Location was great. Breakfast was really good and hot. Staff was very friendly.

The shower in our room was not as clean as I think it should have been. The back of it seemed to have been molded at one point and could not be fully cleaned. Noisy neighbors who did not care that they slammed the doors all evening. It would be so helpful if the doors had one of those close easy hinges on them. The room was small for a king size room. Been in other hotels and had a lot of room. The bed was too soft with the memory foam bed. I have had back surgery twice and just recent knee surgery and I had a hard time getting on and out of the bed. Had to literally hold on to the side of the mattress to pull myself out of the bed.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their face. Our room, the lobby, and pool area were spotless. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of home cooked and delicious options to choose from, and I just can’t say enough that the staff was exceptional. The location was fantastic. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby and the Isle of Palms beach was a straight shot.

The only bad I can think of is the refrigerator had a hum and the toilet handle had to be jiggled to make the water stop running. Neither being a big deal at all.

Everything!! We wish that we stayed more than one night and are excited to return for a much longer stay! The room was clean and spacious, breakfast was delicious and had more options than most. Alayne at the front desk was incredible!! She helped us have an amazing first time in Charleston! Her knowledge of the area is impressive and she helped our time be more enjoyable with restaurant and attraction recommendations. Thank you so much!

That we didn’t stay longer.

The hot breakfast, which they varied each day. The nice sized room with a separate bedroom for us. The kitchen suite, even though we ended up not cooking. The full-size fridge came in very handy. Friendly staff who were accommodating as able. Great location with some good food choices literally across the parking lot.

One dryer did not work. Thankfully, the front desk replaced all our lost coins. There was at least one group of families staying whose kids quite literally ran amuck, bumping into us in the hallway and creating a lot of noise. It would have been nice for a staff member to send them back to their parents when they disturbed other guests. However, the parents did usually reign them in before quiet hours, which was appreciated. The parking lot filled up, and we had to park in the strip center behind. Odd that their aren’t enough spaces for each room.

Location; standard room; check-in; breakfast and were very good.

Lobby and breakfast room flooring needs to be properly repaired. Unfortunately, the room AC blows directly on the bed ... an unfortunate design flaw. Friendliness of breakfast staff were inconsistent.

Beds were very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Great location with tons of shopping and restaurants very close.

Our door shut and locked with no problem but there was a small opening on the bottom half of the door that allowed us to see to the hallway. Other than that the room met all expectations and was a great value.

The location was good and it was clean.

Noise in from hall people going in and out at all times of the which I know they no control of people just wasn't a ideal room location in hotel. The toilet was very hard to flush and it was a handy cap room which I didn't ask for.

The location is very convenient, away from the main street but close to everything you might need. It only takes 10 min to get to Charleston as well. The hotel is well maintained, and the staff is great!

The breakfast could be better. We stayed 3 nights and the hot options were eggs and potatoes every day.

Overall great experience; nice warm customer service especially breakfast staff. Love the location being close to the town center and mall. Only complaint is the bathroom sink was clogged and not draining properly, we had to brush teeth and wash hands in the bath tub.

Staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast and wifi were fine. Maintenance went above and beyond making sure my heater worked well as there was an unusual cold spell while I stayed. All the receptionists were helpful in answering questions. The breakfast room ladies were super nice.

I do not like the housekeeping system that Hampton seems to have instituted. You must request any kind of cleaning in advance. It should be more automatic, at least every other day to empty the trash, etc. I presume this maybe has to do with problems of staffing. However, the room was perfectly clean when I arrived and the housekeeping staff is quite nice and readily provided toilet paper or anything else when asked.
