Quiet Rooms - Ranch style so no upstairs or down stairs neighbors/guests. Location, Location, Location - half-way between Lake George and Saratoga, minutes from Highway, grocery stores, minutes from restaurants and roadside ice-cream shoppes, Disc Golf at the town park 5 minutes away with a number of other course with in a 15 minute drive. State parks are close too. Friendly Helpful staff. Plenty of Parking, lots of green space and public sitting areas. Cozy room with Microwave, coffee, small refrigerator, sitting table with chairs - perfect set up for a weekend mixed with groceries and eating out locally. Great AC and comfortable beds. Park just outside of the room for convenient get up an go. Quiet rooms explained- I never heard a door shut (hotel or car) no Tv or people talking sounds - had a neighbor on either side of me that I never heard. Safe and secure - no real foot traffic or stores for .5 of a mile so zero activity - the people I saw were working or staying there. My second stay - in September 2024 - you can add great air flow though the room when cool enough to sleep with the windows open. If you want to support a small business, stay in a motel with classic feel that is convenient to the activities in this area - consider staying here. I will be stating here next summer during my visit to the area.

not much that I did not like; the structure of the facilities do not have the capability to offer you breakfast. There is not really any room for a pool.

The gentleman at check-in was very nice and answered all of my questions. He gave me directions to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and helpful hints to avoid traffic so we could get back to the motel. The SPAC is about 20-25 mins from the motel, which isn't bad for the area. The room was cozy, quiet, and very clean. In the room there was a menu for a local restaurant for breakfast items with reasonable prices. Location to the highway and gas stations was convenient. The beds were clean and made up nicely. The room overall was very nice for a last-minute motel reservation. (Pictures were taken after we unmade the beds.)

This adorable vintage roadside motel exceeded my expectations. We were greeted by the friendly proprietor who assisted me with information about great local dining at the Peppermill Family Restaurant and took time to recommend a special scenic drive for us. The room was so fresh and clean and equipped with comfortable beds, pristine linens and towels, and a sparkling bathroom. My mother said it felt like staying in grandmother's guest room for the night! This is what modern corporate hotels are missing; the feeling of being cared for like family. The love and care the owners put into the property is clearly evident and shines through in their hospitality to the weary traveler.

Classic Throw-Back Motel style property - no person above or below you - based upon my visit it looked like they try to book every other room so that no-one is next to you. It was so quiet I though that I had no neighbors but did as we all were packing the cars together - I did not hear them or their TV or AC. I felt completely safe and slept with the windows open as the recommendation of the owner for cool cross ventilation. Everything was clean - shower was hot - AC (used during a mid day) worked great. The empty mini fridge was in full use as several markets are within a 5 minute drive. The owner was so very friendly - offered me a bottle of water as a welcome. Check in was quick and easy no surprises - I mentioned the possibility of another couple joining me (but did not) he just said no problem and to let me know if this occurs. Perfect location for the events I was attending - Saratoga Performing Arts center was a 17 minute drive south; Morneau Rec Park Disc golf was 5 minutes away and Wild West Disc Golf Private was 17 miles drive north to the Lake George exit. The location is off a main road that quiets down after 10 pm or so. The Neon Lighted sign is a beacon to travelers and made finding the place at night very easy. I would stay there again in a minute -

The property and management met all of my expectations. They no longer clean your room daily (since Covid-19) unless you request this. To request a cleaning you simply put a hanger "please clean room" on your outside door knob.

I loved the greeting we got and the size of the room. The shower was amazing, and bed was fairly comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size, and it did have a feeling of motel from the 50's with wifi. Road noise was minimal and I did not hear the other guests.

I think you should invest in very fluffy towels. These were fine if you were in a gym, but you have such a great shower a nice fluffy towel would have been welcomed. They said in the beginning they would not enter the room. Which was a great way of saying no turn down service. No worries we just wanted fresh towels every day. I would of liked a bigger room clock.

We were just up in town to get a dog from a local rescue so wanted something easy and affordable and this was perfect. It was your classic roadside motel that you don't see much of anymore. The owners were very nice, check in and check out was simple. Rooms were clean and tidy.

The no 24 hour cancel option. The possibility of not being able to pick up that dog did exist and I had to travel over 4 hours to get there so had something happened I would not have made the trip and would have been out the money.

The owners, who live on premises & clean the rooms themselves, obviously work very hard and take great pride in their quaint motel. Their location just outside of Glens Falls & a short drive to Saratoga Springs or Lake George is ideal. We were surprised to be greeted at the office door by the owner, who handed me a bottle of water and went out to the car to give my husband a bottle as well. There’s even a small garden complete with hammocks to rest for a bit during busy sightseeing days. And the owners went far beyond expectations by bringing us wine and roses for our 30th Anniversary stay! Highly recommend the Sara Glen Motel!

Nothing we didn’t like….It’s a great value!

Loved the welcome and caring nature of the owner Sonny. Place was perfectly placed for our interest in horse racing and Lake George. Also there were many fine restaurants in the area including a restaurant The 1/2 Way Pub very close frequented by many locals, very pleasant people. Our Motel had a beautiful wild flower land behind the rooms & Sonny had big tubs of cilantro growing at every 2 doors of the rooms of his motel. Really reallying enjoyed this stay

There was nothing we didn't like

the owners were fantastic friendly and helpful at every turn. The bed and ac were great.Ac was quiet, unlike other motels and bed was very comfy.TV had more than channels than most others also.

Their was some minor glitches with room such as the towel rack loose and threshold to bathrooom also. if you're tall like me be aware of short shower door.

Location was very convenient, just south of Glens Falls on Rt 9. Could not hear any traffic from the room, we were there for a weekend and it was well occupied but still quiet. Bed was comfy, had fridge and microwave, ample towels, great shower pressure, simply but nicely decorated. Beautiful setting with trees and garden, very well kept and clean. No pool so no screaming kids! If you’re looking for an economical motel that is quiet, comfortable and pleasant, I highly recommend it!
