We loved how the hotel is settled in this adorable town where everything is in just walking distance. The view with the lake & bridge was beautiful. & the rooms were clean, large, & the staff was kind.

The tv doesn’t allow you to put in a fire stick, & it was a little tricky to figure out how to stream on our phones to the tv. They do have movies you can purchase but some of them are free on the streaming sites. We did figure it out & it wasn’t a huge deal in the end. Other than that no complaints!!

The location was excellent. Very easy to get to and within walking distance to shopping, bars, and restaurants. The hotel is upscale and the decorations throughout tie into the steel and coal industries, as well as the railroad. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Water pressure was superb in the shower, and the towels were very plush and soft. The room was very quiet. It felt like we were the only ones in the hotel. We had a beautiful view of the Ashtabula River and drawbridge. The rooftop bar was not quite finished, but we could tell once complete it would be spectacular with wonderful views of the historic town. The room had an ample amount of outlets as well as USB ports.

The hotel is still in the process of fully opening. Because of this, the advertised free breakfast is unavailable until an "all clear" can be issued from the health inspector. The back door to the upper parking lot entrance was not working with the key card.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. It is a little ways off the freeway but well worth the detour. Friendly staff both front desk as well as in the bar. I think this would be an ideal place to stay for a get away weekend. I wish I had more time to walk around the area

I ordered a pot pie for dinner. The crust was good but it was very dry inside. It needed more gravy. But everything else was wonderful

Breakfast was amazing- love selection and layout!! It made self-serve very easy. Rooms very nice & clean- comforts of home. View's were awesome & the little chocolate shop around the corner was amazing. Loved that it was conveniently located near several restaurants.

Can honestly say there was nothing that we did not enjoy with our stay.

Nice location walking distance to everything.Very pleasant stuff. Clean and comfortable. If you are staying in the Ashtabula area I highly recommend staying at River Bend.

We have stayed at River bend on multiple occasions, this last stay was on the 4th floor, the floor above was so noisy it made it difficult to relax /sleep.The noise finally stopped around 11:30pm but picked right back up at around 8:00am.

I paid $185 for a room with Riverview, room number 117 (purportedly chosen by Booking.com)The room faced the river but was on the ground level with a transformer straight in front and a parking lot. Passers by could see straight into the room. De facto no river view. A refund would be in order.

The room was wonderful, it was spacious and clean. The bathroom was very pristine! Great location. Easy parking lot behind hotel. Beautiful views from the bar area. Staff was friendly, especially the lady running the bar.

There was nothing we did not like about this hotel!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was kind the manager was a jerk he would not allow a one night booking through the hotel number and then would not speak to me regarding my booking

The parking is awful, I had to park far away from the hotel

The Ashtabula Harbor area was fascinating and completely visible from the hotel. It is the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed in. The mattress was even more comfortable than mine at home in Connecticut.

Beautiful new hotel with large rooms, nice top floor bar/breakfast area with view of the historic waterfront and quite a nice breakfast served. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Small area with good restaurants and shops just a few steps away.
