Beautiful property with fascinating history. Loved the outdoor pool and hot tub. Lobby and pool staff were very helpful. Great coffee in the little shop in the lobby. Comfortable beds and quiet rooms. Great area for walking and bike rides. Everyone was very friendly including other guests, which makes me think all were enjoying their stay.

Hallway carpets and elevator show plenty of wear. Walking through the hallway, cleaning staff would leave used linens in the hall that you had to walk around. We stayed 3 nights and the 2nd day the room didn't have trash or towel service.

Everything about this stay was amazing! Took my daughter for her birthday and she already wants to go back. We didn't experience the spa, but we did attend the ghost tour. Jay was very knowledgeable about the history (as well as the paranormal which is to be expected with any historical building). The staff was super accommodating, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the hot tub/pool area was spotless. They provide the best toiletries, which can be purchased at the spa. My kid spent the entire night in her robe. I will definitely be purchasing one next time we go, which will be in a few months from now.

Beautiful hotel and property with a very interesting history! There is plenty to do at the hotel--outdoor yard games, year round out door hot tub, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, bar, restaurant, paranormal tours. I'd love to be able to stay for a week to do everything. The room was also amazing with a jetted tub in the bathroom and a separate living area and bedroom.

We ordered room service for breakfast. It took about 45 minutes to arrive and it was a little cold. It tasted good, but it was not worth $125. I was dreaming of the banana pancakes that I had the last time we stayed but these did not match up, sadly. Also, the grotto was closed in the spa area, which I was very much looking forward to as well.

The spa was amazing. I had a massage and a facial and both were wonderful (although, my massage therapist talked a little more than I prefer). I love the grotto and being able to relax while waiting! The cafe on site is a little pricy and doesn't have standard black/breakfast tea (only Earl Grey) which was disappointing. Our room was nice - a little small, and our view as into what looked like a back alley/parking area, but we spent most of our time out at the pool or exploring the shops, or at the spa, so it wasn't a deal breaker. Love the flavored water in the lobby and the staff was very friendly!

Would love some breakfast tea in the cafe. Our room smelled a little like stale smoke. I'm not sure why since I believe it's a non-smoking hotel. Maybe just beause the building is older?

It was very comfortable. For me and my newly wedd wife, the staff ..."forgot" to close down the hot tub on our last night when they heard we hadn't made use of any of their facilities due to our busy schedule. It meant a lot to me, and my lovely wife was very happy.

It was expensive. Then again, my wife says I'm a curmudgeon hahaha! Really, the worst part of our delightful stay was that we couldn't get a massage because I wasn't aware you have to book that far in advance. That's about it.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

For the price per room, I was hoping to have a mini-fridge available, but thankfully I had brought a large cooler. The breakfast situation was confusing in that I had to clarify multiple times about how the breakfast "credit" would work since I opted into that when originally booking the room. To have breakfast included in the cost of the room would be easier than the "credit."

The spa and The Grotto experience were EXACTLY what I needed. It's such a relaxing experience. It rained most of my stay so I enjoyed hanging out in outdoor seating on various patios around the property.

I arrived early to go to the pool which was PACKED due to a wedding and other parties. Totally fun for them, but a disappointing way to kick off what I was craving - time to disconnect and relax away from home.

We had a parlor suite on the 5th floor, and I absolutely loved the room, it was perfect for us since only 1 of us is an early riser. We also love the outdoor hot tub, and the pool area downstairs. The room service breakfast was great!

The elevators were broken for the duration of our visit, and since we were on the 5th floor, it was pretty inconvenient. On the bright side, we did get out steps in while we were there! We really enjoy the outdoor hot tub and the indoor pool and hot tub. The downstairs pool and hot tub area could use a good powerwashing, especially by the steps. We love the facility, it could just use a little attention to detail. One other issue was that the jetted tub in our room needs attention. When we turned on the jets, it sprayed chunks of black mold into the bath, so we had to get out immediately. Since the tub was very slow to drain, we could never really get those chunks out of the tub, even with the shower on. We were in room 524.

The hot tub outside was amazing. Also the holiday decor in the lobby and throughout the hotel was very well done. The staff was also helpful and friendly.

I expected that the room would have a mini fridge, since that is a pretty common amenity at even lower quality hotels. I also didn't care for the bed or the bedding. The mattress was too firm for my preference and the bedding was too crisp and loud anytime you moved.

We hadn't been there in 15 years. The renovations/remodeling is terrific. They have kept the Old World feel but modernized everything. Spa was great, lobby was awesome to hang out in and we were upgraded to a suite and it was heavenly, lots of room and wonderful bed/bedroom/bath. Highly enjoyed it all
