I booked a king suite if I’m not mistaken for my husband, 8 year old & 1 year old. We told them we were arriving around 12/1 am. They called to confirm and informed me they even put a crib in the room for us as requested. The room was very spacious; had a sink/microwave/fridge/safe in the room as well as two tvs. One tv was in the living room which was great for my daughters and my husband and I got to watch the tv in the bedroom. The staff was amazing (breakfast crew, maids, front desk). Everyone always wore smiles and even talking to the guests in passing added a pleasant and warm feeling to the atmosphere.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. The location is very close to a big mall and there are places to eat and gas stations very conveniently close by. You can even walk to a movie theater nearby. The hot breakfast was excellent with selection of hot or cold eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy as well as hot cinnamon rolls. Potatoes on certain days. Fruit was limited to bananas. There was coffee/tea in the lobby throughout the day, and also a bottle filling station at the water fountain. All entrances were cardkey-protected. There were plenty of outlets in the room, and shower/bathroom was equipped with soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion dispensers. Coffeemaker and micro+fridge in the room worked well. The HVAC also worked quite well.

There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Although the room had plenty of outlets, they were regular outlets not USB or USB-C outlets, so you still needed the adapter plugs. HVAC did not automatically switch between heat and cool modes, but that was a minor inconvenience.

Checking in the wee hours of the morning, the welcome desk was ready for us, and it didn't take long to get our keys. The police officer noticed that I had parked in the back of the hotel and watched the area as my family and I came in. We were much appreciated 👏 of him. We awoke late and went down to breakfast. The area was constantly cleaned, and though we came in about 9 am, they still had plenty of breakfast. The room did not smell musty or stinky. While we we were gone for breakfast, the cleaning maid came into our room and gave us fresh towels, took out the trash, and made our beds even though we did not ask. Nice of her.

Even though we didn't mind the cleaning lady to come in and bring in clean towels, straighten our beds, even though we had items on it, and take out the trash. We were not prepared for her to come in. I should have put up the do not disturb sign. Next time, I'll remember to do so.

Breakfast was good. The scrambled eggs were sitting in water, don't like that, but the pancakes were excellent and the omelets were decent.

The coffee was great, but I didn't like the one cup at a time, wait for the grinder. So I guess that's the trade off- quality vs convenience.

Central to restaurants, shopping, and various activities. Couldn’t hear neighbors. Great selection of breakfast foods (except needed a few different yogurt flavors). Nice staff. Lots of parking. Soft and firm pillows were comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. Provided Dove bath products (hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion). Hallways were nice and cool which was nice coming from the hot and humid Charleston weather.

A little difficult to get out of parking lot due to traffic. Bed was very high so I had a hard time getting into the bed (I’m 5’2”) and bed was very firm/hard. A/C didn’t get cool enough during the day. Room stayed humid feeling. Hallways were cooler than the room. A little too pricey for my budget.

Clean, very comfortable beds. Breakfast was very nice except the pancake machine was terrible and didn't work well. Waffle machine would be better. The 24 hour lobby coffee was great. Close to decent shopping mall and ample restaurants. Only 20 min to downtown Charleston. Would stay again

I liked the fact that the hotel clerk at the time refunded $2 to me after the vending machine on the 3rd floor took my $2 when I tried to get an orange fanta drink, which I was craving at the time. I also appreciate the fact that one of the staff members went out of his way and bought me an orange fanta drink. If my memory is correct, his name is Tyrone. He did not have to do that, but i was craving that drink. I also LOVE LOVE the fact that check in time is at 3:00 p.m. and check out time is at 12:00 noon. That allowed me more time to rest. Please don't change that because I will be staying at that Holiday Inn Express the next time I'm in Charleston.

The location was great. Anything and everything within walking distance or a short car ride. Also, drive to any of the beaches within 20 minutes and 15 minutes to downtown Charleston! The staff were courteous and helpful!

That we couldn’t stay longer

3rd night in a motel on our road trip to Florida from Maine. This one was the best!. Pleasant check in experience. Room was great! Separate comfortable seating area from bed with large TV. Tiny sink/ kitchenette with microwave and good sized fridge. Bathroom roomy with Great hot water/ pressure!! Bed comfortable with 4 body length pillows I loved 😍. Only complaint is although breakfast included was the best selection of the three motels , it was lukewarm. Had veggie omelet egg whites, waffles, turkey sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, cereals hot cinnamon rolls. Great selection!! Hubby and I will remember this one for next year. Plan on going back.

Over all the breakfast was very good. The pancakes need improvement and the coffee was a little strong. However, the cinnamon rolls and sausage made up for the experience. The lamps in the room need to be updated so you can charge your phones and the refrigerator needs a freezer portion. We had a wonderful stay and plan to stay again when we travel to Charleston.
