We were more than pleased with our room and its cleanliness. There were ample towels, an iron and ironing board available, also more than enough USB ports for our devices. The room was very spacious with a bedroom as well as a lounge/office area. The TV could be swiveled so that it could be viewed from either space. The breakfast provided included a large variety of options. This was one of the best breakfast offerings that we have experienced.

The only drawback to our stay was that the air conditioner in the lobby area did not seem to be working. It was not a pleasant feeling to walk into a stuffy lobby upon our arrival at the property. The breakfast area was also located in the same area, so the level of comfort was less that ideal. We realize that we arrived on a weekend and this problem may not have been easily solved in a day or two.

It was so quiet that at night I could even hear my own breathing! The breakfast was great, the best I’ve had in the United States. If you’re used to hotels with thin walls where you can hear your neighbor walking around and a breakfast with just pre-made items, this hotel is completely different! Every time I come back to Charleston, I will definitely stay at this hotel! I can’t recommend this hotel enough! If you’re unsure, just book this one!

Cost of ice cream at lobby marketplace. Indoor warm pool. I could close/open the room doors very quietly. Lots of lamps and great lighting. Luggage foldable rack/table in closet. All the 10 plus fixings for oatmeal/eggs at breakfast. Stair case doors open to hallways, new fire release magnetic system. Bright illuminated mirror at vanity. Very large mirror, well illuminated to view attire/etc. Multiple TVs playing multiple channels in lobby, at least at breakfast.

Not necessary dislike, but recommend. Sell milk cartons at lobby market place, outside breakfast hours. They are just across lobby in locked fridge at breakfast bar. Lots of cigarette butts outside. Place some butt receptacles near exits, or pick up every once and a while. Posted as a smoker. I know, non smoking campus, . . . but, ... I pick up all my butts. lol Lamp switches hard to find on lamps. Room refrigerator doesn't run constantly. Not cold enough. Had to keep pushing "quick cool" button when in room. It's a cool box, not a fridge. Sad for a Marriot. I know energy and all, but come on. You could indicate fridge off on arrival, guest turn on upon arrival, have housekeeping turn off on departure, or some similar system.

Everything was great (food, room, pool, location and so much ) there one lady at the front desk that was very sweet, friendly and nice at all times loved her pleasant sweet personality with her customers. She was a little short, black and had disabled right arm but seems to do her job quite well.

Not too happy that the pool was closed down being that I had a child that wanted to used the pool while’s still staying there it was closed down for couple of days even the day I left. We did used it one day.

We got the two queen beds with a sofa bed. The room was more than spacious for our family of six. After pulling out the sofa bed, we still plenty of room to walk around and put our stuff. The room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel was quiet as well. We rested well here and will be going back if ever needing to rest again. Breakfast was good and parking was good. We checked in around 9pm and there was still plenty of parking. Many that were close or right in front of the entrance.

We were able to bring our grill and cook outside, the staff were always so welcoming and didn’t mind one bit that we had loud children. “As long as the kids had fun” was what most of them would say. Our rooms were always clean, beds made, fresh towels and such! This was our first family vacation and they made it wonderful!

I wish the pool was a big bigger, but usually when we would be there hardly anyone was swimming.

Location was good, close to a lot of restaurants and stores. We definitely felt safe. I had 2 rooms. Both were clean and very spacious. Hotel staff was pleasant and attentive, except for fixing an issue with the shade. I would stay there again.

One of my rooms had a problem with the shade. It was off track and we were afraid of breaking it. Kept having to call the maintenance guy up to lower the shade at night. It was reported but never fixed in the 4 days we were there.

The room was amazing. Lots of space, clean facilities and breakfast was exceptional. Really, the ladies taking care of the morning breakfast were doing and over the top job. The were taking care of every detail of the morning meal.

Only one complaint: the website for the hotel talks about the indoor pool, when we got there, we discovered it was closed. I don't believe that is truth in advertising.

Overall the hotel was fine and very good value compared to others in the area and downtown. Layout of room was efficient and spacious.

Traffic was congested in this area trying to get onto interstate each morning to drive to our sightseeing activities. Breakfast options were fine but the lobby area where you ate was very muggy each morning.

Sarah , the breakfast hostess was very kind and helpful. She went out of her way to assist us all 4 days we had breakfast there. She has the best personalty and represents the Marriott brand with pride and enthusiasm.

The toilet tissue was extremely uncomfortable, thin and see through. Definitely not brand worthy of a Martiott property. At night , there was noticeable smoking odors in the hallway..Ice machine was not working on 2nd or 3rd floors.
