The location is perfect in the theater district. Anywhere you'd need to get is within walking distance. For the price and location it's pretty great.

Not necessarily a "dislike" but the rooms are very small. Perfect if you're looking for just a place to rest at the end of the day.

The location was ideal, next to Bryant Park near times square and subways, used the take out deli next door good selection to choose from .

This was the 2nd time we have stayed here,although shower rooms was shared it has never been a problem,friendly staff and reception was excellent nothing was to much trouble cleaner's in everyday.

The Americana Inn is excellent.

The last day of the trip, I booked a hotel Supper 8 nearby the airport , but I was scammed by the receptionist, exaggerating the price, and the price did not match the reservation through you, and he canceled my reservation, which is one night, and currently I slept at the airport until tomorrow, the flight time.

The hotel is in the city center and it's super clean.

There was too much noise coming from the street during the night.

The staff is always great at this hotel, charming and helpful. The included continental breakfast was an unexpected bonus and is always a plus when traveling. The pastries and other food selections were good. However, it would be wonderful to have brewed coffee rather than instant coffee. Really makes a big difference to serious coffee drinkers.

It also would be great to have a reading lamp in the room. I did ask for one and, in the past, the staff has found one for me. This time there was an oversight, which was okay, since I really didn't need it for this stay. I think it would be great to have reading lamps, even inexpensive ones, in all rooms.

The value for the price is excellent. Location couldn't be better--really. The staff were wonderful. It's a very "European" hotel, so the front desk is ALWAYS staff by friendly, knowledgeable and helpful professionals. The maid service was impeccable and they were helpful and friendly as well. The A/C worked GREAT--which was absolutely essential for the time of year that I was staying, and there was a bit to eat in the morning along with coffee in the lobby. LOTS of TV stations to choose from too for times when you are in your room.

Having to get dressed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night was a bit of a pain, and the shower curtains were a bit short so the bathroom floors could end up wet, but there were 5 or so bathrooms for my floor which had 15 rooms, so there was always one available. There wasn't really any option for tea drinkers, though there was a microwave in the "kitchen" down the hall, so I used that. Overall, it was much better than I expected.

At first, we were concerned about the shared bathroom conditions. We shouldn't worry. Although they are shared, the ratio of bathroom to rooms is quite reasonable. Two or three bathrooms for each room. On top of that, they were always clean, with hot water and with soap and shampoo, if you need it. They also allowed me to receive mail and with no concerns. The staff was friendly and polite.

In one of the occasions, I didn't find toilet paper on the bathroom. But I went to another bathroom in the hall and it was served. Remember to check. Additionally, I don't use hair dryer, but in some of the bathrooms it was not working.

The location was great, near everything! But the entrance can be missed if you don’t look closely. This is a great Inn experience. Do not expect a hotel. The front desk was friendly and the cleaning guy is pretty much there all day long. My room and the shared bathroom were always emasculate when I came back in. He even helped me get in after locking myself out of my room. There is also an emergency phone in the hallway on every floor, so you never have to go downstairs for key help.

There were sirens every night, but that’s just NYC! My window was unlocked when I checked in, so make sure you lock it (good for smokers to go out on the emergency escape I guess).

location was outstanding. it was very clean — a rarity for older NY buildings. it was like a dorm room with twin beds and linoleum floors and shared bathrooms. But very clean.
