Booking was super easy. Rooms were very clean. Very, very roomy accommodations with good $$value. Expectations were exceeded. Amenities were nicely planned. Pool was perfect -good temperature. Bathroom in the pool area is nice. Kids really liked the sprinklers! Love the location. Convenient. And fun views of Altoona town in action out our room windows.

Fresh fruit, orange juice and apple juice are favorites for breakfast bar -but were not available. More soap and shampoos-- without asking-- would have been better. (Original amount placed in the room was very inadequate.) Sofa bed was not very comfortable. Had to ask for blanket for sofa bed.

All the staff was WONDERFUL, Especially the 3 ladies 2 started with names starting in J I'm pretty sure 1 lady named Pam & one gentleman who helped me in the late afternoon/ evening all who work at Reception! They were considerate, thoughtful, and most helpful! Also, the gentleman who brought me towels & an extra sheet, was SO POLITE and thoughtful. The room we were in was very pretty and exactly what we requested. Price was reasonable. Bed was VERY comfortable

2 nights, Our neighbors we pretty noisy at night.( 2nd floor). But not all night. It didn't get so bad. We didnt complain

Breakfast was usual scrambled eggs, sausages, toast, bagels with cream cheese, tea, coffee, milk, juice, jogurt, etc. It was good, we filled up well. There was planty of room to sit down and eat in the modern eating area. There was a bar for those who wanted to drink at night. Lots of free parking space. The area is not so inviting, but it seemed safe. The view from the hill is quite nice. We visited the famous Horseshoe Curve, well that was something! The view from the hill top and the trains were awesome!

The area where the hotel was built (brand new hotel) is not the best part of the city, but it seemed that some sort of renovation was going on in the area. We took a walk to the cathedral up the hill, encountered some weird people, but nothing happened.

Everything was clean and comfortable

The shower was less than hot. The description of the room I booked did not match the room I was given. I booked a room with a cooktop and washer/dryer. My room did not have those things but my aunts did and she did not book a room with those amenities. But we had been there 2 days before she arrived.

Incredible stay. Room far exceeded our expectations. Laundry facilities were available which was so helpful and very inexpensive. Hope to stay here again!

The only thing that was disappointing was that they were out of waffle mix at breakfast. They smelled so good we were looking forward to indulging.

We always enjoy this particular Wingate when visiting family in Pennsylvania. We love getting a two-room suite so we can all visit comfortably. We drive our EV on this trip, and the Wingate has two (non-Tesla) chargers. Luckily we were able to get hooked up our first night, because it took most of the weekend to charge our car sufficiently to head back home. Most of the chargers in this area are for Tesla, so being able to charge was very important to us.

I loved literally everything. The bed was comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean and well taken care of. The staff was very helpful and checked me in and out quickly. It was the perfect hotel experience l.

I would have liked breakfast too be served a little later, but it's not a huge deal.

We decided at the last minute to go to a volleyball tournament at State College. Rooms there were too pricey, so I looked at hotels in Altoona. I saw reviews of this hotel so I booked it. It didn't disappoint. The price of the room was more than half the price and it was really clean.

The room was exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable; the pool was awesome and heated for nighttime swimming. Conveniently located to the beach, shopping, and many different types of restaurants. The staff was welcoming and accommodating.

There was some inconsistency with the elevator working properly, and the water in the shower could have been warmer. It would be nice to have a couple of chairs outside the rooms for early morning/nighttime sitting.

Rooms was nice, good size

Would have been nice with an outside area connected to the hotel, an indoor pool is a bit boring when the summer weather is amazing. Breakfast was not something to brag about, very sugar heavy.
