The continental breakfast is awesome. There are alot of different choices, gluten free, assorted bars, muffins, yogurt, both regular milk and almond milk. French toast, assorted bagels, english muffins. Asorted jelly, honey and peanut butter, cream cheese. Many flavors of coffee and tea.

We stayed here last year as well, but in a suite. The bed was extremly comfortable. This time we stayed in a standard room with two queen beds. My husband and I started out together in one bed the first night, but it wasn't comfortable for me, so I switched to the second bed, that one was about the same. Not the best matteress but not the worst either.

It was a charming renovated mill building. The lobby was warm and inviting. There is a notebook in the lobby that says where different architectural pieces are from. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was small , however the quality of the offerings was high. We sat out by the river one afternoon and it was sooo peaceful. The restaurant is attached via a covered walkway but there are also other restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this inn!!!

I didn’t like the housekeeping gratuity was added.

Rooms are clean but simple with few amenities, but the few amenities are unique quality items such as the face soap provided. The restaurant is decent and had some barbeque specials that are very tasty. Enjoyed the resident cat who is people friendly. The Barn Cafe is short walk and serves delicious breakfasts and lunch. Really enjoy the setting of the Comman Man location in small town in New Hampshire.

Claremont city water isn't drinkable. The resident cat doesn't have clean fresh water to readily drink.

I loved the old industrial style building that the hotel was in, and the way that the hotel used aspects of the old building to add more character. The front desk staff were extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. The lobby cat, Clare, was a great addition. I liked that the restaurant and bar were right night door to the hotel, so we didn’t have to leave the property for a meal. Our two floor suite was also really nice and unique.

I think the experience would have been amplified if there was a wider variety for the continental breakfast. We enjoyed what they offered (like the muffins and coffee) but it felt like it was missing certain things. The parking was a bit confusing at first, as we were told to simply ignore the nearby parking signs labeled “no parking” out front and told to park anywhere but a few spots. I think if some of the old “no parking” signs could be removed and the parking situation could be updated, it would be an easier parking experience.

The Common Man Inn and the room we had was exceptional. My wife and I both grew up in Claremont and were back to attend a funeral. We have stayed here before back in 2019 (for my mom's funeral). The rooms are beautifully appointed and of high quality. Very comfortable, clean, cozy, and welcoming.

We are elderly. The toilet is too low. You need more grab bars by the toilet and INSIDE the bathtub. No walk-in showers available or so we were told. Still, a pleasant stay and we would book again.

The location is lovely. Right on the water with a nice outdoor area. Absolutely gorgeous setting. We used the hot tub and it was great. Continental breakfast was nice - muffins very tasty. Restaurant was near by - I was surprised by the long wait on a Wed evening (at 6:30 we had to wait an hour) when it didn't seem very full ( we walked around it before entering) but calling our room when our table was ready was a nice service. The restaurant staff were very friendly.

There was a "resident cat" which - I am very allergic to cats - didn't bother me but I'm not sure I would have booked there if I'd have known. Parking was not the most convenient (especially when it was raining) and it was annoying that all of the parking out front was for the "Red River" - why did they have all the convenient parking?

The staff called me before check-in just to ask if there was anything they could do to make my check-in and stay more comfortable! Staff were super friendly very helpful and kind. The whole building is so gorgeous with the brick throughout. Very nice that it’s on the river. Complementary breakfast. Gorgeous giant fireplace in the lobby with couches and even some games. Very lovely restaurant even with a gluten-free menu. They even had a cat that wandered around the property that was a rescue… The cat was so friendly.

The pictures showed an outdoor hot tub, but found out later that that was part of a private suite. Although there is a hot tub on the property which was inside an enclosed room, but lovely.

Love the quaint old time feel of this Inn. Like stepping back in time including a working rotary phone in the room! Our king room 226 had an amazing view of the river and comfortable bed. We wish we had stayed for dinner. We thought the restaurant was in the basement so went for a walk and ate elsewhere. Afterwards, we found it was behind the Inn in a seperate building and it was absolutely lovely and should not have been missed!

I stayed in a double room the night after running the Boston Marathon. Claremont is easy to get to, not too far from one of the interstate highways. The Common Man Inn is a converted mill. What an absolutely beautiful place to stay. This inn is spectacular — from its location on the river to its rustic refurbished buildings, excellent restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, and overall sparkling cleanliness. The large room near reception is so very appealing: three comfy sofas around the fireplace to read. Brick and beams and bookcases...so warm and inviting. The staff members were friendly, helpful, and profesional. Caterinne, the girl who greeted us at the reception, was charming, efficient and gave us all kinds of instructions. We appreciated that the Fitness Center with Gym / Workout Roomfitness room and jakuzzi and sauna facilities were open until 11 p.m. That was the perfect ending to the marathon. The rooms are spacious and the bedding is among the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Spacious room (perfectly-placed reading light., air conditioning, Desk,Telephone, Coffee / tea maker, Refrigerator, Flatscreen TV, Bottled water, Iron, Wake-up service / alarm clock...) Nicely equiped bathroom: Complimentary toiletries, Hair dryer, artisan soap ... Free wifi was included and it was fast and uninterrupted. In the morning there was a complimentary expanded continental breakfast served in the lobby, Cereals, breads, juice, fruit, better quality yoghurts, coffee, thee and superdelicious the breakfast sándwiches: high quality. I look forward to being there again !

We could only enjoy this super hotel for a few hours !!!

Beautiful building on the river. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful with questions. The room was super clean and comfortable. The lobby area felt more like a comfy seating area in a large home. We were happy with our choice of accommodations and would recommend to others.

The parking lot if your vehicle didn't fit in the parking deck could be better. It's a dirt lot behind the building with no lights at night. Muddy and full of large puddles after the rain. It could definitely be improved.
