Breakfast was not overtly served. There were waters, coffee maker and cereal, granola bars as some mini muffins. We bought foods to supplement as going on a 10 mile hike in the locale!

A room could have a larger bed and no twin., from a couple’s perspective. This could make room for a larger sitting space. However, we mainly needed a place to sleep. We had a great night rest!

The breakfast snacks were great and unexpected… the coffee was really nice, the bed was comfortable the bathroom was clean and ok but needs some work. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The room walls became wet after the shower, need ventilation. I couldn’t get the tv to work, but it glowed through out the night!

Check in was difficult. There was no one in the office and we had to make 3 phone calls to finally be told to go next door at the ice cream place to get someone to check us in. Also, no A/C on an 80 degree day wasn't so much fun and the TV remote did not operate the TV so we couldn't watch.

The location was perfect, close to Alfred State University. Room was very clean and very comfortable. The heat was turned on previous to our arrival and checkin was super easy. It is a very cozy, quaint old school place to stay, so we loved it.

Road noise was a little much, but we all slept well.

As a vintage 6-unit roadside motor inn and burger / ice cream stand this hotel has been extensively renovated by its newest owners, who clearly take great pride in providing clean, comfortable accommodations for travelers and visitors to the area. The rooms are small by today's standards but they are super clean and entirely adequate. The recent renovations show great attention to modern detail with new bedding, placement of numerous electrical outlets, in-room wireless Internet access,, AC and thermostat controlled hydronic baseboard heat, private bathroom with a tub/shower combo, large flat-screen TV, satellite / cable channels, microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee maker. Frankly the rooms were cleaner, in better repair and more comfortable than some big name chain hotels I have stayed in that consider themselves 3 and 4 stars. We'll definitely stay there again during our next visit to family in the area.

The WiFi Internet was a little spotty which we were warned of during checkin but the owners are working on the problem including plans to replace the current cable Internet with fiber optic service, so this small annoyance will likely not be a problem for long.

What a little gem of a place to stay! Very clean and cute. The owners were super friendly and helpful. We definitely plan to return again!

The bathroom off the master bedroom (we were in the suite) had an issue with the shower head water pressure. It wasn't coming out fully.
