A wonderful concept. Wanderstay was comfortable and an excellent value. I don’t think it is for all travelers but it is described accurately. More than a hostel but less than a luxury hotel. A very good choice for the budget minded. The location is on the east side of the city out of the central district but with a car the center of the city is easily accessible. Parking is free and convenient.

The lighting in the rooms could be improved. There were no reading lights next to the beds. Otherwise, all was good.

The room was amazing, we got the safari room and as soon as we got in there it was just wow, from how it was decorated to the robe and slippers in there, this hotel was by far one of the best I have stayed at and given the chance I will stay there again next time I'm in houston, also the lady who we checked in with so friendly and offered us great suggestions for food/drinks as well as activities to do in both houston and galveston

One thing to note is that Wanderstay is more of an intimate, boutique experience, so don’t expect the same amenities as a big hotel (like 24-hour room service or a gym), but the trade-off is a more personalized and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always making sure I had what I needed. There's also a neighborhood gym right by the hotel also. Overall, I’d recommend Wanderstay to anyone looking for a cozy and creative place to stay in Houston. It’s perfect for couples or solo travelers who want something different from the typical hotel experience. Also- if you are headed to the convention center, there is a metro just 2 minutes away.

I recently stayed at Wanderstay Boutique Hotel for a weekend getaway, and it was a really pleasant experience. The location is perfect—right in East Downtown Houston, so it was easy to get to some cool restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel itself is small but cozy, with only 10 rooms, which gave it a really intimate vibe. Each room has a unique theme, and the one I stayed in was fun and well-decorated. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was clean and had everything I needed. The hotel is adults-only, which made it feel quiet and peaceful—ideal for a relaxing stay. What I appreciated most was how friendly the staff was. They were super helpful and made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. Also, the booking process was straightforward with no surprise fees, which I really liked. Overall, it’s a great spot if you're looking for a boutique hotel that’s a little different from the usual chains. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Houston!

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The decor is breathtaking. The hotel itself is immaculately clean. The outside of the hotel does not look like a hotel. Do not let that fool you. This place is a luxury. It also has a full kitchen that is huge and is for all guests to share. I loved that even the front door to the actual hotel and the gate have to have pin access to be able to open, so secure.

Our room was small, like very small, but it was gorgeous. We had the safari room.

Jasmine checked us in and she is the most personable person I’ve ever met - she was so welcoming and kind. There was some trouble with a fire alarm going off all day outside our room (which she spent the day fixing) but made sure to give us her personal number to contact her in case of any issues (which there weren’t). The room was lovely and it was great to have access to all the shared facilities without feeling like we were in a hostel space - it felt very up market!

When I arrived to Wanderstay, the staff was so nice and polite. They immediately gave me recommendations on places to eat and play in the area. The room was beautiful and I love that each room in this beautiful, boutique hotel has a different theme. The bed was super comfortable and I loved that I was able to connect to all my favorite entertainment apps right in my room. The hotel also has a gorgeous conference room that is available to guests. The location of the property was also perfect, located just a couple of minutes from downtown. I can’t wait for my next stay!

I absolutely loved my stay at Wanderstay Boutique Hotel! The room was incredibly comfortable — the bed felt like a cloud, and every little detail made it feel cozy and welcoming. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and vibe. The neighborhood is also fantastic — super walkable with cool restaurants, bars, and local spots just steps away. It’s the perfect place to relax and still be in the middle of all the action. Can’t wait to come back!

I loved how homey it felt. Not far at all from downtown Houston. Everything was nearby, some places were even walking distance. Gas station right down the street. The hotel even provides a few options that are nearby, very informative. The place was also very quiet! Nice and peaceful. Anywhere we wanted to go was less than 20 mins away. It has a very tropical vibe, loved it. It also has a pretty decent sized kitchen for coffee, snacks, fridge, microwave, toaster, and even a stove! Very clean.

Mmm... My least favorite if I have to say was probably the codes they give you to be able to access the building. It is very small. I would say it has around 6-8 rooms total. They gave us about 3 codes for each door when coming in including your rooms. Keep in mind if you plan to have a night with a few drinks.... You might have a hard time punching in the numbers. Since it's so small you can almost hear everything but again, it's supposed to be nice and chill. The rooms were pretty small, gave me a dorm vibe but it satisfied the purpose. There are no drawers for your clothes so keep that in mind of how small they are.
