We needed a place to stay as we drove back home after visiting Colorado. We stopped in Cameron since it was almost halfway home for our trip. We weren’t too sure about staying at a Red Roof Inn, the ones near our home are pretty sketchy, but this tied with best overall reviews on all sites I checked for hotels in this town. We got a secret deal on Booking so we tried it. We had one of the best stays here During our vacation and glad we tried it. Room was exactly like website pictures, clean and comfortable beds. We were on the top floor in a corner room so it was quiet all night. The bed was very comfy too. They did serve breakfast, standard hotel breakfast but better than some places we stayed. Biscuits/gravy, pancakes, cereal, hard boiled eggs and the usual toast and yogurt selections. The only complaint we had is the air conditioner was Very loud when it ran and did t kick on much through the night so was hot in the middle of the night.

Loud air conditioner that did t run steady. Warning- no elevator so if you can’t do 2 or 3 floors request 1st floor.

It was very clean. The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice.

Although the choices they did have for breakfast were good, there were very few. Wish there would’ve been more variety. Also didn’t like how when I had the air conditioning on in the room, I couldn’t hear the TV. The volume didn’t go very loud.

Was it perfect ? No. Was it a great value ? Yes ! Having a lung disease, I appreciated it being low/to fragrance free. The mattress & pillows were comfortable. The clerk was knowledgeable about restaurants. We arrived after the start of a snowstorm and this was a perfect place to overnight. Great value.

The baseboards were dusty and the wall behind the sink could stand a good cleaning. But the bathroom was spacious and appeared clean. We stayed in an accessible room.

This was the first time we ever stayed at a 'Red Roof'. "Free Breakfast" can be interpreted in a lot of ways. We've been to motels ( even in bigger cities ) where it consisted of nothing more than a small cup of coffee and a mini-muffin. This property offered more choices, including an automated pancake-maker - a novelty for us and a few other travelers in the breakfast room. On the outside, the building is very plain (but clean), yet the inside is clean, updated and rather modern compared to other hotels in this price range. Laminate floors in the rooms instead of carpeting, soft, plush carpeting in the hallways. Proprietors were nice and friendly. I had changed one of the rooms directly with the hotel instead of booking.com, which resulted in a slight issue with payment (entirely my mistake); it was taken care off without a problem. Should we ever have a need to stay in Cameron again, this will be our first choice.

This property offers good value for an overnight stay. We appreciated the friendly greeting from the hosts, the comfortable first floor room with a king bed and an entirely satisfactory breakfast with a number of choices.

The property is on a side street and is a little difficult to find especially for an evening arrival. The surroundings are a little rough, but we felt entirely safe once inside the property. A choice of fresh fruit would have enhanced the breakfast.

We unplugged the refrigerator because it vibrated and was too loud. I could even hear the refrigerator in the next room. It was probably on the wall near the head of our bed. Unplugging ours helped. Otherwise, we liked how clean the entire room was. We thought the negative comments on Bookings.com did not apply to our stay at all!

It had a comfortable bed. Air conditioner worked great. It was clean.

The parking was difficult. We came in late and had to park next door. They were redoing the road and there was gravel and metal plates everywhere. So not easy for a low profile car.

Skipped breakfast second morning and had to buy food elsewhere because I’m diabetic and everything except the eggs were white bread or sugar.

It was quiet and clean. Excellent customer service, friendly staff.

The only area I could see for improvement would be the shower heads. The stream from the shower head is wide which makes it difficult for washing your hair.

very clean, friendly knowledgeable staff who assisted me at registration in digging up my Booking.com reservation that had been assigned to my Booking.com account using the alias name assigned to my gmail account causing confusion. The experience of the hotel management was valuable in resolving the confusion caused by this programming deficiency of the Booking.com platform. Our room was very very clean, comfortable and a great value. The restaurant recommended to us by the manager was very nearby and a good place to dine. Overall, we were well pleased with this property and will be using it in our future travels in this area.
