Perfect place for overnight stay. Perfect size room and balcony space too. The beds were extremely comfy and perfect for getting a newborn to sleep. Will definitely stay again. Don't pay attention to bad ratings from other people... make your own assumptions for yourself like I did.

My fiancee and I were looking for a "spur-of-the-moment"- vacation at a great price. After reading the reviews I was skeptical about booking but we decided to take a chance and we went. Im so glad that we did! If you are looking for a 5* hotel...this is not for you. It is a an older hotel. It does not have a spa or lazry river/waterpark. It could use some updating but there was nothing that would keep me from booking again. The suite that we had was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable!! The balcony was large ( sit 4 people comfortably). It was truly ocean front as it was descried. The bathroom floor has been updated but it still has the typical hotel carpet. The pool was small but it was very clean. The grounds were well kept and clean. It was a budget friendly hotel. Our room gave us an up close view of the firework show. It is walking distance to the amusement park. It would be a great hotel for families. You can also take your "fur'babies) which made it even better. IT WAS A GREAT MUCH NEEDED ESCAPE. I would definitely recommend it.

I loved my room! Clean, comfy bed, and a nice hot shower! The view was absolutely amazing from my private balcony! It's an old hotel so there's some chipped paint and wear and tear on the building but that's to be expected, I had an issue with the deadbolt lock on my door but the maintenance man came right up and fixed it, it was just stuck, no issues after that.. I really enjoyed my stay. Just remember you're getting what you pay for, but it's cheap, clean, friendly staff, and an amazing view right on the ocean! I definitely recommend staying here, but if you tend to be the Karen type maybe just book somewhere else cuz it's not fancy

The room was spacious with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The plus for the room is the open ocean front view with a balcony. My business meeting was at an exclusive first class resort hotel in North Myrtle Beach. As soon as the event ended we moved to our favorite hotel on the beach, Bar Harbor. No it isn't posh, but we come to the beach to enjoy the view and easy access to close by, walking distance attractions such as food and shopping and fun. And the price is great!

The employees at the front desk in general aren't overly friendly. But then we didn't choose a hotel to make friends. However a smile would be nice.

Beautiful View, very close beach access, area for my puppy to use the restroom with trash can for the waste, friendly staff, ample amount of new towels upon request, walking distance from the strip and other places to eat. Check in was super fast took me only a couple of minutes, the doors beep if you don’t shut them all the way to let you know. Will be coming back again!

No complaints! For the affordability compared to the other hotels this was great! If I had any issues management was very quick to respond in an urgent manner and resolve.

The room was clean and in good shape. Good value and they allowed our 2 little dogs which is hard to find.

The parking sucked, the underground garage was closed. There a was a very small tight parking lot in front of our building. Other people parked up there several times blocking other cars in, had to complain to get them moved so that we could go out to the store. There was supposedly an overflow lot across the street, never did find it, luckily a space opened up in front of our building. This has nothing to do with the hotel, it was a busy weekend and other residents left piles of of trash everything, they couldn’t keep up with, as soon as they cleaned it up there was another pile. Other than the parking, it is a very nice clean room.

It was peaceful and just what I requested ocean view. It was clean. The check in staff was friendly.

The elevator was nasty very hot the entrance was dirty. The cleaning staff was rude and not very friendly. The sink in the bathroom was rusted the air conditioner was rust outside and falling apart. Had to take your dirty towels down stairs your self to get clean ones. No ice buckets in room no extra cups no coffee.

The location is great. The staff is very friendly. Motel is a very very very short walk to the beach, It’s just a small yard to the beach. Beds are very comfortable. I have stayed at this hotel more times than I know. It’s the best value on the beach for someone that just loves the beach And doesn’t need fancy, but comfortable accommodations. I don’t have to find a dog sitter. I just take them with me. Bar Harbor is always my go to motel in Myrtle Beach. I have so many special memories and good times at this motel. I tried nicer and it just wasn’t for me.

I have no complaints. Bar Harbor is what I would expect for the money. And it’s just right for me and my family.

Randy was so nice and helpful. He has great customer service and his attitude is outstanding ! I will definitely be booking again solely because of him. So if you’re looking for somewhere affordable that’s also comfortable stop by Bar Harbor I’m sure they’ll take care of all your accommodations for your vacation stay the same as he did me and my family and we had oceanfront view( Amazing ). All can say is I will be telling all my friends and family about this place !!!!

for the price we payed and the location we could not complain at all! The location was great, we were walking distance from about everything we wanted to do. We had a balcony with a perfect ocean view and our room was comfortable and clean. Staff was helpful .

Only complaint we had was the elevator is VERY HOT, but wasn’t a huge big deal
