got there noone was there. We rang and there was a recording to wait. We had to call to find out how to get in and where our room was.

Good location short walk to the restaurants/bars (this is up/down hill). Very friendly staff and comfortable room with all the essentials. Loved the breakfast and experience at The Duff Green Mansion.

Minor details (wouldn't put us off), would have benefited from a shower mat due to the short shower screen. Also to note the bed is extremely tall, not an issue for us as we are young but would be more challenging for others.
