The deluxe king suite exceeded our expectations. It is literally a full sized 1-bedroom apartment. It had everything, including a tv in both living room and bedroom, a huge brand new remodeled bathroom, a Toto bidet toilet (which I love), a huge kitchen and plenty of seating space. The hotel was very quiet, the walls were super thick so you could not hear anything. Overall I was very pleased with the comfort and quality of the hotel room.

This hotel does not have free parking and they advertise $45/day valet parking but there is literally a public parking lot across the street that charges $31/day or $2/hour as well as about 10 free no-permit required street parking spots along Alexander street - we parked every day on Alexander street and had no issues whatsoever. There is also no room service for drinks/foods from the bar which is not a deal breaker but unusual for such a fancy hotel. Other reviews mention the walk is far to main touristy areas, however I would disagree and say it is about 10 minutes to East bay st and king st walking, and just a couple minutes driving (most people drive in Charleston anyways).

The rooms were spectacular, no detail was left out. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. There is a bar with good drinks and selections. It also has a small café for breakfast items and coffee in the morning. I would say the only downfall is location. While there are lots of things around it, if you are looking to go into the true heart of downtown, you will need to take an Uber or drive. It's too far to walk, at least for us with 2 kids in tow.

The only parking is valet and it's $49 a night! I know parking is scarce , but that seems a little high compared to other places.

Loved the room, loved having the full kitchen and washer/dryer in the room.

There wasn’t a business center. And they really need some sort of all day place to eat. The cafe had very limited hours and not much of a selection. Would have been nice to have the usual breakfast buffet type setup. Then the rest of the day, offers regular bar food. There was also no “snack counter” to buy snacks from or any frozen meals from. So if it was 10:30pm & you were hungry, you were just out of luck. And there’s no “mini store” by the front counter. So if you needed Motrin, you couldn’t just run downstairs and purchase any- you’d have to use Instacart to order it.

We never ate breakfast at the hotel and did not know they offered it. The hotel was centrally located and walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Our suite was spectacular, the staff friendly and accommodating. Next time we come to Charleston, SC, we plan to stay here again. The hotel website doesn't do it justice. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Very happy we stayed here. :-)

Our stay was First Class accommodations as we stayed in a King Suite with a balcony. The room was extremely spacious, with a full kitchen, living room, King bedroom and bath, equipped with a washer and dryer. The bed was extremely comfortable. We absolutely loved the VIP treatment from all of the wonderful staff. Everyone was welcoming, kind, friendly, professional beginning when we pulled into the parking garage, valets, front desk, maintenance staff, cleaning staff and breakfast staff. The facilities were beautiful, clean, comfortable and an absolute pleasure. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

The room was incredible, so spacious and amazing facilities - wine fridge, fully equipped kitchen and laundry in unit that came in handy after a trip to the beach. It felt luxurious throughout the entire hotel. The gym facilities were great for a hotel gym and the hotel valet service was fantastic - so efficient and really nice staff. The hotel is in a great location for walking the whole city - close by to restaurants on King Street. Personal favourite was The Delaney Oyster House that was a 2 minute walk away !

The hotel bar / restaurant were quite limited but with ample restaurants and bars near by it was not issue.

We enjoyed the spacious, new, clean room. The kitchen was well stocked with a full size refrigerator. The gym was clean with new equipment. Nice bar on site with a small cafe for food onsite.

The decor was way too dark. We felt like we were in a cave. Kind of depressing. Would have loved a more Charleston feel with brighter or lighter colors. The entire room, molding and furnishing were an awful, dark gray taupe brown. Certainly not the feel of Charleston. When in Rome.....

In suite laundry and very clean spacious rooms w fabulous shower.

No on site coffee shop or cafe or even a store to buy snacks, fruit, yogurt or drinks. Apparently they are in the process of getting a new chef & menu for the cafe. They're only response when we expressed our concern was "we can bring you more Kurig cups and coffeemate". My daughter and I could not stop laughing at such an I adequate response! They could have given all guests prior notice and even given Starbucks cards at check in as a show of hospitality. For such a high quality place in all other respects, that was really surprising and disappointing.

the cafe and lounge were temporarily closed and there was no mention of this on the website. there were no food/snack options available

Lovely room with great amenities. The room exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back!

We were asked to listen to a presentation on their hotel/timeshare that lasted almost 3 hours. We were compensated for our time but we weren't expecting it to be so long and involved.
