It was so cozy and quaint, and I loved how detailed and thought out everything was. I loved the hummingbird room I was in and the private bath.

The location/town itself was a bit hard to get to without a car, but that isn't necessarily a gripe about the establishment itself.

The house was beautiful. The rooms were large. The ceilings were high. The furnishings were charming. I particularly liked the landscaping. It was beautiful. The town was quaint. We found several good restaurants just a short walk down the block.

The mattress in our room was terrible. It was very uncomfortable and sunk down in the middle. My husband ended up with quite a back ache.

We wanted to stay in Beacon, but everything was sold out. We ended up happy to stay at the Borland House, because it's a charming bed & breakfast, and only a 20 minute drive to Beacon. Montgomery is a quaint town, with friendly people. We stayed in the Harlan room, it was spacious, warm, and the bed was comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast options were nice, food delicious, as was the coffee. The server was friendly, and took care of extra requests for coffee to go, etc. Parking was convenient, and we loved the no contact check-in service, with easy access to the B&B and our room.

I'd prefer a bathroom off the bedroom, but the bathroom was four steps away from our room, very close. The bathroom was spotless, but a bit chilly. Our floor was very quiet!

Good location in sleepy Hudson River Valley town. Quiet Bed & Breakfast room in well-maintained old house with comfy bed.

My room door did not lock. The town lacked quality dining options, but this is not a reflection of the property. I could not sample breakfast as it is only served after 9am and I had to leave before then, though the staff did provide some pastries in a box for me to take at checkout.

Nice traditional house with a beautiful backyard, very comfortable room, and eco-friendly structure (I found the solid version for shampoo, conditioner, etc quite interesting!) We had a rather late check-in but the hostess found the best solution to receive us. It is a very private structure, we really recommend it if you are looking for a quiet and calm place to stay.

The complete setting and interior decorating of the house was absolutely wonderful. Loved the fireplace in the bedroom and the organic soap experience in thw bathroom.

Some jazz or classical music on the background would have completed the atmosphere, and a blanket to sit comfortable and warm on the porch.

I was very happy with the room. Beautiful dining room with a lot of vintage decorations. Fantastic atmosphere. Very tasty breakfast included. I recommend that place to everybody! Good location to go hiking to Minnewaska State Park. (30 minutes driving)

Walk to restaurants. Quaint town... lots of parking. Antiques and history abound all around and especially inside the Borland House! Pamela and Anna were lovely and excellent cooks as well! Breakfast was homemade and exceptional.

Leaving was a bummer. Can't say there was anything I didn't like

‘Isabella ‘ provided a inviting and comfortable room, bed and bathroom. In the evening Thursday there was a town music event from the ‘ gazebo ‘ across the street that could be enjoyed from the front lawn garden seating. Also. Larry was so helpful, informative and very friendly. Another person who is a must to meet is the CHEF whose scones were a must order and throughly enjoyed. Thank You Anna and Borland Inn.

Maybe some area reading information or some magazines to enjoy on the porch or in the back garden. That a continental breakfast was not included but food was available through a meal plan.

I liked the quaintness of the property , and that you could walk into town. Also staying in a place that was so old and kept up so well was a bonus. Breakfast was excellent!

It was very difficult to figure out how to get in. Reading my e mail was fine but it was difficult to find our room. There was a person who was staying there and she helped us navigate. Breakfast was at 9 and there wasn't a person in sight. Finally he showed up at 9:10
