Gigantic rooms and bathroom. Perfect size kitchenette. Perfect for my family of 4. Lovely pool and hot tub. It is Very close to so many yummy food places, and fun attractions, close beach access all around. All of the hotel staff was incredible . They are all beyond kind and welcoming and friendly and beyond helpful and had great recommendations and food and fun things to do. The cleaning crew was very clean and always made sure we had clean linens and towels and all the things we needed. They asked us every day if we had all that we needed to make sure we were well taken care of.

The gym needs some more working equipment and better fan.

The staff was so accommodating, kind and helpful. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The location of the hotel was good because we could walk to various restaurants.

The exterior and interior of the hotel was very old and a little unkept. For example, the exterior windows in the very front of the hotel were broken and very stained to the point you could not see the great view. The lobby area was warm and lacked air conditioning and the staff had to use fans to stay cool. The pool was very small and crowded. This was probably an amazing property in 1970. I just think the hotel could use a facelift while keeping the size of the rooms.

Very comfortable and accessible to laundry, gym pool and really close to stores! And food!

Some of the receptionist in the front desk, weren’t very happy or welcoming! We had gone down to ask gor Towels as it was a family trip with kids and they had only put one towel, lady was calling us liars and daid ig there wasnt any towels left would Be charged to us from card! Wasnt really a pleasant interaction but kids liked the trip overall

The SPACE. As a traveler that’s been to a lot of different hotels, inns, motels, and condos, I’ve seen all different types of rooms and accommodations. I can guarantee that the space these rooms have is great for those traveling in large groups like families. There is large closet space, especially in the suites. The pool was small but it was a good size and most of the time it wasn’t overly crowded. The hot tub is always nice and the location is great. There’s a lot of food places nearby along with shops. The price is definitely worth it since most days it is very low. The STAFF deserves an honorable mention since they were very nice and accommodating as well. The hot water is great and each room does come with a microwave and fridge as well as coffee machine.

This is not necessarily a con, but just some additional comments. The building itself looks worn and it does show it’s age in some areas such as outside, lobby, and parking space. The parking space can be confusing and somewhat uncomfortable to manage, but it was not a big deal for the days I stayed (personally). Another thing, there is some furniture in the room that needs a change such as the sofa and some chairs. However, the price was very compared to the good experience you can have here.

Honestly really pretty and affordable they did upgrade my room bc I early checked in and paid a small fee but the upgrade for the room itself was free which was great bc we had a lil kitchenette . The room itself was really cute and the shower was Soo big and pretty . Overall really enjoyed it and has lil restaurants close by which is perfect .

The TV/remote didn't work properly and that the ice machine was on the 4th floor 🥲 . Also this was a lil new to me but that check in is a must until 3pm I've gone to hotels where early check in isn't a problem but the price even with the early check fee in was still great !

Pros: We love staying at Sunchase Inn and suites ! We Love the pool, the rooms are always so clean and look old school. Convenient location and it was fresh at night as always & peaceful ❤️

Cons: The check in being so late at 3:00, The jacoozie wasn’t working, can’t swim in the morning before check out , no carts are available anymore to help carry our luggage. Other than that we love this place.

I had a wonderful stay at Sunchase Hotel on South Padre Island. The suite was spacious and comfortable, with a kitchenette and a sofa bed. I enjoyed swimming in the pool in the evening, it was magical. Watching the stars from the hot tub was something I will never forget, it was so relaxing and peaceful. The fitness center was basic but it had everything I needed to keep my fitness level in check. The coffee in the lobby was great in the morning, it gave me a boost of energy for the day. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and affordable getaway on the island.

Honestly The interior design is what I liked most! You can tell the hotel was built a while back. The carpet patterns, flooring, & lobby was outdated the restroom walls was made of actual floor the space in the room and restroom was HUGE they even had 2 closets and the hallways had big mirrors anywhere you turned you could see your reflection. It almost felt like I was in the 1920’s & not in a bad way!!! Hotels aren’t made the same anymore this hotel gave a “home” feeling to it. Everything in the hotel has been beautifully kept and taken care of! It almost gave a Scarface vibe to it! The front staff lady was kind, the location of the hotel is great! I had a good view to the streets and lights, everything was clean, and I felt comfortable. Overall I do recommend. :)

The fee of having more than one vehicle.

The pool is great, the rooms are comfortable and the gym is old but fun to just check out, the staff are always nice it’s not my first time stay, I like how close it is to different stores and restaurants. There’s a bar next door and a frozen yogurt shop for the kids.

Long walk to the beach but I can’t complain because it’s in the beach side. Some rooms are a little musty and some acs are not all great, I’ve stayed different times so I’ve gotten good rooms too. But they’ll move you if you don’t like it.

I enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. It was relaxing and fun to hang out with family and friends there. The pillows were also very comfortable to sleep on; they were soft. We enjoyed our room and had no issues with it; we liked the price they offered us for six adults, which improved our experience.

Unfortunately, we did see a dead cockroach in our bathroom and had to clean it up. There were also some holes and damages in the room, but they were not severe enough to disturb our presence there.
