I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself was very clean, including the room. The kitchenette was so convenient, with 2 burners and a microwave - although the burners are a bit small. The full-size fridge and freezer really helped! There is enough counter space to prepare a small meal. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic, and the shower was roomy. The shampoo, etc., was really nice—light — not too strong-scented like some places. I traveled with my cat and it was great - there was a large space under the bathroom counter for a litter box. There is a large TV and a comfortable chair. There is a desk and desk chair with ample space for working. The coffee at the front desk is really decent, even without adding anything.

The shower curtain was pretty flimsy and I spilled a ton of water without realizing it. The in-room coffee was absolutely worthless. It tasted terrible and I dumped it right away. The bed wasn't very comfortable - pretty hard. I like having 3 pillows, though. The items for sale in the little front desk store could be a bit more balanced - there was an abundance of junk food and most items were too expensive, but that is to be expected.

I booked a last minute stay and was very pleasantly surprised! I really wasn't expecting much and had never heard of My Place. I arrived around midnight, after a 4 hours drive, and they let us in (lobby doors are locked but accessible by lobby phone). The receptionist quickly checked us in and up to the room we went. Room/Kitchen/Bathroom were modern, functional, and IMMACULATE. Eyebrows up! My first thought checking out the bathroom was that 'I would feel comfortable taking a bath here' (have never said that about a hotel before-ever). Fridge and microwave were clean. Blackout blinds, adjoining rooms, and it was QUIET. I love that they didn't let not having a hotel restaurant hold them back from providing room service too! It shows the thought that they put into providing a great service to travelers and thinking outside of the box. There is a little hotel convenience store in the lobby - Would you like a Jimmy Dean Breakfast sandwich and fruit? Please, let us warm it up and bring it to you! They have a menu in the room of the offerings. I have a reputation of being 'picky', but I really cant say enough great things about the hotel and staff. The location isn't spectacular but not bad either - it depends on your needs. The parking lot is well lit and secure. Close to the freeway and we were able to get to the little downtown area in 10 mins. Overall value 10++ Affordable + Quality shouldn't be as difficult as it seems to be to attain these days - My Place....you nailed it!

We got the 1 bed with recliner and were very pleased with the accommodations! Sparkling clean, lots of room to walk the dog, WiFi was great for working remotely and all for a good price. Neighborhood was quiet and safe, front desk staff were all kind and accommodating!

They didn’t have a free breakfast although food was available for purchase. Honestly, I thought this was a great place to stay with pets and I tried it out because of the high ratings and the good price! I was NOT disappointed!!!!

Very spacious, clean and modern room and bathroom! Felt very new and fresh. Room and bathroom were well lit and the bed was very comfortable. The housekeeping staff was super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

My room came with a kitchenette and two hot plates, however no pots, pans, utensils or any other kitchen items. So if you want to use the kitchen you have to bring everything else yourself, apparently. However, they did provide dish soap and towels for cleaning the dishes I didn't have :D

This place is awesome!! I was expecting another “roach motel” but the room was super nice, and the full size fridge was unexpected! Everyone at the desk was very nice, also. Free coffee! And snacks available!

The guy in the room next to me kept slamming the door, and slamming the dresser drawers at odd hours. It was disturbing my sleep. This is absolutely NOT a complaint about the hotel itself or the staff. But, the question was “what didn’t you like”

We went to a concert and came back late, the property was well lit and felt safe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were people mopping and dusting, our room was very clean and the bed was so cozy, the room was spacious and high on function. Even the AC was quiet!

There isn’t any “character “. No color or art to be found but I would take function over character when trying to have a good night’s sleep and getting ready to enjoy my trip.

Everything was clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and helpful.

My only concern was that there was a car break-in during my stay. The property does have some security cameras outside, but either the thieves knew where the cameras were or got lucky.

Nice, newer and clean room. Comfortable bed. Full kitchen in the room. 9 minutes from Edgefield.

Very close to the highway and constant traffic noise. Homeless people and garbage in the field nearby. I was told twice I could do late checkout but the front desk person CAME TO MY DOOR and asked if I was leaving even after we called the front desk and told them we were doing noon checkout. No breakfast or pool or workout facilities. Staff was in training and couldn't answer some questions and didn't activate my key the first time. No pet area.

Safe and clean with free parking

One of the rooms #402 our family booked (we booked 2) had a bad smelly carpet. Just concluding that it may be because of pets. I suggest that the rooms with pets will have no carpets/ or not carpeted to avoid foul smells that may have lingered from previous customers. Or steam clean and vacuum well the carpet. The other room was fine.

Staff was nice and had a crib for our littlest one all set up before we got there! Room had kitchenette with stove burners and a nice big refrigerator! Room was clean. The sound traveled between floors easily, we got called for a noise complaint from the kids just getting off beds to grab food and use the bathroom.
