Wonderful and caring staff! My daughter and I arrived to the hotel two hours early before check in. We planned to go to New York City for the day and we were hoping to drop off our bags and freshen up at the hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating and allowed us to check into our room early, and then even helped with directions on getting to NYC by train. 🍎🚉 Within a couple minutes of us entering the room there was a knock on door from housekeeping. The kind woman handed me two Kenilworth gift bags filled with snacks, pen, notepad and a lovely handwritten note to welcome us for our mother/daughter trip, Which I had mentioned when booking the trip. We were both so touched by such a lovely thoughtful gift. ❤️☺️ The hotel smelled clean when you entered. The rooms were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and always present The breakfast was very good and the bacon perfectly crispy. High end coffee machine grinds as you brew. Coffee was very good. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay!

The coffee machine in the dining area was not working properly for the two days that we were there. The man was working on trying to fix it. The first day I was able to get a cup of coffee after he was done fixing the machine, but the next day it was on the glitch again. However, someone was trying to fix it so I don’t think this is common.

This was my second stay at The Kenilworth Hotel, and once again, it was absolutely fantastic. I came from London a week early to cover a wedding and spent two wonderful weeks here with my family. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the housekeepers were respectful and hardworking, and the 24-hour coffee machine was a lovely touch. We especially enjoyed the delicious cooked breakfasts and the comfortable rooms. Great location, great service — I’ll definitely be back again!

Absolutely nothing! The staffs attitude was great and good first business

I was there for a wedding weekend. The upgrades that were done to the property are so nice. Everything is clean.

The 2 front desk staff upon checking in and out were absolutely wonderful. Bob, the shuttle driver, was so nice. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the shuttle arrangement that was later corrected. But the female at the front desk at the time of the incident came out to the front of the inn as me and my daughter were sitting in the shuttle and stated to Bob in a very loud unprofessional tone "they need to get out the shuttle is not paid for". Again, that was not the time or place as we were not only dressed but in the wedding, and she literally embarrassed us for something that wasn't arranged by us. For that alone, we will not be staying there again.

Oh my goodness! This place is exceptional. Tastefully decorated. The room, a double queen suite was so comfy. It was just me traveling on a layover from Newark and a cancellation, but the bed that I slept in was the most comfortable. Fabulous pillows. Nice big screen tv. Beautiful bathroom, again tastefully decorated. Hats off to the clerk at 5:00 a.m. I fell into low blood sugar and she was wonderful enough to bring me some orange juice and a granola bar. I don't know a lot of hotels that would do that. I highly recommend The Kenilworth. A relaxing and quiet stay. Breakfast was hot also. Scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes. Breads. Juices. Coffees. Awesome coffee. Go. Stay here! You won't be disappointed.

My room was at the very end of the hall, 20 rooms down. I'm a bit disabled, but it was my fault for not requesting something closer.

No complaints on our stay here!!!. The 2 front desk staff members we dealt with were both extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. The lobby was spacious. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked great, and the water was nice and hot. The hotel was generally quiet and paid for a Lyft since that day shuttle was out of service, the hotel offers also a complimentary hot breakfast with coffee, scrambled eggs, bread, sausages, and juices, not too much variety but was hot and clean. Kenilworth Hotel is an old one, but the renovations give such a classy feel with affordable rates and convenient locations close to Newark International Airport and not too far from the Cape Liberty Cruise Port and a supermarket just across the street is a plus.

I have no negative thoughts to say about my stay.

1. The housekeepers were exceptional 👌🏼. 2. The room was amazing and got everything we needed. 3. The location is simply the best 👌🏼. 4. They snacks for the house, morning coffee ☕️, hot chocolate 🍫 and the amazing muffins 😋 and many more. 5. The gym 🏋️‍♀️ 6. The safety (security) 7. The structure of the building and the environment are really good 👍🏼. 8. The gentle man who always smiles and lightens up the waiting room.

1. The staff on the reception desk sometimes act as if they are forced to come to work. (I think they should be more friendly and not frowning).

The Kenilworth Hotel, Kenilworth NJ is a true sample of excellent hospitality. Very nice view, very quiet Extremely clean & comfortable .The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, lots food varieties, I would like to thank the staff for the professional way and nice attitude special thank you to the front desk representatives ,they were very helpful and cooperative, and showed nothing but kindness, Ms.Akeema,Mr.Anizio and Mr.Ibraheem were awesome, they went above and beyond. They did everything possible to make my staying comfortable. Everywhere you go in the hotel you will be welcomed by the staff. .Thanks again Kenilworth Hotel, for having such wonderful staff as part of your team. I highly recommend this place . Hotel is tucked away. Room was nice and spacious. Nice ambiance and the complimentary breakfast and cookies were a good addition.

The person checking me in never told me about the breakfast or where to get the wifi info but made sure I knew the checkout time. Also the giuest around me were loud in the hall. Door constantly slamming til after 2 am. Every time I dozed off I was awakened by someone knocking on the door across from me and the door slamming. I was finally able to get some sleep in the comfortable king bed.

While they were very strict about checkout time, there were multiple comfortable places to hangout in the hotel and read or get some work done while we waited some hours for our flight, including a desk and multiple couches tucked in various corners. Way better than waiting in the airport. Comfortable beds. Coffee was good. Shuttle was useful and accommodating.

There was hair in the bathtub drain, but otherwise seemed clean. Breakfast was coffee and packaged nutri-grain bars, muffin, ok streudel. It probably mentions “continental breakfast” somewhere, in which case, that’s to be expected. I just missed it.

We needed to quickly find a new hotel for a wedding we were attending because our initial booking at another location was unsatisfactory. The wedding party had recommended Kenilworth, but we chose a different place due to the price, which turned out to be a mistake. We arrived at Kenilworth before check-in and had to wait in our car until the room was ready. Once inside, the room was exactly as expected—clean and lovely. I recommend spending a bit more for a better experience; it's better to be safe than sorry.
