Absolutely a dream. I am so happy I took the chance of staying on the Bay Side of the island. The Inn on Pamlico Sound is an absolute treasure, I felt almost like I was on another planet. The sky & the ocean were nearly the same color & I took break-taking photos! The breakfast, cookies, jacuzzi tub, bathrobes (we bought one to take home!), resort clothing (I bought two soft hoodies) the VIEW & staff were the highlights!

I would be advised it is a newlywed destination… the couple above us had a really fun night, thankfully my 17 year old son found it humorous. ;)

The breakfast was delicious, we did not have to add any seasoning to the food it was perfect. Our hostess Willow which we had both mornings was a wonderful, sweet, excellent person. We loved her personality, so much, she was so helpful and also the most beautiful smile.

Our hot tub in our room was not working, the last night we were there my husband figured out that the outlet had to be reset. We are on our honeymoon and that would have been wonderful to use.

The location of this place was incredible! Gorgeous views of the sound from the room and restaurant. There was a beautiful large deck, a small pool that would be perfect for floating, and a winding dock going out to the water. My husband and I stayed in the Sunflower room and it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was included (minus a $5 gratuity per person) and the food was divine. Each member of the staff was super friendly and we were always greeted with a smile. Fresh coffee was available in the common area every morning and fresh cookies were available every afternoon. There was a theater room and a huge selection of movies to choose from if you’d like. The Inn has a selection of bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, etc. for guests to use for free whenever they’d like. Unfortunately the weather was too cold and windy for us to take advantage of these, but maybe next time! Overall, this place felt so much more personal and relaxing than a “regular” hotel and it was a refreshing break in the least touristy part of the OBX.

The stay overall was lovely, but our room shared a wall with the restaurant. Noise from the staff and diners was easily heard through the walls relatively early before the breakfast started, as well as relatively late after dinner hours. There was nothing that could be done about this, unfortunately… Another minor complaint was that drain stopper in the tub in our room was leaky so I was unable to use the jet tub to take a bath. I did not mention this to any of the staff, because it seemed silly to complain about something like that.

the property was very clean, beautiful spot! the cafe staff were very professional and knowledgeable, the food was exquisite! they gave my girlfriend a cake slice on the house. the waiter was perfect on when to check on us and was very friendly. checking in or out was very simple and convenient.

what I didn’t like about the property was that there wasn’t an actual sandy beach access. the parking lot was very tight squeeze. the pool wasn’t heated, not sure if they heat it ever but would have been nice. only was to access bar was at the cafe and you would need reservations. the complimentary bikes could use some WD40 on chains. initially when I arrived the staff didn’t seem too welcoming but later on did make up for it. coffee in morning ran out very fast an extra container with coffee would have been nice.

I’ve chosen this hotel because of its view and location, and I promise you it wont disappoint you. The location is just wonderful. The building is very nice and well distributed, fitting perfectly into the landscape. The rooms are very nicely decorated, with a contemporary beach vibe. The bathroom could use sone renovation, but all in all it was good. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and boh were amazing. Best breakfast I’ve had in the USA during my 14 days road-trip.

Although we booked a room for three, they only prepared it for two people. We only noticed it when we entered the room, cause there was just one king bed and the bed-sofa was closed (as well as the third set of towels was missing). So we went and tell so at the reception, and their first reaction was yo tell us that we could open the bed-sofa ourselves and use the bedsheets left in the closet… we had to insist for them to do it, which I find ridiculous, since we booked and payed for three people. Cleaning was ok, but could have been better. Service at the restaurant is not the fastest: slow for the USA standards, but still totally normal for the European standards. It was fine for me, I enjoy taking my time while on holidays… but if you are in a rush just have this in mind.

The room was comfortable and inviting with a nice view. I liked there was a connection to the restaurant without having to go outside. Really liked the duel headed shower idea.

The front of the place gave the impression of a low rated inn. It caused us to feel unsure about the place. But the inside was cozy. Lastly, the main light in our room didn’t turn on

Great restaurant where staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the Shrimp and grits and soups. Our first experience of Outer Banks and we weren’t disappointed. Location for exploring excellent. Panoramic views of Sound at sunset. Enjoyed Wright Brothers Park and Duck.

The property was right on the Sound, which was lovely. It seems to be a gathering place as they had live entertainment in the evening. The cafe was a real convenience with breakfast complementary. Pool available.

Everything was fine

The view of the sound, the boardwalk, deck and firepit. Great breakfast included. The restaurant at the inn was perfect after a long drive. Food was delicious. Yoga on the patio and a very cute outdoor pool.

A little room refresh would go a long way in this very cute inn.

Lovely room with beautiful view. Great attention to detail. Friendly accommodating staff. Awesome dining option on the property with delicious meals. We will definitely return!
