The gentleman at the desk at night was amazing, very helpful. I love the fact that they gave us a key to the door of the room and not a swipe card. It's very tranquil and nostalgic. We are already planning to stay there on our next trip in December. The patio furniture outside the door of the room was a nice touch.Great to have a morning cup of coffee or tea.

There was nothing that I did not like about staying at the Chalet Inns and Suites.

The staff was incredible. Very friendly and responsive. I chatted with Mr. Oates and he was very helpful showing me the eagles nest location. The two morning ladies that I met were also very sweet. I’m sorry I didn’t get their names.

I didn’t have any problems with the property. It was perfect for my needs.

I think we had a kind of sand flea that was biting the shit out of our legs. The hotel immediately provided us with an ant spray, which we used to spray on the carpet. It was very unpleasant, so we left for an hour, and when we came back, the problem was resolved.

Staff was very friendly and eager to help. It was a comfortable stay and great value given the location. We needed a place to stay for a night while attending a local wedding and this was perfect.

We knew going in that the property is older, which was reflected in the room price.

The appearance was very nice, the rooms were nice but needed to be lightened up just a little. Lighter shade of paint would be enough. Clean and comfortable.

As I said earlier, just needed to be a little lighter on the inside. lighter coat of paint.

Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were in town for a high school reunion and the Chalet was the closest and most convenient motel.

The parking lot needs serious resurfacing! Also the absence of any work surface like a desk or something similar made it very difficult to check email or do anything else on the computer. The overall 60s-70s vibe of the Chalet may not appeal to some folks but was fine with us.

It was a pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly and professional.

The style had a charming cottage-like appearance with a rustic, country feel.

The hotel was in a great location and I liked that it had character and seemed more interesting at most hotels I stay at. It was very comfortable and I would come back again!

Overall, I though this hotel was really great. The only thing was I wished my room had a microwave, as I did have food with me that needed to be heated.

It’s charming going back up the days of real keys and door knobs, without the electronics. The location is superb on the north shore of Long Island. The room was extremely clean.

Lack of outlets on the nightstands for phone charging. TV went out after a very heavy rain storm.
