This was a beautiful inn but we were not there long enough to stop in at the front of the inn or the coffee shop. The room was clean. Use of the digital keypad made it easy to not have to keep track of a key or keycard.

The room was smaller than we had expected for the price. The small refrigerator was noisy and kept us up the first night. For the second night we unplugged it so we wouldn't hear it running the whole time. We didn't mention any of this as we were not staying more than the two nights. The night we checked in we were happy to get in through the digital keypad except it apparently ran out of batteries so it was not locking properly. This was fixed the next morning when someone came and replaced the batteries.

Not sure how to write this. I gave them 5 stars because the things I didn't like, they would have little control over. It's an incredibly unique space/layout. The owners strive to keep things quite after hours by simply reminding their guest others are around. Which as a solo traveler wanting early sleep and rest for the next days busy travel schedule. Completely an in/out online check in system, again with the help of booking.com. The rooms are clean, beautifully decoration, and offer all the things you might want. Fridge, microwave, hair dryer, complementary snack tray, and bottled water. Each room has a mini split ac/heat unit that is quiet and easy to operate. The rooms are only blocks away from the scenic Washington waterfront and Marina. Food, drink and bars are an easy walking distance. For an added treat travel by car about 10 miles and take the free ferry across the Pamlico River and loop back around to Washington. Free parking in a seemingly safe lot directly behind the inn. All in all they do a wonderful job giving you a clean and mostly quiet room. See below for what's not so quiet. I would stay again

When upstairs guests flushed the toilet the water rushing down the pipes could easily wake the dead in the unit below. The room view for me in the goosecreek room was the neighbors mechanical systems. That always had a smell of a natural gas leak. You don't get great views from many of the rooms, but I never felt I was missing out, because I never looked out the window anyway.

the location is excellent, easy walking distance to restaurants and the riverfront. The room itself is very nice, very clean, new, with a very nicely appointed bathroom

I was disappointed to discover that this inn is not really a hotel, but more like a motel, in that all rooms were accessed by an outside corridor which is very dark because it is sandwiched between the inn and the adjacent building. As a result, like a motel, we could not open the window or blinds because people could be walking by in close proximity. And there was no outdoor view. There was also no interior lobby or shared indoor space. I am troubled that the images of the rooms posted to the website are slightly deceptive, seeming to show light pouring in from windows with an outdoor view.

The Inn is well located right on Main Street, very close to the best restaurants in town. It’s small but comfortable, with convenient parking in back. Our room next to the street, so privacy and noise was a small issue.

It’s remote checkin, no person to greet you on arrival. They only provided coffee for one night (we stayed two) and only powered creamer. The two complementary waters were in tiny bottles. The towels were underwhelming. Internet was spotty.

The room was very clean and close to everything.

I would have liked a sink to fill water bottles or a common use water cooler in the breezeway. I’m really not a fan of using the bathroom sink, to rinse drinking cups or fill water bottles. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful except for the African-American woman. I requested something from her on 2 occasions and both times she was extremely nasty and condescending. If she is still employed with your hotel when we come back to Washington, North Carolina, I will definitely choose a different option for our stay.

Location near the river waterfront . The proximity to stores and restaurants . Easy electronic entry .

We were in the Pamlico room and the outside door from the street was very loud . It slammed when others came it and shook the whole room and startled us awake . There was a sign on it to close it softly so I imagine we were the first disturbed by it . We even forgot a few times coming and going to close it softly so can't expect everyone to remember . It could be remedied by a simple door closer. There wasn't that much in and out traffic through the door later in the night so we slept well later in the night. Pillows were too hard for me but my husband thought they were fine. I looked for an extra blanket and didn't find one . We never saw any staff during our visit but didn't really need any assistance so that was fine .

We loved Little Inn at Washington. Perfectly located in the middle of everything downtown. Appreciated being able to bring our 2 small dogs and there was a little grass right outside and lots of grass and a park abutting the water just a block over. Parking right in back. The check in woman was so helpful. When she learned by husband could not be there to check in due to family emergency, she helped me carry my items (including 1 dog!) upstairs. The current apartments do require going up 15+ stairs. The newer rooms about to open soon don't seem to require stairs, at least no the accommodations on the bottom floor. The apartment was spotless, very comfortable and everything was brand new. I would absolutely stay again if back in the Washington area.

Be prepared to stay up a little later than normal, this was fine with us but know before you go. Saturday night entertainment in the bars carries lol! Fortunately, a very good band was playing close to the inn and we went down to check them out👍🏻

Location, homey feeling, great little place to stay right in the middle of Washington!

Only issue we had was we stayed in room 101, blackout curtains on the street windows would have been nice to shut out all the street light at night and even though it said soundproof walls you could hear even tvs and music playing in other rooms.

We stayed in the Pamlico room probably one of the best rooms. This room is one of the best we have ever used. If we could give it higher rating we would. Perfect room in a perfect location.
