My family and I had a wonderful time at Hampton Inn. Staff was truly amazing, Keisha was very helpful at the front desk and the personal at breakfast very kind. They even made more bacon for my son! We had a crib in our room, extra pillows for my son, we loved it. Very central, we took the DASH everywhere right in front of the hotel. We hope to come back and to the same place! Also, the pool was a life saver with the heat!

I think breakfast could have been a bit better. Some fresh fruit, more whole food options, real eggs (or the option to order an omelette or sunny side fried eggs) some avocados etc.

Great location. Breakfast was very nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The 24 hour hot tea and coffee was a bonus. The staff was very informative about the area and very nice. Loading and unloading our vehicle was very easy.

We had to pay $41 per day to park in the parking deck beside the location. The parking was great and I we felt safe parking there and walking to our vehicle put I do think that with the price of the rooms, the $41 charge was excessive for each day. Also when booking the room I was given a total amount for our stay and it did not include the parking fee.

Location & lovely personal exit to the courtyard from our first floor room. Both of these made the trip memorable. The lobby was clean and inviting, the front desk staff was very professional and helpful. Zero need for a car while visiting the city.

Cleanliness and in need of update. Carpet in our room was worn -- not horrible, but it could use either a very deep clean or replacement. Despite maid service, the bathroom floor was sticky during our three-night stay and on one occasion the sink wasn't touched while we were out. The beds were nicely made and the trash removed. We couldn't change the temperature in our room, which was too cold for us. By the time we went to bed it was comfortable, leading us to believe the thermostats are set by the hotel rather than by the guests.

The location was excellent and I could walk to restaurants each evening for dinner. Being here alone, that was very helpful as the area appeared very safe. I also liked the in/out privileges in the parking garage located there. I was given a plastic card that I scanned each time to get in and out of garage.

The hotel is old but Charleston restricts updates that can be performed. The staff at the check-in area were not friendly. They were very quick with their answers and seemed to be annoyed when I came to their counter with a question. I dealt with 3 different ladies there and their attitudes were all the same.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast offered a great variety, with plenty of options—including gluten-free choices, which was a huge plus for our group. The location was perfect, providing easy access to everywhere we needed to go. Given the quality of the experience, I believe this hotel offers incredible value for its price. An added bonus was the always-available hot chocolate and tea bar in the lobby, which made our stay even more cozy and welcoming.

It is well situated in the historic district across from the visitor center where they have free buses. The hotel has an outdoor pool (unheated) and offers a free breakfast.

The reception had no record of a modified reservation in my name made by booking.com even though I had prepaid via booking.com. Booking.com insisted that they had spoken to somebody at the Hampton Inn. Booking.com also claimed that they had modified my reservation from March to April at the same reasonable rate. I was forced to share a room with my sister. We soon learned that the daily rate doubled to $625 on the weekend. I asked for a refund from booking.com and they agreed but I am still waiting

there was a problem with the room the first nite.... and the GM made sure that it was taken care of the next day and offered a I nite refund. However, because the reservation was made and paid thru booking.com they needed to approve it.....She even offered to waive any hotel fees..... Booking.com never responded to her.

The hotel did their best to refund us but it has to come thru Booking. com. I have contacted them several times and responded to all of their questions. Still no refund and no further communications regarding the issue. I will never use booking.com again.

I especially liked the staff. They couldn't have been more helpful and considerate. The young lady who checked me in was particularly helpful. We also had 2 members of our party that got there early, and they were able to check them in which was SO appreciated! We also liked the pool which was very clean, and the housekeeping staff worked really hard to make sure our rooms were in excellent shape!

The only thing that could have been a little better is that I would have liked the balance to show up on my credit card a little sooner so I could pay off the bill.

Everything was wonderful. We truly have little to complain about if anything. The daily breakfast was a treat. The availability of coffee was great!! The location was fantastic as we could walk to almost everything we wanted to do. The staff was very friendly!! The service of making up our room daily was a wonderful surprise as that is not done any more in most places. I loved relaxing in the courtyard after a full day. There is really not anything of importance that we did not like.

We were in a first-floor room which we prefer but our window faced the entrance to the parking garage. Not much of a view and a little noisy but not too much. We were also right outside the staff room. Just a little noisy on occasion but not bad at all. There was really nothing that we would complain about.

Excellent location. We could walk anywhere in the historic district, plus the CARTA line was right across the street. The room was clean and comfortable, and custodial staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent restaurants nearby as well.

Breakfast was chaotic. The space was not large enough for all the guests on a busy Easter weekend. I had a completely ice-cold shower my first morning due to the large number of guests draining the hot water. This was the reason given to me by staff. The problem was fixed by the next morning, and I had no further issues. For the amount I paid for the room, I expected at least a warm shower!
