what a great find. the place was clean and safe. parking was easy, as there is a lot and if that is full the streets out front are safe, as this place is right in the heart of a neighborhood. the staff was very welcoming and friendly. all-in-all it was a very pleasant stay, and i would certainly return.

We were visiting family and this hotel was very close. We stayed in one of the 3 rooms at ground level, off the parking lot. It worked great for us as one of the travellers was elderly and stairs not the best option. We didn't have to do that. We also needed 2 beds and our room was split in 2 with the washroom in the middle. Each side had window air conditioner, a wall TV, Armour or dresser. My side was a single bed that also had another pullout single bed underneath should you need it. The other side had a queen bed. It worked well for 2 friends travelling together. Would request this room again. The restaurant was a highlight dinner. Excellent food, wine & service.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We only stayed two nights, the first room, the bed was super firm which I didn’t like. They went out of the way to put us in a different room, I was more comfortable. Both rooms were very clean and quiet. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood. The building itself is old and charming.

The first night was difficult due to the bed. The room was too warm, but the windows open for cool air.

Simple old school place. The room was very clean and linens fresh.

The afternoon staff was not very excited to see us, maybe having a bad day, and although she gave us our key and clear instructions, there wasn’t a cheerful smile or friendly welcome. Luckily later, and when we checked out. We met the owner and what a joy! She was the opposite and made us feel welcome and was so helpful!

Perfect location for a short stay on Long Island. Nice to have coffee pot and coffee in the room and also a refrigerator. The shower was good and the water hot. Reception was very responsive to our needs.

The window AC was very loud so we had to turn it off to sleep; the room was uncomfortably warm during the night. There is no lift so you must carry luggage up to your floor.

Very quiet and nice hotel . It’s right next to a park and at the end of a neighborhood . Lots of restaurants nearby and you can walk to some and only 10 mins from jones beach and amphitheater . Very convenient restaurant in the hotel too and the food looked great

Only downfall is there is no elevator so u have to be able to do stairs and carry your bags up them .

Parking lot was bigger than we expected, the place has a classy vintage (almost European) feel and the exterior and interior is kept impeccably clean. Wish I had had more time I would have tried the attached restaurant it looked very enticing. Staff is so friendly and personable this is a very unique hotel.

Because this is an old hotel, there is no elevator only stairs. This was fine for us but should be noted incase you need accommodations on the first floor because of this.

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Excellent location - right next to Cedar Creek Park which is nice for a morning jog and a short ride to Jones Beach. We had a suite which consisted of a very comfortable queen bed and pretty comfortable pull out futon. There was plenty of drawer space. Nice having a mini fridge and microwave too! The attached restaurant Toto's was a very pleasant surprise. We had delicious mussels, calamari and grilled asparagus.

We would recommend adding some hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels and having some tissues in the room would be nice.

The hotel is very quaint and quiet. The front desk workers were friendly and informative and it's location puts you near a large park and many bars and restaurants are right around the corner. I was lucky to get an upgrade to a suite, so I gotta say, I dig this place! Feels like a home away from home.

Location is wonderful for a parent with small children. Safe and next to a popular town park. We really like the old fashioned feel to the small hotel with the pay phone and old fashioned television. The bathroom in the suit was perfectly clean as was the bedroom and the rest of the room.

Not all of the electrical outlets worked but I found one that did for making coffee. The top freezer door was glued shut so couldnt put items in the freezer but the fridge worked excellently. The suite is lovely with a full kitchen, but disappointed there was no silverware or glassware or cooking pots (necessary when traveling with fussy eaters), so would need to bring that if I book again.
