The location of the hotel is excellent. It is very walkable to food and after hours activities. Our room was good, although the view was horrible rooftops and industrial buildings!

The breakfast was adequate. but with very little variety. Luckily I am not a big breakfast eater. It was adequate for the children in our group but was lacking for the adults. The parking for the hotel is ridiculous. The deck is a huge rip off and basically forced us to use the valet service. The valet attendants did a wonderful job and got the cars to us as quickly as possible. The access in front of the hotel was tight. It was quite disturbing to have two fire alarms on two different days of a three day stay. The pool was freezing. There really should be a heated pool option.

The employees are the best. They seemed genuinely happy to see us! This is our second time staying here and we will always stay here if there is availability. The breakfast is great and gives us one less thing to worry about. Beds are very comfortable. Housekeeping crews are very efficient and polite. The Ravenel Bridge Sunrise picture below was taken from our room. That was wonderful to wake up to every day!

I absolutely hate those sectional couches in the rooms! They are not comfortable and it hurt our backs to sit on them even for a little while. I also was disappointed that there weren’t more Christmas decorations. We finally saw a beautiful tree put up in the Lobby area the day we were leaving. (Three night/four day stay). I noticed the other Hotels in the area seemed to try to outdo each other with the decorations this year. At least we got to see that. This Hyatt is in a beautiful setting and could be made truly magical with the right Christmas decorations. I don’t understand why this wasn’t a priority.

Completely satisfied. Will recommend to Charleston visitors Not Hyatt's fault but getting there on a night 1/2 of King street was blocked was a challenge. We called Valet who guided us in. Tipped them

Location is ideal, right in the heart of downtown Charleston and easy walking to stores and restaurants. The room was clean and nice, and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good too, but has a relatively minimal selection. Also, we’d recommend the MESU restaurant at the hotel, their food was really good.

The cost for parking is high, though the parking garage is located at the hotel. It’s $2 per hour, but if you don’t leave the garage after 24 hours, it’s an $18 flat rate. So if you decide to take public transportation then you’ll save money there, but if you continue to drive out and then return, the cost for parking is nuts. Another comment is the television was old so there was no option to watch Netflix, Max, Amazon, etc. I thought that was weird. Lastly, the prices for dinners and drinks was a bit pricey, so consider taking advantage of Happy Hours when you can. We ate at MESU at the hotel and Mario’s Italian ristorante on King Street, both had excellent food!

There was fire alarm during the stay that was a false alarm. The hotel staff didn't announce over the speaker an all clear. The word was passed by other people staying in the building.

The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. Reception staff were friendly and helpful

Our was at the far end of the corridor backing onto a Uhaul garage. Very early in the morning we were woken by the vans reversing. The cleaning staff often omitted leaving coffee and on one occasion left no cups. On our last morning there was no hot water so we were unable to have a shower. It was rectified but too late for us.

The Valets for the parking service made the hotel, they were the heart and soul of the property. I know they are a subcontractor for the hotel but they seemed to genuinely care about our stay and got to know me and my wife by name.

Detail to room service, our room was a corner room so at the very end of the hall. We stayed 3 nights and every day there was forgotten things like, Toilet paper or tissues or even towels.

The location was great. Walking distance to great restaurants and shops. Spacious rooms, good fitness area and pool. Breakfast was great.

I felt the room rate was overpriced, but it was graduation weekend.The woman working at reception insisted that I didn't have a reservation. When I showed her my online check-in confirmation, she found it but was curt and didn't apologize. Other than that the staff was friendly and helpful.
