Beautiful hotel in the heart of Charleston. We loved that we could walk to King Street and the hotel has a complementary car service for rides should you need one. The room was lovely and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on in a hotel.

Generally speaking the service is was great. We had breakfast downstairs in the morning and once our food was delivered, we never saw our waiter again. That was very disappointing considering how expensive our breakfast was. It would have been nice to order another cup of coffee at least.

The Living Room / bar area was great for meeting friends before going out. The rooftop bar was very cool & super popular. I previously stayed at the Francis Marion across the square, and I felt like the Dewberry was a notch up in terms of overall ambience. First time a saw a clothes steamer in a room, which was great for me as my sportcoat, dress shirt & pants all got a bit wrinkled on the flight - and it worked amazingly to get the wrinkles out.

The fitness room was smaller than I'd hoped; limited equipment for resistance/strength training. I did not have time to check out the spa so I don't know if they had anything else up there.

Great location on Marion Square. Loved the design and decor of the room and public areas. Especially appreciated the staff, from the welcoming and friendly bell hops on arrival to the top notch service at check in, the lobby bar and the rooftop.

The size of the gym was a bit small. Bikes were always in use so didn’t get to use them.

Location was great & the citrus club on the rooftop was amazing for views & cocktails

There’s no sound proofing, it was a former federal building so not designed as a hotel & you can hear everything from next door, no soft close on the doors either so a lot of door banging early in the morning (we were staying mid week).

Only had coffee in the lobby

Citrus Room food was hit or miss: the Brussels sprouts were great, cocktails really good, but the smash burgers were quite dry, and we didn’t care for the buns either. The fries were a bit greasy and messy to eat. They ran out of ketchup too :(

The tables in the living room where we ate breakfast were a little weird; not conducive to eating. I wish the Citrus rooftop bar stayed open longer. That would be a great spot to go after dinner. Maybe restrict it to Dewberry guests only.

Not enough lobby level seating, and no restaurant. Revervations necessary for rooftop bar, because of insufficient seating there too.

Everything! there was nothing about the Dewberry that wasn't perfect, it made our honeymoon trip absolutely fantastic. Staff were nice, attentive, and the rooftop bar was absolutely lovely.

Nothing of note

The property was stunning. Every detail was well thought out. The rooms were spacious. The lobby area was beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and taken care of.

I traveled to Charleston for my partner and I's engagement and The Dewberry couldn't have made the trip any better. From the staff, the room, the car service, everything was splendid. I can't wait to return!
