The guy at the front desk was super sweet and helpful! Super convenient parking too, and was impressed how nice the room and lobby was! beds were really comfy, room relatively clean too and nice it was smoking accessible! easy check in and out, and love the 12 o’clock check out time. super good price for a stay during a major summer holiday!!

The only issues was the tv’s speakers were blown out but my sister and i had a laugh about it! also the elevator button for closing the doors didn’t work, as a girl i definitely wish it had been operating since i had a weird guy come onto the elevator with me last minute and see what room i went into. The location definitely wasn’t super close to the beach (a 10 minute walk i would say) and the buildings and ambience around the place was definitely a little run down and could use some love! unfortunately as a woman it definitely felt uneasy walking to and from the boardwalk!

The room was clean and smoke free. Whenever I needed something, I would ask the staff at the front desk, and the staff was quite friendly and accommodating; for example, I had forgotten to pack my toothbrush, and the hotel staff provided me with one when I asked if they had any. They also spent time and chatted with my roommate Nick when they weren't busy with other guests. The food at Perry's Cafe was delicious. The staff there was also friendly and professional. The dining area was clean, and the service was quick. :)

The location of the hotel isn't the best, but hotel staff made sure that our car and belongings were secure. :) We would have also liked having a small refrigerator in our room; that way, we could have stored food or beverages that needed to be refrigerated in it. However, it was not big deal.

5 minutes to beach and 5 minutes walk to Resorts casino/ landshark beach! EXCELLENT STAFF!! kind, helpful supportive for all needs. I got volunteered assistance getting my luggage upstairs due to injury I had! room was awesome clean, table with chairs refrigerator with mini freezer kept my Ice ICED!! and had a microwave!! I stayed 3 days 2 nights.. BEST choice besides a casino room!

for me the walk due leg injury .. the street is a typical city street but it's Tennessee ave.. straight down is the BEST 99C store on the boardwalk.. but the walk itself is all that's not the best.

Overall my stay at the Howard Johnson was excellent. The pool being open was a big plus I have kids and frequently bring them to A.C. majority of the hotels we stay at always have a reason that the pool is closed. Location was another plus the establishment is close to a mini mall with a supermarket. Just a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk made it convenient when getting around and I love the fact the jitney bus stop is right outside the hotel. Rooms were comfortable and the blackout curtains were heaven sent I prefer to sleep in a dark room so no issues there. The front desk staff were amazing I know requests cannot always be honored but they went out of there way to ensure we had a good stay appreciate you guys I will be back soon.

Not enough vending machines only a drink machine if there were a snack/ice cream machine it would make so much money....just a suggestion. Most stores close pretty early and they do not carry a lot of normal everyday items.

Thomas at the front desk was great! Amazing customer service, easy to speak with, and very helpful and pleasant conversation with him! Check in was quick and easy, and Thomas was very helpful to us!

The elevator broke immediately after we made our way up to our room with our bags. Just a mild inconvenience but nothing that would shy us away from staying here again, as we’ve stayed here a dozen times and this was definitely a one-off situation.

The place is CLEAN. Both ice machines work. The staff is ready to help 24/7 even at early hours of the morning. They replenish coffee, sugar, creamer, EVERY DAY. The price is affordable. The location is 2 blocks away from the boardwalk. There is a large laundromat downstairs. Supermarket "Save a lot" provides fresh food at best prices.

The internet disconnects some time.

I liked the location. Close to the Hard Rock Cafe. Very convenient. Like a 6 min walk. The beds are comfortable. The sheets are So soft.hhg The rooms were clean. The fact I requested a refrigerator and it was put in my room.

The parking situation. The sheets had some sand in them. I didn't discover this until the morning after when running my hands over them.
